When I began having pain from Plantar Fasciitis nearly three years ago, I knew I needed more support under the arch of my foot than my fashionable shoes offered. I feared the only solution would be expensive custom-made orthotics which would be fitted to a few pairs of comfort shoes to be worn every day regardless of outfit. I learned of Soul Insole Shoe Bubble through a Facebook ad. Since it claimed to be a small gel cushion which could fit into many different types of shoes while giving arch support, I ordered one set to try. I was shocked at how transferrable the cushion was, and how it could not be seen even in shoes with open sides. Most of all, I was surprised and delighted that my heel pain quickly resolved with the addition of this product. I now own six pairs and swap them around to whatever shoes suit me. Sandals, ballerina flats, Keds sneakers or boots - the Shoe Bubbles can be used in all of my favorites. When they are looking a bit grungy from lint buildup, I just run them under warm water with a dab of dish soap and let them dry naturally. They are good to go for many more wearings. I'm not a frequent review-writer, but the Soul Insole Shoe Bubbles work just as advertised and are well worth the money. They allow me to indulge my love of shoes without being punished with shooting heel pain.

Almost ten years later, I was randomly next to the store and went in to look around. I was informed of their relaxers and it was mentioned that they would fit well in my heels. I was about to go to a wedding so I was sold. It has now been about 20 years since I bought my first pair. I've since gotten my maintainers adjusted once (thank you life time warranty) and am feeling knee pain again. I'm considering purchasing the strengtheners now that I'm older and exercising less. Dr. Anderson healed the infection and transfered me to Dr. Cullen. What a great COOPERATION! Model for the Medical field! After 2 visits Dr. Cullen performed the surgery. 2 months later I AM BACK to ALL of the activities I performed before the injury. Now I do it ALL: *lift weights *hike in the mountains * ride bicycle *ride my street and dirt motorcycles NO RESTRICTIONS! I was told that I would be called before it was made and told how much my share of the cost would be, so I could decide if I wanted it or not. The next call I received was to book an appointment for a fitting. Since I hadn't received the cost call, I erroneously assumed it was covered 100%. I set up an appointment for 6 days later. This morning, the day of my appointment, Hanger called to let me know I have a $650 "deductible." When I expressed my irritation at being told this so late in the process, the woman was a little too polished at dismissing my concerns, explaining that that was why she was calling before my appointment. I pointed out that THE DAY OF does not constitute calling me with any chance of halting the process. I am furious. Clearly this is standard practice for them. My orthopedist says I need this custom brace, but I really don't want to reward their perfidy.

My son has been a patient since he was 2 years old. Over the years, J & J has made many different braces for him, including a TLSO (before spine fusion surgery), AFOs, knee braces, hand/wrist braces, and other custom solutions as his needs changed with growth and life. Jason is the reason we've stayed all these years. He is extremely knowledgeable, but what makes him special is his creativity and persistence. He doesn't just "make a brace" -- he thinks carefully about comfort, function, and real life use, and then keeps refining until the brace truly works. As my son grew, Jason kept making better and better designs that helped him tremendously. If we ever had an issue -- fit, pressure points, function, anything -- Jason took the time to troubleshoot and adjust until it was right. Their office team deserves a lot of praise too: responsive, supportive, and reliable. Timing matters a lot when you're managing medical appointments and mobility needs, and they consistently deliver on time and communicate well. I was taken by two individuals who did not introduce themselves. I had to ask who they were (names). I think it's usually customary or more thoughtful these days to introduce who you are and why you'll be in the room with someone. They did somewhat explained the procedure of having a cast done but otherwise said nothing. When they were done, I was standing with water all around my foot and a still wet leg with no offer to give me a towel or anything to wipe off my leg. I had to ask. They then said do you have any questions? And I said I don't know should I have questions? I don't know what to expect after this so I'm not sure what questions I should ask. They then briefly explained that the insurance would be checked they would send off my cast for a brace to be made then someone would call me. I had to ask when someone calls me is that to just come in and pick up my brace or what's the procedure? I literally felt like they thought I should know or shouldn't care what the follow up is after coming in. I don't expect them to necessarily be friendly or chatty, but in healthcare especially when you're touching someone's body I would expect them to introduce themselves and tell me why they're there. I would also expect them to be thoughtful enough to give me a towel. If I'm standing in water and my leg is wet. And I would expect them to offer up the full follow up procedures rather than may have to ask if I should know what questions to ask. I know this may be people's only place to get the things they need, but it's very disappointing in today's healthcare setting that this would be the best you can get. Again points to the lady at the front reception area.

After a few weeks I attempted to contact them. I never actually talked to anyone, the phone always went to voicemail. Now that I am attempting to switch vendors, I am having difficulty because they are reporting that they mailed me my shoes. I have never received anything from them, and I don't know how they would even know what size to send, as I have never stepped foot in the business. They are scamming the government contract and charging the VA for equipment they are not providing.
