If I could give a negative star rating I would. I called to schedule a work physical and TB. I spoke with the dr. Told her what I needed to be seen for. She looked at the papers stating how I would need to go other places. Started looking in my file telling the NP that she needed to write down I was type 2 diabetic with back pain, and that my labs were out of range. (Only partly true, I do not have back pain or any other physical pain). Then told me when I asked about the TB test that they dont do the skin test they only do chest x Ray's. Pulls the requisition form out states to the NP, write down PT has positive skin test needs chest xray. In 20 years of having a TB skin test done and at least one blood test two years ago I've never had a positive skin test. I told her this, and she again restated the same instructions to the NP. Then she started raising her voice at me about my labs and how I needed to fast 14-16hrs between dinner and breakfast to lose weight, and that was how I would get my labs in to range. Mind you the door to the room I was in was either cracked or wide open as was the room next to mine that also had a pt in it, the entire time. At this point I was done and stood up. The NP had left the room with the door wide open. The dr still rambling at me. At this point the pt from the other room left, waving at the dr. I could clearly see this person. She proceeded to point and I quote "that 'person' had a liver transplant". Then put her arm across the door way to keep me from leaving. I said excuse me, I am done here. You have violated HIPPA protocols, and that persons right to privacy.
I left the office and none to quietly. Im sure people heard what she had done.
I have called Medi-cal Anthem Blue Cross and filed a grievance against her. For HIPPA violation and for attempting to falsify a record.
Please, do not go here. Her advice is not good for diabetics, her ethic is horrible, her respect for pt privacy is even worse. read more
