Brought a friend who was visiting from out of town to the Naples botanical garden, and it was one of the highlights of his visit. It never fails to delight. The grounds are so diverse and so well taken care of. You can download a map that will help direct you as you make your way around the gardens. There is a huge parking lot and many scooters for those who need them. The gift shop has a lot of unique and fairly priced items. This is one of the best places in the city of Naples to spend a couple hours out in nature. read more

It would have been good if the tickets were much cheaper. $27 for this was way overpriced, in my opinion, and I live in Miami where everything is overpriced. I felt it was more of a walk around in nature, and yes there were flowers and ponds and some little statues and such, but it honestly could have been a free botanical garden or up to $15. 05 March 2026 Beautiful day for a walk in the park. We went to the Botanical Gardens, Naples, Florida. This place is beautiful and serene. Naturally I took lots of photos & videos. The photos & videos speak for themselves. Bring sunscreen, a hat, and water or candy to keep your mouth moist. There are miles of trails here but not enough signage along the way to keep me from getting lost , as is my habit. There are a couple of waterfalls and colorful flowers planted along the path of some of the trails. There are Some Tiki Huts to sit & rest awhile. Also many benches along the trail to take a breather if so desired. So, come , relax and enjoy God's Green acre. read more

A Gorgeous Peaceful Garden We are fairly new to southwest Florida and we're trying get out and see more of what's here. As luck would have it, we heard about this Botanical Garden and how they have days when entry is free, for two people, if you have a library card. My wife has a card and we went for a visit. The garden itself is set off in a somewhat rural part of Naples, but just minutes from busy Naples. Plenty of free parking and easy drop off/pick up of those with mobility issues. We were pleasantly surprised to see that they rented powered scooters for $14 and it made for a much better visit for my wife. Most of the paths are concrete or paved, a few with sand or gravel. It was an extremely hot day on our visit, but the tall trees, arbors and buildings provided shade and places to sit and relax. There are so many flowers and plants to see. There's a babbling brook, a lake, a lily pond, a cactus garden, a lotus center, so much. There are names tags by almost every plant. The magic of cell phones and Google Lens provides quick access to information on any plant. We were looking for ideas for our own garden and we got all we needed here. It's not a huge garden, but very relaxing to walk around, take endless pictures and grab a snack at the Cafe. We will go back again I'm sure. read more

It was one big, beautiful, botanical garden. It was worth the experience. I enjoyed the place and smells. It was funny that it didn't look so big at first but it was. Plan on being here for at least an hour. I have some suggestions for the visitors. First, bring mosquito spray. Second, a big hat. Third, bring comfortable shoes and a water bottle. If you want to walk around the lake or see the bird tower, you will need it. The garden was nice. When you first walk in, it's like Wow. Once inside, the garden was divided into different sections like the Florida garden, the Asian garden, the Brazilian garden, etc. It was a nice area with benches, shade, and water fountains. It also had a nature walk around the lake. This was the mosquito feeding area. I found that if you walk fast enough, they can't get you very much. This area has no shade and no place to sit. I liked the walk. They also had a guided cart tour that sounded interesting. I like photography. I found many beautiful spots to take pictures. The lighting was great. We went here on our visit to Naples. The place is incredibly peaceful and beautiful. We saw a variety of plants. There are many pagodas that you can sit and relax. My favorite part was a swing overlooking a lake. My son and I were able to spend some lovely moments there. The reason for deducting a star is that the ticket prices are very steep and may be prohibitive to many families. However I would still recommend this as a must do on your visit to Naples. read more

