I first got to know of Naomi's café when doing a summer courses in the Tipperary Institute. There was always a mad scramble at break to get the best of home baking from Naomi. Her generosity knows no bounds. This summer while doing course and savouring every morsel of her bakewells, brownies, coffee/chocolate cakes, sandwiches I was determined to find out more about this very accomplished, generous young lady. I discovered her cafe at The West Gate which was buzzing with casual diners, afternoon tea lovers, Take Outs and "Take Aways". I just love THE FRESHNESS OF HER PRODUCE AND WHOLESOMENESS of all her food. She rears her own hens and has a garden of veg. and herbs which are immersed in her cooking. Restaurant/cafe owners like her should be given the highest of accolades as I can only imagine the long hours, the hard work and the stress that go into keeping such a fine foodie enterprise at the standard she has it. read more
