The good: Helpful staff, beautiful pool and great live music. The bad: They purchased another park next to the original (that is very nice and well kept/North side). We booked the South side due to the price difference...that being said, it was not at all up to KOA standards! The grass was overgrown, and there was an entrance that came into that side of the park directly off the highway with no gate or anyone to monitor who came in. The first morning we were there a police officer stopped my husband and asked if we had seen someone running by. Also, the heated pool was NOT heated and the hot tub was out of service. Also, about 1/3 of the washer and dryers were out of service. Definitely not somewhere we would recommend unless you want to pay over $140 a night to stay on the "nice side" of the park. read more

Rudest Customer Service We Have Ever Experienced at a KOA We have been KOA members for many years and have stayed at the Nashville KOA almost every year while traveling to the World Championship Horse Show in Louisville. In fact, we had just stayed here 11 days ago for three nights and had a great experience, which makes what happened today even more disappointing. We had been dry camping at the Kentucky State Fairgrounds for 11 days and were stopping in Nashville again on our way home. I had already booked and paid for a premium site for today, fully understanding that normal check-in is at 3:00 PM. We arrived around 10:00 AM, and I simply went inside to ASK whether early check-in might be available. I was immediately met with attitude and told there was absolutely no early check-in. I explained that I had no problem paying an early check-in fee. I was then told that our site was still occupied. That seemed odd considering there were clearly numerous premium sites sitting empty when we drove into the campground. Rather than checking to see whether another site might be available or offering any type of solution, I was told we needed to leave and come back at noon. During the entire conversation, another older woman working there repeatedly inserted herself into the discussion, saying the same thing over and over. At no point did anyone seem interested in actually helping us. Since we had a large rig and had already been traveling, I finally said that if early check-in was impossible, I would simply PAY FOR AN ADDITIONAL NIGHT so we could get into a site. They proceeded to book the additional night at approximately $142 because of the higher Saturday-to-Sunday rate. Then another woman in a KOA shirt appeared and told me they were going to CANCEL OUR ENTIRE RESERVATION and that we should NEVER COME BACK. That was unbelievable. For the record, I never raised my voice. I was frustrated, but I was trying to find a reasonable solution and was literally offering to PAY MORE MONEY to stay there. Instead, I found myself being talked over by three older female employees who seemed far more interested in escalating the situation than helping a longtime KOA customer. If these were work campers representing KOA, they desperately need customer service training. We have traveled extensively and stayed at many KOAs over the years. We have also stayed at this particular campground repeatedly, including just 11 days ago, without an issue. But after the way we were treated today, we will NEVER stay at the Nashville KOA again. I know every KOA is different but this one is not up to standards. First, the good. Beautiful check in facility and then they escort you to your spot. We paid $69 plus fees for a pull through for one night. The spot could not even fit our Silverado attached to our 26' camper. And the sewer hookup was completely at the front of the camper! We asked to move and did get to go across the "street" to a spot that we could barely fit in. The space between the campers is about 14' and no grass, just dusty dirt and leaves. There were loud people most of the night so obviously they don't enforce quiet time. The park is directly on the expressway so there is very loud traffic 24/7 including big trucks air brakes, motorcycles racing, and airplanes every few minutes overhead. I'm glad we're only here for one night, would not recommend for longer term. Note to self. read more

KOAs are always a last resort for us. They are expensive and the staff are typically not great. This one is no exception. Unfortunately we are digital nomads and sometimes there is just no other campground. It started at the checkin. Our in-laws were meeting us there, we have similar size rigs, same electric, same reservation type. We were arriving an hour apart. They told us there was no way to put us next to each other. Keep in mind the KOA is no more than half full, maybe. They put us at a site that was severely unlevel. Like 9 inches unlevel. When we asked to be moved it was a HUgE to-do. After asking some questions; it was clear there were two sites, our reservation type, perfectly level that were available and right next to each other. I won't keep going but don't think that the check-in nightmare stopped there. My in-laws had a hell of a time 20 min later getting the site we had just been told was open. Stay was fine, it's clear the workampers live by their own rules, but if we put a single toe out of line there is someone whizzing by in a golf cart to correct us. Time to check out. Checkout is 11. It's 1103, mt husband is literally putting the last of our chords in the RV. It's clear we are pulling out momentarily. And here comes the golf cart. No, "are you all almost out?" Or "getting close". It's "you have to leave! I'm kicking you out". I don't know what KOA corporate handbooks look like but I'd say I had a similar experience at at least a dozen others. Behavior like this comes from the top. Be better KOA. read more