This is a really beautifully designed botanical garden! From the architecture and the layout to the types of and species of plants, it was just a really lovely experience. I highly recommend this experience if you're in Naples! I really loved all of the different types of environments through the botanical garden, especially the humongous lily pads, and the amazing orchid garden. If I were a local here, I would definitely buy a membership and go, they seem to have different types of activities and talks as well so there's always something to do. Also, there's a really cute café, I didn't get to check it out, but it looked like a nice place to visit. Bank of America card-holders are granted free admission to select museums the first full weekend of every month. While not a museum -- duh! -- the Naples Botanical Garden participates in the program. Included in the price you pay (or don't pay!) is a docent-led tour. Be sure to sign up, as groups can't exceed thirty or so participants. This is a beautiful garden, with trees, plants and flowers from around the world. I'm assuming there is strict governmental procedure for importing anything non-indigenous. Some paths are paved. Some a bit pebbly. There are shaded areas where one can sit, but plan to dress for the weather. Ours was an impromptu visit, and boy, was I hot! Special exhibits; currently musical swings. A lovely gift shop. A cafe. Free parking. Even designated times for your pup to join you. read more

Absolutely stunning place to visit while in Naples. My boyfriend took me on a little weekend getaway to Naples and we spent an entire day here walking around in nature and spending some quality time together. We went on a Saturday, and it wasn't overly crowded surprisingly for being the weekend. There is SO much to see - we spent about 5-6 hours walking around and we still didn't see every area. The areas we did see were stunning, though. I was expecting to see some beautiful flowers and unique plants, but what we also experienced (which was probably the highlight of the day) was SO much wildlife. I took pictures of about 5-6 different variations of butterflies throughout the gardens, we came across a HUGE iguana on the walking trail towards the bird tower viewpoint, I mean this iguana was the size of a small dog (we didn't get too close, but we did capture some pretty awesome video of this dude). We saw several woodpeckers chipping away at the trees, several bright green lizards sunbathing on the trunks of the trees - my boyfriend really wanted to see an alligator, but that was the one thing we didn't spot on our visit lol If you are a service member or a veteran, they have military discount if you purchase your tickets at the windows on-site. They also have a kid's pamphlet to help keep the kiddos engaged throughout the visit at the gardens, I thought that was such a fun little detail. The gift shop is really nice - there are some beautiful souvenirs to remember the trip. There is also a little cafe inside of the botanical gardens where you can grab some light bites and a drink. I definitely recommend visiting the Naples Botanical Garden - we plan to go back just because we enjoyed our time here so much. read more

This place was absolutely beautiful but you must go early because it closes at 2:00. There are a bunch of different areas this different plants like cactuses, bananas, pineapples, it was really cool and absolutely beautiful. I didn't see any alligator sadly but I did see some really beautiful birds. I could have posted so much more pictures but this wouldn't allow me to I had no more room. I highly recommend this place. It's a must go if you're in the Naples area. There's a little restaurant inside and they serve alcohol in there. You can go at your own pay so you can go faster you can stop and take pictures and people were friendly and took pictures of each other. It's about 45 minutes from the fort Myers airport. read more

The garden is absolutely breathtaking! Lots of different areas to walk and relax. Little trails and a pond to walk around. They have a little restaurant on site that has lots of quick bites to eat but it is very small and gets very smashy. They also have a little shop and you can buy plants too! I was so excited to see their post on Facebook about dogs being allowed on Tuesday and Sunday mornings from 9-11. Saturday night I look on their website and find no information at all about dog days so I go back to look at their Facebook post and clearly states it. We drove an hour to be turned away at the ticket booth. The old lady told me it's on their website and I wasn't the only one turned away today as if they statement was to make me feel better (thank you to the gentleman who ran after me to tell me he'd bring my dog in for me. I hope you had a wonderful time there). I sat in my car and cried because I was so excited but then let down. I checked the website again while sitting in car and definitely DID NOT find anything about the dog days or one dog per person. Went here for my wife's birthday. Plants are very well cared for by the ground crew. Park has multiple waterfalls, great ideas for your home gardens or yard. Lilly pad tanks where you can touch them. A huge gift shop that sells live plants. On this trip we picked up an orchid and pot my wife liked. FYI if you go and buy one the decorative pot is not included. Tons of butterflies throughout park. We are regulars at the Botanical Gardens back in the Chicago North Shore (just a few min from our house). They do a lightscape for the holidays every year, which is always a fun family event. The night I had tickets it was going to be 0 degrees, which is way too cold for my Florida blood. I quickly sold them to a family that must not mind the cold as much and bought tickets to the holiday light show at the Naples Botanical Gardens instead since we'd be in town the week of Christmas. Holiday lights in 80 degrees...yes, please! It wasn't quite as holidayish as back at home, but it was such a beautiful and relaxing stroll thru the tropical garden. It took about 40 minutes for us to admire the beautiful lights and flowers. I also loved the live music, which would be a nice tough in Chicago. They offer food and drinks along the way. We helped ourselves to cold drinks (instead of hot chocolate that we get back at home), but ate at a nearby sushi restaurant instead after. It was a fun and beautiful family activity during our time in Naples! Other friends visiting had trouble getting tickets so recommend getting them as early as possible. read more

