Let me just say, I was very skeptical of the whole acupuncture phenomenon. But Faune made me a believer!!! She was so gentle and kind. Soft spoken and quick to address the needs of each customer! Yes this is in a group setting. Yes you DO keep your clothes on. Yes all the needles are brand new out of packaging. Not reused. The room is nice and dark. Soft music plays so you can relax. And the price is right! Very affordable! My experience was great. I came in with chronic neck and back pain. But it seemed that immediately after the needles went in I started to feel better. I wanted 30 mins, and afterwards I felt like I could twerk my way home. I was a new person. Faune did mention to get lasting results, repetition is required. It should tell you something that there is not one negative review. I have been going to Faune for over 4 years, whether it is for chronic pain, or just a quick visit to de-stress. Faune is such a delight! She really listens to your problems and asks plenty of questions that might catch you off guard; while symptoms may be seemingly unrelated, she has a keen way of reading what your body is screaming, and connecting what you interpret to what your body needs. The best part is her sliding scale payment. It's based on what you can afford, starting at $25/session after your first visit. It really is worth a try, even if you are a cynic to Eastern Medicine and don't understand the mechanism behind acupuncture like I once was. The only negative thing I can think of is the wait time. She treats up to 12 patients at a time. And even though she is quick to assess and treat her patients, be prepared to wait when it is full. Love this place. Faune is great. I had back spasms that was going into my leg. I went to the Dr and he told me to take Aleve and it we would eventually go away. Well I don't know if you've ever had back spasms but it hurts like crazy. I came to see Faune and she got rid of my pain in 1 session. Another time I saw her because of a bad neck pain. I was struck with Bells Palsy on July 5, 2012. I had done some research and found out that acupuncture could help me get better, and found out this to be true. But then I was hit yet again later on the next year. This time it was a little different and I saw many different doctors for treatment through out the Bay area, Solano County, all the way up to Davis. Some of the people that I had seen were okay, but their personality was not real genuine (horrible bedside manner). I've been struggling with insomnia this last week so severely I've missed work. Today I looked up my closest well reviewed practitioner, and Fawne was it. The receptionist was kind and professional. I was led back into a group setting. I was seated into a comfey zero gravity chair and waited for my turn. She was kind and listened to any concerns and led the way into suggestions of what to treat. I had mentally resigned to the fact that I would be having a medically induced labor induction in 72 hours, but I thought I would give acupuncture a shot. She was totally real with a great sense of humor, and made me feel at ease. She did an acupuncture protocol and also recommended some homeopathic remedies that I purchased directly from the practice - so convenient! I am a breast cancer survivor. And from breast cancer I was left with lymphedema and that is inflammation and it's in my right arm. Well long story short. My son was home visiting and he saw my arm and said mom you should try acupuncture and I said I never thought about it so I called my doctors to make sure it was ok and my doctors was all for it. So he searched different places and found this place in Napa. He scheduled my first appointment at Napa Acupuncture with Faune Towery. By the third week I was so comfortable with Faune and Andrea (Andrea is the receptionist). The office is so tranquil and peaceful. I couldn't wait for the next week. Faune said that she had other patients with lymphedema but each one of our cases were different and with my lymphedema being so severe she went above and beyond to read extra materials or take classes to help me. So we both were so excited when I came in to see her because she had new information for me and I was excited to try it. This place has been a God send for me. I am permanently disabled with vertigo for the last year and a half now. Before finding this place I would spend months on the couch immobile and not living life at all. I've been to 4 different docs who could not treat my ailment. Acupuncture in general: I've been treated with acupuncture for 14 years spanning student clinics in L.A., to professors in the bay, and different methodologies. If you're having chronic pain, or have a malady that doesn't seem to improve with western medicine it's worth a try. Here's my story: I had back problems after a terrible car accident as an adolescent that still didn't resolve fully into my 20s. I'd done the course of physical therapy, and chiropractic for years. It was incredibly frustrating! With patience and persistent treatment I've fully recovered with a blend of chiro, PT and acupuncture. As in, I can do kickboxing. Or sleep on a crappy futon. Everyday regular life things without thinking twice. With Acupuncture, your whole body is treated, instead of just treating symptoms. I had different chronic issues resolve - such as my seemingly quarterly sinus infections and now it's incredibly rare. The clinic: I really enjoy the clinic setting, where you're encouraged to nap and relax. It seems a little strange at first, since in a doctors office it seems so stuffy and you need to spout out your issue, get a treatment methodology and head on your way; but not with Faune. You have a discussion on your malady, have a placement of needles, close your eyes and rest. It's a great time for reflection and more of a spa atmosphere. Faune: To start, Faune is an absolutely charming, warm, intelligent person and she's spirited to talk to in general. When you start to discuss your health issue, she absolutely lights up with different ways to treat you. You can absolutely tell she's thrilled to care for you, and intellectually loves to solve the puzzle. For example, I broke my jaw as an adolescent (I know, terribly accident prone aka life stories are awesome) and have experienced horrific migraines, facial numbness, throbbing/shooting pains for the majority of my adult life and it was becoming more acute in the past few years to the point of tears. The physicians I was working with had sent me to physical therapy 3x and wanted to send me off with pain meds. I don't believe in putting a "band-aid" on the issue, rather treating the whole issue. I pushed the issue, saw new specialists, and with a blend of splint therapy, a maxillofacial specialist in sacramento and Faune I'm really seeing an improvement! The migraines are GONE.
