Brought up some concerns with "patient experience " in the past, and they were a joke too. My son ran out their medication - his refills are to be filled automatically . Called their service department so he can get his refill signed off by the doctor, and they marked the message as "urgent" which means it can take up to 48 hours for the doctor to full fill that request. I asked to be transferred from the call center to the actual doctor's office and they told me they can't do that which is a lie. We use to be able to call the directly into the doctor's office, but now they don't even let you do that. Needless to say, they never got back to us yesterday, but I was able to solve the situation temporarily elsewhere . Over 40 hours since they first got the fax request from the pharmacy and still waiting. They need to seriously put better processes in place and hire competent support staff.

After years of dwindling physical health, pain, numbness, & weakness I was finally referred to UCSD Neurology. Fortunately my appointment was with Dr. Siavoshi. This woman is amazing. She let the data lead. Rather than let prior hastily arrived at opinions influence her assessment, she took test, got labs, and developed a treatment plan to help alleviate constant pain. This stood in contrast to prior evaluations of my condition apparently informed solely by my age, gender, & appearance. We had some scary moments for sure but we also could rule out things such as MS. Dr. Siavoshi is attentive to the science of medicine & the care of her patients. I cannot speak more highly of her as a doctor. She identified & drastically improved my migraines, she identified & stopped peripheral neuropathy & associated pain due to poor nutrient uptake and, she took charge of neurological monitoring. I am forever grateful.

The only way we were able to get an appointment was by physically driving there. When we arrived, there were at least three receptionists just standing around chatting, which made it even more frustrating considering no one seems to answer the phones or return messages. To make matters worse, even my pharmacy couldn't get a hold of them to verify a prescription. It's incredibly disappointing and concerning, especially when you're trying to coordinate care for a family member. Communication and responsiveness should be the bare minimum for a medical office, and unfortunately this place completely failed in that regard.

Kind, tremendous follow up, I have never had any type of wait. I usually get Sierra who is amazing with appointments and follow up. My Dr Glenn Harris is probably one of the best in the nation. Look at his RESUME!! He has trained at the two top neurological centers. Stanford and Vanderbilt. This is long but my journey has been long. I have contacted all the top centers. Good luck getting in and bring all your retirement as they don't accept any Medicare even with PPO. Dr. Harris graduated with honors at one of the top schools. Again, we are damn lucky to find this center. Ohhh and Dr Harris bedside manner? Come on...the best.. So how The hell somebody gives this place less than 5 stars. You should be ashamed. We have one of the top centers in our backyard. Do your homework.. look up the Drs. If you are not happy try Stanford. They take about 5 months to get in..and very short on the phone. I'm blessed to have found this center. In my city! Mark

I have torn tendons in my gluteus, bursitis as well as something (I don't know what) going on with my sciatica. I couldn't participate in the activities that I enjoy, like pickleball, without being in excruciating pain during and after. I was taking 4 Advil and 3 Tylenol every 5 or so hours a day for 3 weeks and constantly icing my body. I had seen 4 orthopedic surgeons and 3 chiropractors all of whom told me there was nothing that could be done, except steroid injects, which only provide temporary relief and are terrible for the body. During my first visit, Dr. How assessed my needs and treated me the same day. I had immediate relief. It has been about 5 weeks and I have not taken any pain meds and I have been playing pickleball without any pain. Of course I had to take a few days off from playing after the treatment, but even my friends noticed that I was playing significantly better. My pain levels have significantly improved. Over the last 5 weeks, I have been back to treat different parts of my body and each time I have significant improvement in both mobility and pain levels. Dr. How really cares about is patients. He really listens to what my needs are as well as what my limitations are and he treats me as an individual. We discuss what we are working on and come up with a game plan. I say "we are working on" because it really feels like we work as a team. Another thing I really appreciate is that I never have to wait. Dr. How sees me at my appointment time. In addition to Dr. How being amazing, everyone in his office is just as thoughtful, kind, helpful and pleasant. When you walk into the office, Carrie always greets me with a warm smile. If you have any questions or concerns, everyone is super helpful and pleasant. I can tell everyone likes working there and what they do. If you are suffering from pain, please go see Dr. How. There is no need to continue to live in pain. His methods work!!

AS it turned out, I was BETTER treated and cared for by ANYONE but this person. I was surprised that I was able to get in so quickly and NOW I know why. I was originally supposed to see another Dr at the La Jolla facility which would have been 1 1/2 month wait (as was the other Dr I saw previously) but they said they had an opening in a few days at Hillcrest with this person, so I took it. The two days before my appt. I was contacted to change my appt. 3 TIMES. She said she didn't want to stay past 1:30 p.m. the final time and asked me to come at 12pm. She wanted to leave early. (My original appt was at 4pm) This was on a Wed. The waiting room was pretty vacant and I saw her quickly, and after dealing with her, I know why. When she walked in she was snippy, abrupt, snappish and SO absorbed in herself that she didn't LISTEN AT ALL. I told her I have had very bad issues with vaccinations, injections, chemical sensitivities, and multiple allergies. I also told her about reactions and other issues with different things I have had happen. She then turned to me and quickly blurted something at me that was said SO quickly and almost snapping . I asked her what she had said and she repeated it. I told her due to ALL the issues I had told her, I DID NOT feel comfortable injecting harmful things that more than likely, due to my history, near my brain or into my body. The WHOLE time she was rolling her eyes and huffing and puffing. She got very rude and told me if I wouldn't do what she recommended she wasn't going to do anything. I also told her of a medication I NEARLY died from, she ended up PRESCRIBING IT FOR ME. She asked if I had been in an accident, YES, I had told you that earlier! The whole time she was being aggressive, argumentative and VERY SHORT. I REALIZED I SHOULD HAVE JUST LEFT when she said she wouldn't help me instead of feeling obligated to finish the visit! The whole thing was a FIASCO, she also prescribed another medication that NOT ONLY DIDN'T help but CAUSED me problems making them WORSE. THIS is just the TIP of the iceberg with this visit. I would suggest ANYONE that needs a NEUROLOGIST LOOK ELSEWHERE. I have NOT seen such puffing, eye rolling and acting out since JR. HIGH. I told my GP, filed a complaint with her office, with UCSD, and will be putting my evaluation on here, Healthgrades and other medical review sites. She waved her hand in the air as she gave me the BAD PRESCRIPTIONS with the other and said, I don't need to see you anymore, without even looking up. AS IF she thought I would ACTUALLY come back for rudeness and incompetence! I stayed because I THOUGHT I had to but if I had to do it again, I would have LEFT when she first got bitchy. It would have saved me AT LEAST SOME TIME.
