I used to be a regular. My dog loves to play with other dogs she is the friendliest dog ever. However. Upon walking into the gate yesterday two dogs ran her down and attacked and bit her. They do this to other dogs every day. We go there every morning. The vet bill was over 1000.00. The owner did take care of the bill. And he is a very nice person. But says his dogs are herding and this is what they do. This is unacceptable when a growling dog runs down my dog immediately after walking in and bites and attacks her. I am no longer comfortable taking her to the dog park. It's a shame because she loves to play with the dogs. We went to baker park instead just to walk on leash. Same man and same dogs doing same thing. Not acceptable. So my dog misses out now because owners don't have control of their dogs. read more

I hesitate to publish this because I don't want too many others to know of our wonderful find. This place is spacious, very new, young trees, could use a few more obstacles in small dog section: bushes, seating. The large dog area in the back is beautifuly tree shaded. The crowd here is what we really enjoy. Very different from the one in Veteran's Park up north, Though we live in the north, we prefer this site. People seem friendlier, classier, but not stuck up. There are two parks, the smaller for dogs under 30 pounds. They are adjoined and can be accessed by a shared fenced in entrance in the middle. There are picnic tables there as well, separated by fences. The park itself is kind of hidden from Goodlette, just turn at the light on Central, follow the road around and you will spot it. Come and enjoy, oh, you can bring your dogs too! :) read more

We were on holiday with our little dog and wanted to take him to a dog park. Boy were we glad we went to Naples Dog Park. Very well kept park, with lots of shade and seating areas. They have lots of watering spots for your dog, and in the small dog park, they actually have a ramp so that the little dogs can get to the water easier. The people there were very nice and all welcomed us to the park. Otis made some great friends while on vacation!! Tip: Just before you walk into the small dog park (to the right side of the entrance) you will see a fire hydrant. Take a closer look at it. Someone painted cats on it. Suggest go at an odd hour if you REALLY want to get your pups exercise in. Local Dog owners who come here are highly irresponsible pet owners. Multiple dogs have come up and tried to attack and bite my golden and owners just stood around not even looking our direction or even attempt to de-escalate a potential dog fight. My dog is a service animal and was "sitting in place" when this occurred. Locals seem to suggest I shouldnt have been there if my dog "couldnt handle it". Apparently this is a common thing. I travel to Naples for work and all of my local coworkers highly DO NOT recommend this dog park for this exact reason. read more

We travel a lot, and we like to take our 3 shih zus to exercise in local dog parks when we get a chance. We visited this fairly new park in Naples, FL recently. All our dogs are current with their vaccinations. We entered the small dog area, and had sat for about 20 minutes, when another dog approached our 3, and there was some growling. An older man declaring he was a "park ambassador", scurried up and started shouting we had not 'pre-registered'. We apologized, and immediately started to leash our dogs to leave. He practically chased us out the gate, hurling insults about our appearance, his pre-conceived notion of our economic status, declaring it was "his" park because he had donated some pittance toward its' construction. If you have a notion of visiting this park, make sure you comply 100% with the rules posted on the 12 foot sign. We were quite appalled that a municipal entity such as Naples would allow someone with his demeanor be allowed to represent their community. read more

Central Bark (not sure if that is an official name or a nickname) They will LOVE you for it!! Terrific Naples Dog Park. Large open play areas, lots of good shade, water FOUNTAINS just for the dogs. Our favorite part so far is the no sand aspect. I really appreciate Veterans Dog Park but the sand pits are tricky. Here they use a recycled bark ground cover ( no idea the technical term) and even when wet it is no big deal. However when my dog is at his furriest it sticks to him like Velcro. Benches scattered throughout, gorgeous Banyan trees, big trash bins for the pooh. Dogs and their people are the usual mix of friendly and sometimes not :) ...but we always leave happy we stopped by. Nicely planned park with a high chain link fence at the periphery, edged with bushes on the outside. Dog dish sized basins are attached to the watering pipe, and are raised from the ground for good drainage and for a more ergonomic slurp. Yay! They added two six foot trees in the middle of the ball field size dog run. This will be better and better for real shade as the trees mature. Boo! Whatever was used to make the chunks of "bark" throughout the bare areas are repulsive to our dog. He heads for the scant yet buggy grass instead. read more

We love going to this dog park! We take our dog there almost every day and he gets so excited as soon as we get close. It's very large with plenty of room for him to run around and play. The people have always been very friendly and there's a good mix of breeds. The best part is that people actually pick up after their dogs! It's mostly mulch but the dogs don't seem to mind. The park seems to be well maintained and every so often there are a bunch of fresh tennis balls to play with. read more

The park is great. Clean and spacious. The only thing I don't like and reason I didn't give it give stars is the need for additional parking and the lack of garbage cans to dump your poop. Being that the big dog area is so large, it can be quite the trek from one side of the area to the garbage can to dump your dogs poop. This place is so clean and nice. They use the stuff that you use in your landscaping as the ground and not just dirt and sand. it makes it so much cleaner. There is also nice benches that are shaded for the fur baby parents. When we went everyone including the people and dogs were nice. they have two park that are for the big and small and lots of running spaces for the dogs and nice bowls of water in perfect locations. read more