I stayed at the Nashville KOA long term while moving. Anyone staying long term is treated horribly. First, long term only gives you 75 reward points per night. What they don't tell you is that they limit the max points given also. I asked to see where it was listed in the terms and I have yet to have anyone provide that to me. The rewards is basically a scam. Spent over $16,000 on site fees and I qualify for a $50 reward after paying more than that in membership dues over the 2 years I was a member. If you're long term, don't expect grass to be cut regularly or leaves raked up unless you plan to purchase your own equipment and do it yourself. Trash pickup is hit and miss. If they can drive by it and pick it up without leaving the seat of their golfcart you might get it picked up. If your long term also expect to be put in one of the worst spots in the park surrounded by KOA employees. The better employees stay in the nice sites and the not so good ones they jam pack them next to long term campers. Long term sites also lack gravel and expect mud at the front of your campsite where you have to park. A few employees are good, but for the most part expect rude employees that don't want to help you in any way. The washing machines are packed with dog hair mostly by people that work there and them washing dog beds in the washing machine. Shower houses have been remodeled but fairly clean at best. Gym area requires you to have an employee unlock it for you, good luck on that one. Pools and hot tub are not treated properly and rarely clean. Pool is no longer heated as they advertise, and the hot tub is warm at best normally. Highway noise and nighttime racing on the highway is a nightly occurrence, and if long term they will put you on the spots closest to the highway. Expect to pay $11 for a few sticks of firewood, and if long term you will likely have to provide your own firepit. There are several other campgrounds in the area. I would definately recommend avoiding this one. read more

I called to get a site reserved for an extended stay. We were trying to get into a closer KOA to our jobs but the KOA we wanted had no openings. I put a 100.00 nonrefundable deposit down. The campground we actually wanted to stay in called 45 mins later; they would have an opening for the time we needed. I understand if it had been days or weeks and the campground lost a reservation because of us, but it was literally 45 mins, and they went ahead and charged us the 100.00. We are staying at another KOA it seems they could transfer that deposit. Oh well, I will never recommend that campground to any of our out-of-town friends. read more

We stayed here on our way to Florida and on our way back home twice now. We've also stayed there for a long weekend twice. We absolutely love this place. The pool is always clean, we love the spots with the doggy pens, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the grounds are always clean and well maintained. They are a short bike ride or car ride away from several restaurants and an Uber ride away from downtown Nashville. I highly recommend this campground. read more

This place has no regulations on types of rigs, dog breed, or running your engine for hours on end. One older bus rv ran its engine all day next to us because it was needing repairs. It was so loud. It finally left and we came back after a day out to find a fed ex truck with a sleeping cab I suppose parked next to us in the neighboring campsite to stay the night there. What?!? So I am posting this as a warning to anyone who may stay at the Nashville KOA Resort. We had a tree banch fall on our motorhome while we were there. The tree limb fell on a calm night and was infested with large black ants. It was over 15 feet long and around 8 inches round. It damaged our main air conditioner, satellite dish and smashed a portion of our windshield. Since arriving home we have found out that there also may be structural damage to the roof of the vehicle as well. This was only meant to be a stopover as we were intending to go to the Smoky Mountains and West Virginia as we made our way back home. Basically our trip came to a halt as we spent the next several days sourcing locals to help out with the necessary repairs without any assistance from the campground. We ended up staying 5 more days at the campround at our expense as it was not safe to drive (or legal) to drive the over 1,300 miles home with a broken windshield.The campgrounds insurance is not covering the repairs or our extended stay. Our insurance only covers the needed emergency repairs to return home. So not only was our trip ruined but our motorhome may not be done with repairs. The KOA's insurance claims it was a "healthy tree and deemed an Act of God. I am no arborist but this does not seem to be a healthy tree. Also, as a side note, we informed them that this tree was infested with black ants and they are still allowing people to camp at this site and have not taken the tree down. Please share so no one else has to go through what we have endured. read more

