Had to send my food back twice as both times the food had come out cold. First time the chips were cold and then the chicken was. On the third time of it being sent out bare in mind I had been waiting ridiculously long for my meal the was a hair on my plate. Personally I think it's ridiculous, there standard of food at the moment is awful. They seriously need to reconsider their staff as I think one is young and very inexperienced. read more

Either their hot is getting hotter or my ability to cope with the spice levels has fallen (catastrophe!). I drank gallons of water and was sloshing as I left! The food was good, the service decent but the location is completely charmless, a business park with a cinema, a nighclub and a couple of alternative places to eat. read more

Nando's hasn't been around for long on the Barbican. It's fresh faced and new to any other resturant I have visited in Plymouth. It has a relaxed atmosphere with great staff and a lively manager.The food takes roughly 10 minutes to get to the table and doesn't disappoint. If spice is what you like, they have Peri- peri sauce which you can choose from mild/medium/hot/extra hot (if you're daring enough!) Or for those of you more demure, you can pick a sauce such as Mango and Lime which is just as lovely. They also cater for the veggies amongst us and their 'Veggie burger in pitta' is divine, as is the meat (which is of high quality). And perhaps most importantly to students such as myself, it is very affordably priced. read more

Nandos is fairly new to plymouth, and one that I felt I had to try out! It is situated on the barbican lesiure complex so perfect just before or after a film to go and have a nice meal. I have to say it's all about chicken! Which is ok, but I do like a bit of variation, so you really need to decide that is definitely what you want before you go! The prices are ok, and what I like about it is that you can mix and match different things such as salad, chips, etc and also veetables. I think this should be adapted to other places as well! read more

Often referred to as the posh KFC this is always worth popping in to visit of you're waiting for the cinema film to begin. The food is served quickly and is to a good standard for this type of establishment. They have free re-fillable drinks with some meals which is good but make sure that this is still the case before you start eating as I haven't been there in a while now. The establishment is clean and being set in the barbican leisure centre it has a lot of other things to do close by like the gym to work off the food, or the bowling alley etc. read more

Not a bad restaurant, very busy and popular place. Was seated quickly and looked after. Food is slightly pricey but its okay and it was nice. Bit cold sitting next to door opening but that was hard luck where i was seated. I would recommend Nandos for a spicy chicken experience. read more

This is a lovely little restaurant located at the Warner Village so an ideal eatery before you go to the cinema or bowling. The restaurant is very modern and clean looking. The staff are very friendly, and they provide colouring books and pencils for the children while they wait. It is not table service here, so you have to choose what you want and go pay at the bar. They also offer a loyalty scheme where if you spend at least £6.80 you spend you get a stamp in a card and for every three stamps you get some free chilcken, from a quarter right up to a whole chicken. The food is fair priced, it is more expensive then KFC but in my opinion is much tastier and more healthy because they grill it. Nandos have a good standing in the community too and invite local schools into there branches to try the food and watch the chefs preparing it. My husband was lucky enough to take his class in and they had a wonderful time. The toilets are clean and tidy too. So overall great, quick service, reasonable prices and great tasting food makes eating here a really nice experience. read more

We go to this restaurant regularly without great expectations. It's fast easy food with a hefty price tag but if your after a reasonably healthy pre/post cinema meal then it's not a bad shout. You never have to wait long to be seated and the food is consistently good. My only criticism is that the restaurant can be cold, this could be solved by adding a second door and also by actually switching on the heater that blows air over the door. read more

Really simple good food! Although it's pretty much all chicken with a variety of sides! Not badly priced and a good atmosphere.

I don't see the hype about this restaurant. We were given kiddie size portions, and out of the ten people I was with, 7 of the orders were wrong and instead of apologising or replacing the meal, the staff got angry and just moved around our plates to whatever they thought was he nearest to the right orders which they weren't. The half chicken was just a very small chicken wing and drum stick and didn't taste of much. The chips were soggy and I think I only got a few of them! It also took two and a half hours to get a table in the first place. All in all a waste of money and not a place to go for a treat.more if you just get bored of the taste of KFC. read more
