BUYER BEWARE!!! I was involved in the purchase of a vehicle from this dealership that ultimately turned out to have SERIOUS mechanical issues. What concerned me most was not just the condition of the vehicle, but what we learned afterward. After seeking legal advice regarding our options as consumers, we were made aware that an arbitration clause had been embedded in the sales paperwork and was mandatory to complete the transaction. This provision prevents buyers from resolving disputes in court and instead requires private arbitration, which substantially limits consumer remedies. In situations like ours, this approach minimizes the dealership's accountability once a sale is complete. Anyone considering purchasing here should take the time to read every document carefully and understand the long-term implications of what they are being asked to sign. Transparency and accountability appear secondary to protecting the dealership from liability. read more

This was one uncomfortable dealership experiences I've had. The issue wasn't even with the salesperson it was the finance team. They were throwing out numbers and pushing deals without even reviewing any of my information to see what I actually qualified for. It felt like they were just trying to get as much money out of me as possible, without giving me a fair or realistic picture of rates or financing options. I think that's just unethical. What really bothered me even more was how they treated other customers. While I was there, two separate deals fell apart including mine and two different groups of people walked out. One of them was a couple of young guys being yelled at right next to me. I told the my sales person directly that I didn't like the way they were treating people. It was unprofessional and completely unacceptable. This is exactly why people hate buying cars. read more

Had a recall for my Yukon Denali. Had a great experience and the service was excellent. Steve and Santo were great to deal with. The recall was rectified quickly. I needed a bracket for the front end they ordered it for me and put it on and my license plate. Both times I was there they offered to wash my truck! Great service! read more

I went to look and possibly purchase a vehicle. The salesman was good, however his manager wasnt very good. They had fees, other fees amd more fees. Without explaining what the fees were. First fee was taxes and "other fees" so I added up taxes and it came out to be 350 dollars less than what was written up. I question the salesperson he didnt have a good response he kept running back and forth to manager. Later he told me that their computer system couldn't accurately depict the number. WHAT? Red flag. The another line for document fee is just accepted it of course its illinois. The next line was ert fee whatever they call it paperwork. The next was a line that says "other fees" I just had other fees on line one no this is another "other fees" for another 277. I asked what that was for salesperson ran back and forth and couldnt provide a good bullshit answer. With over 627 additional unknown fees. I walked out. You see sometimes its not the car that I need as much as a decent human being that is trustworthy. Once you show me I cannot trust you your dead to me. read more

Horrible shady place. read more

Covid changed more businesses in 2020. We purchased our Enclave here six years ago when it was Courteous Buick. We always brought our Enclave here (except when we were out of town) for oil changes and other services. Courtesy Buick was HONEST and treated their customers very well. This might have been my second oil change this year as Covid had us staying home more than normal and hardly driving our vehicles at all. So of course an oil change was needed before the end of the year. I made an appointment and noticed the name change from Courtesy to Napleton. Came in and noticed all new employees in the service area. Gave them my keys, a coupon, signed the papers and walked to the Customer Waiting Area. At first glance it looked the same. But take a closer looks and you'll notice the cooler filled with complimentary water bottles is now a vending machine. The complimentary coffee machine is now a snack machine. Covid: everyone wears a face mask; absolutely no social distancing. Came here for an oil change and have my tires looked at. Two hours passed and the service guy comes to tell me they found a nail in one of my tires. They could fix it easily for $50. Sure. Who knew that would take another hour? I declined other services as we wanted a second opinion and price quotes elsewhere. So I was there THREE hours total. Ugh! It never took two hours for an oil change anywhere else! We ended up taking our Enclave to another repair shop for half the price for the other services needed. Unfortunately, we may never return to Napleton Buick again. read more

I have left a review on Google Review under Chuck Wisniewski. I tried to respond and it fails at, crystallakefeedback@napleton.autos. I have copies of messages from their sales manager that Agreed to replacing the New Damaged Canyon Denali at an in crease of $39.00 a month. Erick responded with Chuck, I will have to locate one and try to get it here as soon as I can. I will keep you posted. WELL, He took back that agreement. He said it's in Danny Randolph's hands! After 4 emails to him and no conclusion I am writing this to let people know that Even in Writing They Will Back Out Of A Deal and leave you hanging for 44 days and a second payment due in approx 12 days. I've NEVER LEFT A BAD REVIEW OR EVER DID Except One 3 years ago to a company that went out of their way to help me with a problem and I never purchased Anything from them. He was a Great Guy, so this should tell you to the extreme they're trying to push a damaged truck that they say GMC is responsible. read more

Worst dealership I have ever worked with. Completely dishonest and refused to correct their mistake. Purchased a vehicle and ONE day later see this vehicle on their FB page for thousands less. I bring a copy to the dealership expecting them to make this right and they refused...saying it was a mistake. THEY POSTED IT WITH THE PRICE! Avoid at all costs. Plenty of better dealerships with better customer service. As an honest person I am appalled at the operation of this dealership. read more

