The food. The staff. The food.
Okay, we stumbled upon this quaint little restaurant near our hotel one evening. We saw Paris' first snow of the season as we planned a day to spend at Champs-Elysees and to see the Arc de Triomphe. As it began to snow heavily we got cold and decided to call it an early evening and headed back to the hotel to rest and warm up but we were also hungry so we walked down Rue des Abbesses to find something to eat. Now we love Parisian food. The breads, butters, all of that. However, we are Filipinos and we still miss eating rice so we opted for Asian cuisine and that is how we found this gem of a restaurant. The food was amazingly delicious! From their salad dressing to the perfectly seasoned miso soup. Then came our entrees...the sushi was so fresh that every bite was sweet and refreshing. The Yakitori is beyond delicious. Mouthwatering even as the more you eat, the more you want it. Their pork cutlets were thinly sliced and very lightly breaded. One of the best ones I've ever eaten. The place was so good we came back the next day to have a late lunch and ordered the same things we ate the night before! With the addition of their tempura mix since the night before they ran out. The place is small and not packed with a lot of people which is why I called it a hidden gem in the first place. I'm not gatekeeping this folks, highly recommended if you're ever in the Montmartre area in Paris. You won't be disappointed! read more
