Service is Terrible. I stopped at the drive thru yesterday evening a little before 6p and ordered one entree. It took 25 min to get the order. I have never waited that long. I had parked to wait and after 20 min I went inside and had to wait at the counter being ignored by the two teenage females that were behind the counter. After I finally got someone's attention and ask about my food, they said it was ready. And I asked if that's normally how long it takes and they just said, depends and kind of shrugged. Legit the worst experience. The past two times ive went here they have pulled me for food and made me wait 20+ minutes. Staff is extremely rude, and waiting on food for this long is insane. The food is fantastic! I like that they are willing to make substitutions for side items, no problem. Service is very , very friendly! However...the drive thru line is really slow once you have to park and wait for your food. It can be awhile! So bring a book, or your phone, or just your favorite person so you can have a meaningful chat while you wait. BUT! When your food comes out, your server will be friendly and your food will be HOT! So, if you choose the drive thru on a busy day, you have been warned! The parking lot is very nice! The food is just fantastic, the jumbo shrimp and steak being my favorite! I recently stopped and ordered lunch in the drive-thru, and after waiting twenty minutes for them to bring my food to me, I walked into the restaurant and saw my order on the counter, bagged just sitting there. Service is slow - EXTREMELY SLOW!!! Be mindful of this when you're either in a hurry or have all day to wait. The shrimp sauce doesn't have any flavor to it and the meal doesn't taste that great. Did not know, and I was not told when I called in that there is a 5% Call In fee to call in your order ahead of time. I waited 25 minutes after I called in my order for my food. After speaking with a manager, I was told the fee is listed on my receipt, after I pay. They are strictly enforcing patrons to wear masks however none of the staff were wearing their masks properly. NONE of the staff even had the mask covering their nose... Rude employees. The sushi was very small. Our drinks were never filled and they cleaned a table next to us with spic and span and a paper towel instead of a bleach rag, and it about choked us they sprayed it so many times. The employees were more involved with there phones then helping anyone. One couple left due to the fact there order was never put in. They sat there about 35 min before requesting a refund. I've been going there for years and the food has always been really good. I hear some people complain about service when it's really busy but what do you expect when a place is busy they must be busy for a reason I mean it's not called the lunch hour for nothing. Service is pretty standard when it's really busy it's kind of difficult to get their attention when you're already seated but since you order upfront before you sit down at least you know they have your order. Occasionally there would be some dramatic customers but that can't be helped you can't control who walks in the door. My favorite dish would be the large udon noodle soup with beef chicken and shrimp very filling and a very nice selection of sushi. The restaurant itself is very flexible when it comes to modifications on an order but you should keep in mind when you substitute or remove too many things from a menu item that's not that thing anymore so most of the time I try to stick with what's on the menu. read more

love the food. but a girl who is working here apparently the "manager" doesn't know how to manage her attitude. she has a blue claw clip in today but she's around her 20's. I don't want to come back till she gets fired. She was standing right infront of a customer mocking them literally doing the whole repeating what they say in a high pitched voice routine like she is five years old. it's 5pm on a Sunday so if the owner is reading this I hope you fire her. I'm 14 and I work on a very busy foodtruck. I've dealt with high demand and pressure and I have never ever had the need to talk to a customer like that. not even when a poor lady thought she deserved her food for free. there and two people in line and she is "so stressed out" to the point that she can't keep her cool. Consistently very good. The hibachi (and other entree's) are ample and very tasty. The sushi is also very good. Not the best I've had, but I've had it in Boston and San Francisco on the water, so I'm very critical. It is however, VERY good as I said, really no minuses at all. If you've never tried sushi, do. Many things on the sushi menu is cooked and many of the rolls have raw vegetables, but not raw fish, just ask them. On the raw fish, always high quality, never any strong fishy odor. As I said, VERY good... for the area, EXCELLENT. I doubt you'll find any better in inland North Carolina. Just wish they had their menu online. If you want takeout, just look at Guber's (or others') menu for what they have. You don't have to use their service, but if you've never had any of this before, you'd be well advised to look at the menu ahead of time before getting in line and not knowing what you want, there are MANY choices, something for everyone, even those who don't want Asian... iirc. Regarding the stars, I'm a very tough reviewer, so 4 stars is very good. ;) I think there's only one or two places in Lenoir that would get 5 stars from me. Food was very good with large portions and fast. Service is terrible especially if they are busy. After you get your food that's the last you see of anyone. If you want a drink refill you have to go ask and even then you stand forever waiting and Noone helps and they just look at you and walk by without asking what you need. read more

Sometimes the food is better and sometimes not so good. I think we will give up on Nara. I order Shrimp with Broccoli. The dish was bland except for a dirty oil taste. It could have been scorched oil or a dirty wok, but just not so good. Wife had chicken with mushrooms. All tasted old. The rice with both dishes didn't seem freshly made and it was bland as well. Food is pretty good sometimes they have the best fried rice I've ever had sometimes not. Chicken is often little overcooked but not bad, the sweet carrots are really good all the time.
