I went with a group, and it definitely helps that one of us knew the owners of this place as we were escorted straight into a VIP elevator which took us to the top floor -- a rooftop club with a retractable ceiling and a HUGE full bar! We started the night up there and it was only us, no other people. What a treat! Afterward, we took the elevator back down to the main venue, a giant hall with lots of private tables and dancers up on stage. I noticed that Teatro Kapital was celebrating its 30th anniversary, which means it outlasted Juliana's in Tokyo by three decades! :-D Next time I'm in Madrid, Teatro Kapital is going to be in my rotation!

The woman who greets and may own the club shoved my wife. Madrid which is a wonderful friendly place showed me a rude and sad side that reflects that a visitor who loves life and fun and was ready to spend money was not welcome. We left and I am happy that we did not get inside. My night ended on a bad note because this club has a very strange sense of hospitality - I hope that some day the people at this club learn that being rude is bad for Madrid.
