    Garlic Bread

Tonight was my first experience with Nando's and I really loved that. I ordered classic plate from the sharing platter menu that came with the whole chicken, garlic bread and you can choose two large sides with that. I chose fries and corn. There are some different sauces on a big table in center of the restaurant that you can choose. I loved the interior design as well that you feel, you have a trip to Africa If you don't have any experience about Nando's so try it asap. There are lots of free parkings in front of restaurant.

I always passed by Nando's locations around BC but never had a chance to try them. I was in the Langley area around lunchtime and this time i decided to take the plunge and try it out. The dine in area is well decorated with mexican(?) style artifacts/antiques on shelves and it's clean. The washrooms were aesthetically pleasing and clean. Surprisingly when my friend and I arrived around 1pm it wasn't busy at all (maybe one or two tables) and there were plenty of large comfy booths available. I liked the upbeat hispanic music that was playing in the background. I could have danced in the dining area...maybe next time. The staff doesn't smile as much as i expect but they are efficient and courteous enough as any other restaurant. The food here is straight up delicious. The chicken breast and leg lemon and herb flavor was finger licking good! To be more specific, I ordered the peri peri chicken with two sides. The potato wedges side were cooked perfectly. I added a little dash of seasoning and it was perfect. I also ordered the mashed potatoes and they were really good. Well buttered. Be warned though, It's super filling! I think next time i'll order more chicken than sides. I totally recommend getting something with more meat on them. The chicken here are so good i believe you should just go all in and choose dishes with a lot of meat such as their share plates. They offer a lot of meat on those. At the side counter there is a supply of peri peri sauce of different flavours which adds a little kick in flavours to the chicken. You can help yourself with them. I added a dollop of garlic per-peri sauce...SO GOOD. I highly recommend you try them out! One thing to note was I slightly disappointed that they didn't have the coca cola freestyle machine that was mentioned in the menus. i ordered a bottle of root beer instead. Overall, If I'm craving for chicken in the Langley area, I will be back to this Nando's for sure. Recommended!

We ordered fries chicken and garlic bread.

We came here as a family, we enjoyed the food. We asked for lemon herbed chicken but was given plain chicken when delivered to my table. The cashier didn't let us know that it wasn't an option. They only have one type of mild sauce out to use and ketchup. Wouldn't be coming back here.

The fufu with peanut soup was a vegetarian dish and besides having a nice aroma, the taste was just as top tier. The pounded yam with egusi was my favorite as you really can't beat how fresh and delicious this was. The pieces of goat and beef along with chilis, onions, peppers and I believe the other bits were either squash or pumpkin was amazing. The jollef rice could have been a little less wet, but I'm not an expert in this field. I still enjoy it, but slightly drier would have been my preference. The honey jerk chicken was juicy and tender. It was full of flavor and the sweetness balanced the savory well. Everything was made fresh and even though it was for a take out order, everyone loved it.

We ordered the egusi and spinach stew and it came with a big portion of fufu as well. All of their stews also come with goat meat and beef, which was really nice. This was our first time trying fufu and we were given a bowl of warm water to wash our hands and no utensils. My friend and I got to learn how to eat fufu and we really enjoyed it! The soup was very flavorful and spicy and paired well with the fufu. It was very filling so we had leftovers (I think this meal can be shared between 3-4 people)! I am definitely going to try their other soups.

We were a big group of 12 including infant and toddler and they managed everything beautifully. Another big group of 10+ came in when we were leaving around 9+ pm. The place was not huge but they can do big groups. Reservations recommended. This was my second time trying East African/Indian food. I still didn't know much about it. R and I shared a choma (grilled) platter which had 3 types of meat, choice of carbs and raw vegs. The server recommended Chicken Serena which was grilled chicken with some sauce and herbs. This was my favorite dish. The chicken was tender and flavorful. The other two meats were the beef ribs (pretty good) and Mishkaki (skewer beef - a bit dry and hard). I love the masala potatoes which was the best thing on the platter. The raw vegs looked like coleslaw without any sauce. It was just a dab of sauce on the side. Not enough for the shredded vegs. I also had the masala chai which was very weak and very bland. Skip this tea. R tried the on tap beer - Baadshah Pilsner - a south Asian craft beer produced by Magic Malt Brewing in Langley. Interesting. Good to try for $5. There was also live music. It can get quite loud when they were singing. Nice patio out front and parking on street and in their lot.

The space is unassuming and there is a small patio that would be nice to sit at in the summer. The cuisine is not like anything I've had before and it fuses different flavours like masal and jerk spices. They have a five course tasting menu with a vegetarian version to come back in 2025. The menu changes every six weeks. The five courses are artfully presented. On their own, each dish doesn't seem like a massive portion. But by the end of the five courses, really by the end of the fourth course, I was stuffed. All the items were interesting and different, but the flavours worked. They were not things I would have conventionally thought to put together oe methods I would have thought of e.g. salt baked pineapple, but somehow it all ended up very tasty. Standouts for me were the coconut encrusted plantain, the granite palate cleanser, and the chicken liver pate with bannock. The cocktail list is likewise unique. It is tea inspired and organized by elements. The bartender came and explained all the drinks for us. There is an excellent cocktail flight which you can pair with your dinner and I would recommend that to try the most drinks. The presentation on the drinks was also well done, and the cocktails were all very well balanced. Nothing was too spicy or too sweet. The flavours were very harmonious. Service is really great. Everyone is so nice. It was my birthday and they def went the extra mile. All the dishes are explained. The bartender, who is really a mixologist more than a bartender, came to the table to explain each cocktail. If you are a wine person, they also do wine pairings. All the wineries are from BC, and the majority are boutique vineyards. Highly recommend. I'm not a fan of all the restaurants Michelin picks, but this one is definitely deserving.

Have you ever had Ethiopian food before?…read more Nope, neither have I. I was hanging out with a friend from across town & I wanted to try dinner at another restaurant further up on Commercial Dr. So we decided on drinks here first at Harambe Ethiopian Restaurant, while we waited for our standby reservation to come through at the other restaurant. My friend had been here before & highly recommended we come back again to eat. I got to try Ethiopian Honey Wine for the first time. It was refreshingly delicious. Sat at the bar & chilled. Saw various dishes coming out of the kitchen & the look & smell were causing my stomach to growl. Got to meet the owner Daniel - a very nice gentleman. He has been running this restaurant now for over 25 years. He expressed that times are hard, as noted by all the restaurant closures all over Metro Vancouver. But he's hanging in there so if you want to try Ethiopian food - consider Harembe & support local. Look out for more food pictures sometime in the later part Spring when I return.

I got the chef's choice combination and my friend got the veggie lovers combination. The food arrived relatively promptly and it was presented as a nice spread. Eating with our hands was a neat experience to enjoy the food the traditional way. The server told me to mix all the ingredients together but I wanted to taste each item first. Perhaps mixing it all would have been better as there were a couple items I found their taste to be a bit strong on their own. Personally I also found it on the oily side. The injera was great at soaking it all up but I was unable to finish the injera that was served at the bottom of all the ingredients at the end, with all the oil that was there. Overall it was a great experience and if I were to return, I would skip the combo and order a dish I liked.