Naples Botanical Garden was founded in 1993 by local plant lovers. Harvey Kapnick, Jr. donated $5 million for the purchase of 170 acres 3 miles from downtown Naples. In 2006, the team of Ellin Goetz, Ted Flato, Raymond Jungles, Herb Schaal, Bob Truskowski and Made Wijaya, completed the master plan for the garden designed to showcase the culture and flora of the tropics. The first phase of construction began in 2008. In 2009 the garden opened with the Smith Children's Garden, Kapnick Brazilian Garden, Kapnick Caribbean Garden, and the Smith River of Grass. In January 2010, The Florida Gulf Coast University Harvey Kapnick Research and Education Center opened. In 2010 the Garden opened the Scott Florida Garden, Buehler Enabling Garden, Garden Club of Naples Idea Garden, Lea Asian Garden, and the Water Garden. In October of 2014 the master plan was completed with the opening the Chabraja Visitor Center, Kathryn's Garden, Irma's Garden, LaGrippe Orchid Garden, Kapnick Hall, Berger Shop in the Garden and the Fogg Café. In 2016 the Scott Florida Garden was redesigned. I came to the gardens with family for the Bank of America Museums on Us event. On the first weekend of the month certain cultural institutions are free with a Bank of America Card. The $25 admission fee was waved by showing a Bank of America card. They offer a $14 scooter rental or a free wheelchair for visitors who need mobility assistance. We ended up borrowing their wheelchair which worked perfectly on their ADA accessible paved paths. We started out with a wonderful lunch in the Fogg cafe. Afterwards we took a leisurely stroll around the gardens. Highlights included the beautiful water features, artwork, colorful blooms in the LaGrippe Orchid Garden, statues and plants in the Lea Asian Garden, the many varities of plumeria, and the water lilies in the Kapnick Brazilian Garden. There was a delight around every corner. In the back of the gardens is a South Wetlands Preserve with boardwalks and hiking trails. Since this area was not as wheelchair accessible we passed by it on this visit. As you exit the gardens you can browse the carefully curated garden gift shop which sells plants, jewelry, clothing, accessories, stationary, and other gift items. One important thing to remember when visiting is to apply bug spray before entering Naples Botanical Garden. There are many water features and a large lake and they do not use pesticides. Many times during our visit we found ourselves covered with tiny mosquitoes. I had previously visited the garden for the Night Lights in the Garden holiday event where the garden is beautifully illuminated and you can enjoy live performances and special holiday drinks. This was my first time visiting the garden by day and it was enchanting. The garden recently held a Frido Kahlo event where they recreated her personal garden. Upcoming is a Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) Celebration on the first weekend of November which is also a Museums on Us weekend. The garden will have special displays, tours, arts and crafts stations, music, dance performances, and Mexican dishes. I love how the garden combines plants and culture. There is always something new to explore and enjoy in this Naples treasure. read more

