Found this restaurant on Yelp and read several reviews. After looking at the menu and location, this restaurant was selected for dinner. The place is in a strip mall off of College Street in Auburn. We were seated quickly and drink and entrees orders were taken. The spicy chicken, rice, and mandu along with beverages were picked. Food came out within a reasonable time and we were checked on frequently by the serving staff during the stay. The chicken was well-prepared and very tasty. The side dishes consisted of a good variety of spicy, non-spicy dishes that helped with eating the meal. Overall, this was a good place for dinner when wanting Korean food in Auburn. read more

Get the Auburn Tiger Roll!! The best part is that it's $5.95 and you won't regret it! The Beef Bibimbap in the stone bowl was delicious; it's definitely one of the better ones I've had in Auburn. The veggies were perfectly crunchy and the meat was cooked just right. My one critique would be I wish the egg was put in the bowl uncooked like most authentic places so I could mix it in the stone bowl myself and have it cooked that way. They have menu items here that you cant find at other local Korean restaurants and if you are willing to take a change you can find a few of the gems here. For example the blood sausage here is delicious and comes in a huge portion. I couldnt take a flattering picture of it only because.. well its sausage and its dark... use your imagination. But whatever its delicious. If you want an idea of what it tastes like then it like a mix of boudin and a blood sausage. Worth a try if you are feeling adventurous. The Korean fried chicken is worth a trip here as well. Also, comes in a huge portion and its covered in a sweet, spicy, sticky sauce that is so irresistible. This place is very unassuming...it's in a tiny location in a strip mall in Auburn, Alabama; but do not be fooled: the food here is amazing. I had only eaten Korean food a few times before in my life. I wouldn't describe myself as picky, but I can definitely be a hesitant eater, especially if I can't predict exactly how a dish will taste. When I walked into naruto, my server was very patient with me and answered all my questions. He even asked me some questions of his own in order to best gauge what kind of dish I would best like. I had the spicy goat stew and the seafood pancake. I had never had goat before. I had also never tasted the spices that were in the stew. It was incredible! It was definitely money well spent. It's not that this place is bad but in comparison to all the Japanese food I've ever had, it wasn't great. I thought Fuji was even better which is only a few stores down. The service here is nice as expected in a sit-down restaurant. We ordered the Roll Tide Roll and the Teriyaki Chicken combo dinner box. The Teriyaki chicken was what really saved everything because the fried rice wasn't really that good. They served a lot of appetizers like mushroom miso soup and this salad with the weirdest dressing texture I've ever seen. I figured out that the texture is weird once I located the fridge that stored all of their pre-made salads who knows how long ago. The Roll Tide Roll was alright. It was just very very cheesy. Probably the most cheese in a special roll I've ever had. It's not that it was bad. It's just not something I would have again. I think this place gets such a review from me not because it's bad by any means but compared to all the sushi places I've ever had, this doesn't compare, but if you didn't have the same sushi experience I had, then this place really isn't bad at all. read more

So I ordered the spicy fried chicken Togo. I ordered when they opened and picked it up 20 mins later. I had high hopes for this because I've had some good KFC back in Texas. I was a bit disappointed. It's wasn't spicy at all. It may be because my tolerance is pretty high, but I did expect a little kick. Sadly, just tasted like BBQ chicken to me. It was very crunchy which was a plus, but a little too much batter. And it tasted a bit burnt sometimes. The portion size is pretty big, but definitely overpriced for 21.99. I've gotten the same amount for half the price back in Texas. It did come with a cup of pickled radish. I know it's a Korean restaurant, but it'd be nice if they had some workers who spoke some english. It was kinda hard to order. Despite the fact that it is excellent, I don't find as many Korean restaurants in the south as the Americanized Chinese restaurants or the Japanese steakhouses. Nonetheless, these folks are really friendly and know how to cook the food (they also do Japanese and sushi- did not try). Bulgogi was really good. Slightly sweet sauce on sliced beef. They also serve six or seven traditional Korean vegetables/side dishes with the meal (really tiny sampler portions). The only reason I did not rate it 5 stars is that the price is on the high side ($9 to $24 for the entrees-- Bulgogi is $12 and so is Bibimbap). read more

If I could give it no stars I would. They are always so rude to white customers. I went in around 2pm to get dumplings Togo because I don't even feel comfortable dinning in. I asked for extra dumpling sauce. The guy gave me the wrong sauce but I didn't notice until I got home. So I drive all the way back across town only to find them closed until 4pm. I called their number and explained to the lady who answered I had gotten the wrong sauce. I understand you are closed but it would be a simple and quick fix. She said no. They open at 4pm. So I'm supposed to now wait here another hour to get sauce? So I can reheat my dumplings later?! For everyone else, the dumplings without the sauce are worthless. So now I've wasted 10$ on a meal. It was so hot that my fingerprints felt like they had been burnt off. The sauce is sticky and sweet but spicy as well. The banchan helps to cool off the chicken. The chicken is moist with this thick coat of batter that is beyond crunchy. It's about $20 but the portion is so huge. Naurto is a pretty decent korean spot for a small town like auburn. The food is not amazing however, it is better than other korean places like green pig. They have a wide variety of food including sushi. As far as customer service, they are very friendly and willing to assist. One bad thing is that they need more waitresses. This place is the non teppan version of Mikata. It's pretty good food. The prices are pretty reasonable. Do not get sushi here. Go to Fuji. Get the box lunch or bowls. The Korean tofu soups here are pretty awesome as well, and pretty reasonably priced. read more