I really wanted to give this KOA more than 3 Stars. Have traveled thru this KOA twice now and many other KOA's we were disappointed this time. This is a very busy KOA. I called the office to find out when the Showers & bathrooms were cleaned. The lady said, if and when they need cleaning the team will clean them. I went to the Showers and was shocked at condition. Slimy floors, broken faucet w/single hand spigots that just twirl which led to zero hot water. It took trying 2 other bathrooms to get the water to work. I reviewed directly thru the koa mgmt about the baths and heard nothing back. I hate giving bad reviews, but this KOA Nashville needs to read all reviews online about the bathrooms. The good: The Park's location is quite a distance to the downtown area but they have a shuttle service that provides rides. Love that about the transportation offerings. This park is better than most but we expected more with it being Halloween weekend. They didnt have activities planned for Sunday or Monday which was Halloween. The hot tub and heated pool was enjoyed by the whole family. We also liked the band they had playing Saturday night. Bathrooms were clean but I didn't get any hot water. We have stayed here in the Spring and love it! Now we are here for December, glad we were able to stay a week. The stuff is very nice. Over priced dirty campground! The prices are equivalent with KOA's in Santa Cruz, California with ocean views. This is a nice campground but dirty and poorly maintained. The pool water was dirty. WARNING! Most of the negative reviews have stated that there is a huge problem with staff and management. Our experience with TJ, the on-site manager , motivated me to WARN fellow travelers because I have no assurance that a HUGE PROBLEM will be fixed under his watch. We arrived after driving @ 600 miles a few minutes before they closed the registration desk. The woman who checked us in gave us all the information we needed, including the code to our deluxe cabin, and thoroughly explained how we can contact after hours support if needed. We arrived at the cabin and proceeded to enter the seven digit code she provided. It would not open the door. I am immediately called the after hours number and left a voice message. I also texted another support number and called the main office. NO RESPONSE... since the office had just closed, I went back, but it was already abandon.. the entire staff had left the site. I continued to call the after hours emergency number leaving multiple messages. NO RESPONSE!! So it's cold, and dark, we are starving, and we have no other lodgings beside our car, or the extremely overpriced Nashville hotels. We continue to try the code, and even used different combinations of the numbers assuming she may have mixed them up when handwriting it on our brochure. Thankfully, our cabin neighbor showed up and told us their lock has only six numbers... so we tried six number combinations of our code.... Guess what.. we did not get a call back from anyone until the next morning around nine when a young lady listened to the recording. TJ showed up at our cabin about 20 minutes later. From the moment he arrived, he showed no empathy or level of concern for what we had experienced, and was almost nonchalant about the lack of after hours support. We explained that we understand human error in writing down an incorrect code, but it's gravely concerning that someone would have an emergency (imagine if we had a car load of kids or an elderly person with us!!) and there is absolutely no one to assist in any way. TJ simply said if it were him, he just would've gotten a hotel which proved to us he has no understanding of his real responsibilities in managing this KOA. Above all else, his responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of his guests. Of course, we asked him to prioritize fixing his emergency contact system, and also to provide us with a reasonable refund. He said he would get back to us... We were stunned by his lack of follow up.. he never called us, and in fact avoided several of our attempts to reach him. He may mature overtime, but my guess is he just does not have his priorities straight, and based on other reviews, is not leading his team in guest satisfaction or safety. RECOMMENDATION check out the Two Rivers RV park next door... maybe that would be a better choice for your trip. read more

