This is a fun and casual sushi restaurant in the Pigalle district of Paris. As Americans who like sushi, the types of food on the menu are quite familiar: yakitori, maki, sushi, seaweed salad, and noodles. The quality of the food was very high (the noodles seemed homemade) and the prices were extremely reasonable. The female owner/server was delightful and wonderful with my daughter, who speaks good French for being 11, and with my husband and me, who do not. The reason for the 1-star deduction is that the owner's husband (and I assume one of the chefs) was the person who greeted us at the door. We had trouble navigating the menu and he was frustrated with us and rather curt, especially with my daughter. He kept pointing to the menu and talking louder. At one point he walked away, although it was not clear that we'd ordered anything or everything. I think that perhaps his French is limited and so is my daughter's, which I recognize made it hard for everyone. A better solution for him would have been to tell us that his wife would be there soon to take our order. When his wife came in about 15 minutes later, he told her to come to our table and start over. She did, and all went well from there. However, had it not been for the very good reviews of the restaurant online, we might have left. I am glad we stayed, and we will likely go back...but I want future diners to know that if there is a man greeting you at the door, you might be better off waiting for the female owner, who is incredibly lovely and helpful. read more