One of the cleanest dog parks I have ever been to, and I have visited dozens all over the country. There is a concrete pedestal out front with hoses you can use to bathe your pup. Mostly wood chips inside and after a hard rain there are some large mud puddles. If you have a puppy, bring it in early in the morning before work...the evening can be a bit more tricky with stir crazy dogs. There is a small dog and a large dog area. Puppies should start on the small dog side until socialized. Dogs who have not received full immunization or are not spayed or neutered are not recommended at the Naples Dog Park as dogs may agress and injure your pet. Be sure to leave no less then 10 mins before dark because the Beuffus Cane Toads come into the park from the drainage ditch in front, and can cost you a VERY expensive vet bill at best, or the death of your beloved friend at worst. read more

Appearance wise.. Very decent dog park.. Water bowl, benches, shade,green grass and wood chips all fenced in and divided into two sections for big and small dogs... Only downfall is the crowd.. People bring their dogs ad just let them go wild.. Most are untrained and some are aggressive to smaller dogs or puppies.. First time taking our small puppy there and she was attacked by a bigger aggressive dog and the owner who was one of the "dog park regulars" did nothing to stop their dog and proceeded to act like it was our fault because our dog isn't "tough enough to play" ..we wont be taking her back to this very public park. read more

I had discovered this place about a six months ago and was shocked to see its enormous size for both large and small dogs. Everyone does a great job of picking up after their dogs, and their is always tennis balls to throw for dogs that are into it. They have dedicated drinking fountains for dogs which is an advantage over Rover Run in North Naples which has buckets on the ground filled with water. The downside to this park is the mulch; because my Aussie for the last two visit has damaged his pads on his paws because he loves to run and chase the ball. Overall its well worth the visit and after your dog is finished playing and getting dirty their is a rinse off spot right outside the fenced area to get cleaned up. read more

Dog owners beware!!! If you have a large sweet dog, don't take it to Central dog park! If your dog is an aggressive bully, this park is for you. In the last month I have seen 4 dog fights/attacks, a dog bit my standard poodle last week, and today a pit bull and a large boxer attacked my dog! Luckily I had my chuck it, because I had to protect my dog from the boxer who was attacking my dog. And the most astounding thing of all of this is the owners of these 2 dogs just stood there as I'm on my knees trying to get the boxer off my dog. I believe this was a mother and daughter team that owned these 2 dogs and I also believe they have taught their dogs to be aggressive even if it's by not disciplining their dogs. I also believe they are idiots with low IQ's who are irresponsible dog owners. Police were called, but they can't do anything. The smug little twit with the grey blue nose pit bull out and out lied to the officer, denying that her dog was attacking my dog. Beware! And if you do go, take a chuck it with you in case you have to protect your dog!! Date of incident 01/07/2017. The officer indicated that he too has dogs, but doesn't take them to dog parks for exactly this reason. read more

We went for the first time today with our rescue and she had a great time! The grounds are super clean (I only saw one poop pile) and the people there with their dogs are pleasant. The dogs themselves are very well-behaved. Our girl loved the grove of trees at the back of the run, until my husband and I started climbing them. Then she got a little bit concerned! Beware the toads that hang out under the wooden ramp where water is located, a biologist there today said they are poisonous to dogs. Very beautiful park! Although some, not all dogs are very aggressive. I used to take my 2 year old dog at the time to this park almost everyday. The people were very kind and welcoming. Until a few new faces showed up with very aggressive dogs. My pup is about 35-40 pounds so I would take her to the larger dog side where after a while she was constantly attacked. So I decided to play things safe and keep her at the small side where I was shamed for having such a "large" dog over there. I was cussed out by a woman with a dog less than 3 pounds smaller than your hand. Because she was scared my dog was going to step on it. Granted I saw her concern and kept my dog at a fair distance from hers. Though she was not happy with this. What the lady could not understand was that any dog over 10 pounds could have injured her dog that was way too small to be at the park. Over all this is a beautiful park, you just need to make sure the dogs are not aggressive. read more

I bring my puppy (10 month old shepherd) to the park almost every day if I can! She makes many friends and can meet new people - great for socialization! Most owners are very careful about watching their own dogs and picking up after them as well as still being friendly towards you and your dog. HOWEVER....BE CAREFUL about the very few dogs and dog owners who should not be there. For example yesterday there were 2 ladies with 2 pit bull mixes (I have nothing against put bulls but I know how they are if they are on the aggressive size). One dog was black and had a limp (you could tell it got into a few fights as it had lots of scars on it) the other was a golden color. These dogs decided to chase my puppy (who was scared to death of them) and while she was trying to run away from them they both ganged up on her and started trying to take her down by biting at her neck. The owners did nothing, but attempt to call the dogs over to them and then tried to say "oh, they aren't aggressive, they are just playing" - well when a dog is growling, chasing, and trying to take down another dog...to me that's aggressive! I had to take my dog and leave because they would not leave. I think they need to have someone whether its a volunteer or a worker to walk around every hour or so during the "busy" times to make sure there are no aggressive dogs in the park. read more

I have come to this park several times with my corgi puppy. It has always been clean. They have doggie bags for everyone's convenience. There are also water fountains designed for dogs, so there is fresh water. They have two sections, one for bigger dogs, and one for smaller dogs. I would definitely recommend this park! read more

I went to the dog park for the first time yesterday,and wad disapointed. I guess I'm spoiled. The park looks more like its set up for human comfort than for dogs. Theres hardlu any shade for the dogs. Although it is well groomed I prefer the Vetrans dog park. It has a lot of shade for my dog to lay with other if she wants,and has a lot of balls for her to play with.She gets more play time cause she has a place to cool down,and a water hose to cool here off. My second choice would be the doggy beach in Bonita.Lets face it. It is hot out there,and the cooler your dog is the more fun they can have. I TAKE MY DOG FOR THEIR ENJOYMENT NOT MINE. read more