The cabin was charming and clean. The staff were so very nice. The neighbors were unbelievably friendly. From staff to neighbors, I actually felt at home! My family and I went here for 4 days. 3 people in a deluxe cabin. They cabin was perfect! A lot of room. Only thing is the kitchen was a bit small. But huge refrigerator and a decent size fridge. When we arrived there were 2 dog poop bags laying under the stairs in front of the door. A little gross... The beds were okay. They were making some noises when turning around and during the night u can hear the highway a lot! Woke up several times each night. When sitting outside the cabin eating breakfast and dinner you could hear the noise as well. There was no shade whatsoever. Very hot to sit outside and not being able to sit in the shadow! The pool was good! 30 Celsius degrees and the spa was 38 Celsius. During our 4 day visit the spa didn't work. People also ate and drank while being in the pool so at the end of the day the water was not looking very nice. The bottom of both the pool and spa was dirty all 4 days of our trip. They have a little shop with ice cream that were good and okay in price. 3 ice cream 13$. Very nice on a hot day! On their site they say they have a gym with "treadmills". One of their treadmills is "out of order" and the other one is glitching when turning on. I tried to run and almost feel off because it was working so bad. The smallest gym I have ever seen. And I would never call it a gym ! They should really update their sites when they have machines and stuff that doesn't work. And also washing machines that's out of order. You literally don't know until u get here and see it yourself. A little bit of a scam if u ask me. The internet was working badly ! Kept logging on and off, all the time ! We were really happy to stay here! Overall a very nice place but a lot of noice ! But there is things they could really improve on! So I'm back from vacation and had to do laundry again. No surprise, 2 washers and 2 dryers are still down. Well that is what I thought, but when I went to put my sheets in a dryer they were soaking wet!!! The washer that was suppose to be working doesn't spin. What is wrong with the owner/management here? Are they that stupid!!! REPLACE THE MACHINES AND why does one exact style machine give you 36 mins and another give you 43 mins. It's called a ripoff, it's how they steal your money. And one more thing, they had the laundry room shut off from the store because it got too hot in there, well that was fixed but now the door going outside won't shut SMH. The people that work here under maintenance should be able to fix that. read more

I could not believe that they charged us a fee for a late checkout when we were having truck trouble, and were able to get it fixed and we were on the road by 12:30pm. Really? Have they no compassion? It's not like we wanted to spend another lunch in downtown or anything. EXCEPTIONAL check in service upon arrival, one of the best experienced at a KOA. However, my site was flooded, and the 50-amp breaker was blown. Kudos to the maintenance team for getting to it ASAP. Yes, we all know it rains, but run off should be a part of your pad installation as it is clear some sites were very flooded (mine) and others bone dry, so we know it can be done. You could also get a squeegee out and clean up the site since the rain stopped 3 hours before I arrived. My fire pit was also broken. The cafe and lobby area were nicely appointed and decorated for the holidays. The road noise you will read about is real. Many of the nicer sites (patios, paw pens etc. are right up against the freeway, that is frequented by the underdeveloped and emotionally challenged truck drivers that still think using the jake brake is funny. read more

Was going to stay at a Gaylord Opryland resort, yet they don't allow pets. So, driving across country for very first time in my Travel Trailer with dog. Asked for pull through and quieter spot. She went on to tell me they'll be people all around me and if I wanted space and quiet, to come in February!!! Again, I have zero idea about RV parks and their set ups! Nicest park we've visited. Our spot had a private dog park and traveling with dogs makes that invaluable!! Nice sites, outdoor furniture, plenty to do in warmer weather. We are just passing through but highly impressed! Will certainly stop again. Update: just read the other posts about rude and inhospitable employees. That is a bummer to hear and while I won't remove a star for it the women at check in certainly didn't have warm and cozy attitudes. That needs to be addressed as the park seems awesome. read more

Our family had a great stay at Nashville KOA Resort! Perfect for families. The staff was friendly and helpful. My son fell off his bike and one of the men on the golf carts helped him back to our site with his bike. We enjoyed music by the pool and my son had a blast with all the games. Location was perfect for us, we visited the Opry and had easy drives to downtown. The sites were clean and well maintained. RV hook ups had no issues. We look forward to coming back!
