Fix your equipment! Two months since the price increase and almost 50% of the washers are out of service.

Here today! I needed…read morea dry cleaners and Yelp recommended Winn Street Laundry, it was within 2 miles of my hotel so perfect. Winn Street Laundry does their laundry on premise but they send their dry cleaning out. I'm not use to their prices, they have a minimum weight and Jezzzzus, their prices was astronomical! I asked how much and gasps behind me for asking and the lady at the counter "This is Boston" look and their awards let me know YOU WANT YOUR CLOTHES DONE RIGHT, SCREW THE PRICES. $7 freakin dollars for a single shirt? It was either my ego that agreed, determined to look Winn Street Laundry starched down and pressed or didn't wanna look cheap and couldn't afford their services. I said out loud "Good grief, I pay $2.79 in Houston for a man buttoned down laundry, heavy starched shirt". I felt the evil eyes trying to climb my Psalm 91 hedges of protection because one of the two tunnels here was closed due to construction and the traffic put commuter's at least 30 minutes behind and in traffic. These Bostonians need to fire up a joint which is legal here and CHILL OUT:)))) Anywho, my dry cleaning was superb and the heavy starch I requested cut my neck and was ready before time. My shirt collars was white so I had not a one complaint for my HARD earned mula. I received a text when my clothes were ready along with a reminder of the price, I like that. I learned a valuable lesson from Winn; order some white polo's from Amazon, buy Spray n Wash along with spray starch and save that money for 2 16 inch bundles of human hair:))) Here today! There tomorrow!

With my clothes dryer waiting for repair and towels running low, I decided to wash at home and use this place to dry my towels. The front glass doors of this place are shattered. There is old, frayed, peeling duct tape in some places on the door which clearly point out this glass has been broken for some time. The place was filled with moms and young children waiting for their clothing to dry. Based on the fact these customers had carry totes with their laundry supplies, my sense is they use this laundromat regularly. I asked them if the door has been like this for awhile, and they said yes. I've noticed during my walks through town and other occassions I've had to use a dryer there many of the customers aren't fluent in English, and as such, perhaps are not aware there are state and city laws and ordinances which require the owner of thsi business to provide a safe and liability-free environment for his/her customers. While I was there long enough to load my towels in a machine, I counted 14 times a child under the age of about 10, pushed on the broken glass to get into the building. The door in is a "push door", and this is the shattered glass-door. Inside, you will find an enviroment that has seen no upgrades; has no amenities; and clearl does not show pride of ownership. I can't speak for the "dry cleaner" side as this was locked (closed for the day). Tomorrow I will try to reach an owner about the front door - after I call town hall to report this issue. People of Maynard, you have the right to safe businesses for you and your children. Speak up. Make phone calls. Leave a message for a selectman. Call the local police non-emergency line if you see a child in danger because of some deliberate ignorance on a business or homeowners part because they don't want to spend the money or take the time to properly replace broken glass or secure a piece of heavy equipment or whatever it may be. Shame on this business owner(s). This isn't your Grandparent's Maynard anymore. Step up or Step Out.