We took my 3 disabled grandkids with entire family and everything was great until older gentlemen at hot dog stand at first said out of hot dogs then went back up 3 times after others getting hot dogs he said he didn't feel like making that many hot dogs so obviously we were targeted as we were ordering more than just one or 2 hotdogs All 3 of our grandkids are autistic and ended up having meltdowns It's hard enough raising disabled kids who have autism and seizures but to seriously have to deal with someone so rude makes things worse I'm hoping you can have a chat or something to this individual as he ended up ruining my grandsons 12th birthday as he and his siblings meltdowns took quite awhile to calm them down Kids are afraid now they think the zoo has mean people and I don't want them to feel this way and not sure how to go there again without being afraid of rude workers The older man was just real rude I understand people have bad days but his mood affected my kids and I'm trying to deal with it as best I can We were trying to order 12 hotdogs for our family if it's not allowed then perhaps put a sign up so this doesn't happen again please Making others mindful of kids with autism would be great as well read more

The Naples Botanical Garden is a beautiful oasis in southwest Florida. While it is a smaller garden, it is in it's infancy being open only 15 years, but it works in it's favor as the facilities are refreshingly modern and welcoming compared to older gardens. I visited in February when temperatures were perfect in the 60s and virtually zero humidity, which I think really added to my overall enjoyment as Florida temperatures can be brutal for outdoor activities many months out of the year. There are quite a few unique gardens to explore, and also a one mile trail around a lake should you wish to venture farther and get in your steps. They offer complimentary 45-minute tours on the hour, which is absolutely genius as most gardens do not offer tours, and just hand you a map and let you explore on your own. I took the introductory tour, which was very comprehensive tour offering a great level of detail about the trees and plants, without ever getting boring. The tour covers a good percentage of the gardens, starting at the Brazilian garden and ending lakefront near the Florida garden, primarily leaving you the succulent/desert garden, Asian garden, and orchid garden to explore on your own. The are quite a few children's activities to keep them engaged, with the musical swings in the Caribbean garden being quite the hit, with each swing triggering notes from a different classical music instrument. I absolutely loved the landscaping, as a lot of thought and planning went into creating a beautiful oasis for guests. Don't miss the orchid garden before you leave as it's nestled between the cafe and gift shop before you exit, and this garden had some really colorful orchids. Overall, Naples Botanical Gardens is a place I'd love to return and would wholeheartedly recommend to others. read more

Naples Botanical Gardens is one of my favorite things I have done while visiting the area. I have seen many beautiful gardens and this one in Naples is on my top 5. The actual gardens aren't huge, hard to conquer. You can stroll around for a few hours leisurely. The highlight for me is their orichd collection which is impressive but they also have a lot of beautiful plants and tress from all over South America (Brazil, Mexico, etc) and Asia. I loved their Asian gardens with their pagoda and cambodian looking statues. The place is lively, colorful, but not crowded. There are many places to sit, take a rest, enjoy a snack and a nice view. The lily ponds are numerous and beautiful, great colors and shapes. Nice tiled walls here and there, with nice mosaic work and vivid colors. The gardens are opened daily from 9 am to 5 pm. $25 admission, a tad high, $10 for kids. If you do banking with B of A, free first weekend! Plenty of parking, water fountains everywhere, clean restrooms, a beautiful gift shop. Wear comfy shoes and off you go! This isn't a touristy place, it's a beautiful sight to see while in the area, laid back, relaxing, a real zen garden. There's lush vegetation around, lots of new exotic plants to discover and learn around. For me, this visit was a real joy and a nice surprise! read more

Great garden. Summer is the season to go when everything would be in bloom, but we went in winter and there was still plenty to see. Different themed gardens and lakes sprawl over the 170 acres of land incorporated into the Naples Botanical Gardens. Tours are brief (30-45 minutes and run every hour), very informative guides share information on different themes for each tour. If you are interest in a self-guided tour. They have a phenomenal tool called "Garden Chat" allowing you to text a botanical expert regarding various questions you have as you walk through the park (HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING: there is a real representative on the other end of the line who is very knowledgeable) Additionally, they have a cafe and floral gift shop. They also have holiday night lights around the Christmas/NYE season where they light up the gardens, but tickets go pretty quick! read more

I'll consider it a donation on top of the admission, but how that tour came to existence is baffling from a place that seems to think through other experiences a whole lot better. read more

And just take a minute to separate yourself from other people following the main trails so you can just have some peace and quiet to listen to the gardens.... I mean really listen.
