I got about 2 cups of fried rice, a cup of veggies, and maybe 4oz each of chicken shrimp and beef. All was seasoned well and had the hibachi flavor you look for. They came with the tables, chairs, trash receptacles and there was even music. It's a family affair as his family members helped the chef out. They set up and clean up (the tent was ours). A reasonable price for the food per person considering they come to you. Everyone that lives in Mississippi was well aware of this chef and his food (my mother and siblings live in Florida and went to Mississippi for the bday celebration). He is opening a restaurant soon so you have 2 options for his tasty food!

I mentioned it to the owner who, for lack of a better term was extremely rude. I tried to even give her some advice with ozone machines, having her ac's inspected and she just because even more irate. I have owned 100+ year old houses before and kind of knew what I was talking about. We were at a wedding. I had looked at her venue a few years ago but decided against this location just for this reason. But before I mentioned this she did yell at me she was working on it. This is when I brought up this was the reason a few years ago we had decided against the venue. I can not believe this is safe for people to spend the night at this location.

I am not particularly a fan of how far it is from home. It does serve as an adequate backdrop for events. The curb appeal is evident although the event space is much more updated (which is a benefit IMO). I have never stayed the night here nor do I see that happening in my future. My last event there I did hand the bartender a $20 but received change for a $10 and she was adamant that I had only given her a $10 though my 2 $20s were now down to one. I didn't want to ruin the ball for everyone around so I decided to not make a scene. But that really left a bad taste in my mouth. I have attended the Sunday Brunch. The price was steep considering the mimosas were around $9 each. Seriously, I am in the middle of nowhere- I would expect a much more affordable drink when the brunch is already over $30. The brunch was fine though. I will not be attending brunch again.

Michael, who's family owns and operates this fine little Hotel & Bistro, seated us and took our drink orders. My wife and I were both enthralled with the unique art on the walls and Michael took us on a personal tour of the local and regional art that hangs in the building. Very impressive and tasteful. Classically hip. We learned of the history of the eclectic building, as well as the deep connection to his family's history. What a pleasant person and what an inspiring story. We even got peeks of two of the six suites. Sadly there were none available for that weekend. We returned to our table to find our Fried Green Tomatoes with crab meat Napoleon waiting. My MS Wife and I had gone all over Downtown two days before in search of Green Fried's and were surprised that even the comfort food spots in Gulfport did not have them. These were good, green, crisp and plentiful with a nice sauce and crab. Our grilled Trout Almanett arrived and we were very happy. Perfectly grilled, with well seasoned veggies and tiny, butterflied sautéed shrimp in a lemon herb sauce. Being from Louisiana, we were surprised that they got the spice right. I would eat this again and again. The Lunch portion was adequate and we did eat it again when we got home. (Actually my daughter stole it and gave me a few bites!) We also took some Cheesecake home as well. Very thick, dense, creamy with a crumbly, tasty crust. Excellence. Eat it 'naked' with no sauces needed. Each bite was two bites. Our server, Ashley, was cute, smart and attentive. She was professional, yet warm, and seemed happy to be there and aiming to please. Very refreshing. She even offered ice so our food would fresh to Louisiana. Pricing is exactly where you would want it for this quality of food and service. Don't tell Michael but they could increase that fish a little if they so desired. They were also running an AYCE Fried, Grilled or WhoDat shrimp Lunch special for some unreasonably low price. Their Lunch specials are very popular with the Professionals in Downtown. Maybe next time;.....I might break them eating Grilled Shrimp! All of this personal attention and service was provided without them even knowing it was our Anniversary. Oh, and ask about the Live Jazz night, I think on second Fridays...Thanks guys, for an awesome experience and meal.

Some spoons for the coffee table in the room and the breakfast area as well. It's the little things what tell us paying more is worth it. I say is more a bed and breakfast than a boutique hotel. . Went for my first trip to Radish today, & I have to say it has lived up to the hype & expectations…read more We were the first table to arrive & got the pick of the place. It is so well done for a smaller dining room, from the tiling on the bar, the beautiful collection of cutting boards on the wall, the lovely artsy painted radish & the jars of house made pickled vegetables lining the front windows. Our server, Lisa was extremely welcoming, as she was quite joyously making table arrangements of lovely flowers when we arrived. We perused the menu & I chose the lavender haze mocktail for a drink & the crab beignets for an appetizer. Both were equally beautiful and delicious. My mocktail was well balanced and would have made a delicious cocktail had I been in the mood. For lunch I decided on the beet and burrata salad and my sweetie had the catfish sandwich. My beet & burrata salad really hit the spot after the rich yet delicate crab beignets. The catfish sandwich was extremely tasty with the perfectly balanced house made pickles and "Caesar" dressing as the sauce. Their fries were perfectly fried as well. I made a stop in the restroom and adored the radish wallpaper & pictures, and I commented that the bathroom smelled like fresh baked brioche -- which Lisa said it was the bakery next door, Dolce' (which is owned by the chef's wife). She talked up the king cakes so much I had to go get one before our lunch even arrived (since there were very few "extra" king cakes left I am so glad I did!) All in all it was everything I hoped for and I wanted to try SO many things on the menu. I can't wait to go back. A new Mississippi favorite for sure.