Beware this dealer...went in to turn in a leased vehicle (not leased from them), wanted to get an appraisal before handing it over. dealer took my keys...checked out the car...porter comes back with my plates and finance manager came back with a lease end paper with him signing as the Lessee AND dealer without having my wife or myself look the info over to make sure it's correct or getting our approval of the turn in of the vehicle. They will forge your signature and not give you the option to even make a decision! read more

I bought my diesel Volkswagen here recently. Finance was able to get me a better rate than my own credit union! The sales managers were super kind & put together a deal I couldn't refuse. The vehicle has ran great & I have had no issues. read more

I sent a request for information on a vehicle through GMC's website. Misty called me and I was told the vehicle was available and she asked me if wanted to make an appointment to see it. I made the appointment. I drive out for an hour with my wife and kids. I get there and I tell them which vehicle I wanted to see. The salesman had no idea what I was talking about. He goes and talks to his manager. He comes back 5 minutes later and tells me the vehicle is in transit and it won't be there until the end of July. Needless to say I was furious. Then he tells me the attorney general doesn't allow bait and switch tactics. I'm thinking that's exactly what you just did. We left immediately. Why make an appointment to see a car at f you know it's not there? I even received a text confirming my appointment. I'll never give my business to this place. Go somewhere else. read more

After calling to confirm the listed price I drove out to see a used 2007 Subaru that had an advertised fair advertised price. Hour trip for us. The dealership sales team played and archaic cat and mouse game and refused to honor the advertised price. Insisting the car was 3,000 over the advertised price. This is a THIRTEEN year old car!! Dishonest and disappointing. read more

They waited until we were ready to drive off lot and then informed us there was only one key fob. told us there was nothing they could do because they were already selling the car at a "loss". BS look other places and avoid Nick and sales manager Christian. read more

Made a 12:00 appointment online and wait in person. It was confirmed. When I showed up I was told that the service department has a "Meeting" and my service would not start for 45min to a Hr. When I had my new GMC terrain in for an oil change the mechanic noticed there was a bushing missing from the bracket that held my radiator on. He must've done a very thorough inspection I can't imagine how he found it. They repaired it Quickly and kept me informed the whole time. The team has always been friendly, keeping me informed and doing the work in a timely manner. Highly recommend Napleton GMC in Crystal Lake. read more

I called on a car I saw online and my husband and I drove 2 hours to go look at it. We get there and they wouldn't even budge in the price, so the next morning I called and they never returned my call, so I called again and they told me the car was sold. So this week I had my girlfriend call and surprise the car is still there. Don't trust these liars. read more

The service department rips people off. Had to get my transmission on a Yukon 2017 with only 75K miles replacedand they refused to acknowledge the MSRP pricing for parts from the GMC website parts.gmc.com... padded their profit by an extra $1K and change in parts pricing. other local GMC shops were lower... but who is going to tow again to another GMC dealer to not get screwed...and incur more charges for towing The kicker is that they ran a complete diagnostic and could not even air up a low tire as well as the sensor showed. Some attention to detail there folks. Their service department are liars. read more

We purchased our Buick Envision from a Lincoln dealer And we purchased an additional warranty to cover dents, road side assistance and replacement key fobs. It came time to use our insurance for a lost key fob and were told to contact the insurance company directly for a claim number then go to a Buick dealer near us. We went to Napleton Buick And received no assistance. The service desk attendant had no desire to help us out. Very much the "it is not my job" attitude. What they did not realize is that we were looking to purchase a new Lincoln but decided then and there that because of their attitude, this dealership would not get our business. read more

Worst experience I've ever had in 30 years buying or leasing vehicles. salesman was arrogant the finance guy was horrible to us and actually said he couldn't answer our questions and he literally goes "well you didn't buy it from me!!!! Went good at first. Then sales came back with the paperwork and they apparently add a $1,298.00 charge to all cars for a Lux care protection program.... Beware! They seem to do this to advertise cars lower priced to drive traffic into the dealership. This is an 8 year old car with nearly 100k miles!!! It added more than the tax did, nearly 10% of the advertised price!!! Very scammy and the sort of practice that makes car dealers look bad. read more

I bought a new car from them this past March 2021. I purchased the prepaid service plan don't know why but I did. I took in my car for its first maintenance yesterday during my wait they came and told me that my car was unsafe to drive because of a crack on one of the tires. They said it would cost me $1600 to replace the tire and the rim. I was angry to say the least and tell them that this was a new car and I was not going to pay a time. I took my car to two other places after I left the dealership and they both told me that their claim of my car being unsafe was bullshit. To say the least I was more incensed for they tried to scam me out of my hard earned dollars. These people have no shame they're crooks and liars! read more

Unfortunately wasn't able to make a deal, numbers are numbers. But the absolute worst part about it all was the amount of cigarette smoke that was in their building. I leased a new Buick Encore in 2019 from Courtesy Buick in Crystal Lake and the deal was sealed with 4 free oil changes. I received the first, but when I went back for the second I discovered they had been bought out by Napleton who flatly refused to honor the deal made by the business they bought out. I am now in the market for a new Buick for my wife and will later need to renew my lease. Napleton will never get my business! I was a repeat customer with Courtesy due to nearness to my home and all Napleton had to do was honor the deal they inherited and they would have gotten my future business hands down! read more
