Known for kebabs, shawarmas, and burgers, Yum Yum also does deep fried mars bars, which I noticed when I first went up the steps of the Close with their outdoor sign. Being that Edinburgh is one of the few areas that have spots that make these, I was happy to see Yum Yum did it. I'm basing my review off of my order experience. It was made quickly. Payment was fast. And the mars bars was decent. If I was drunk, I would probably be foodgasming more. But I will say, it was very good and pleased I was able to experience while I was in town.

Both were nice but the mixed meat was better. The sauces were really good too and I wish they had feta, but.... I think it's what I'm used to. Really great and fast snack and so happy we stopped here.

As McDonalds is surely aimed at Kids?.. No? It's all business now... You can see it in the staffs faces as they slowly "zombie walk" around wether it be sweeping the overly salted cold chips from the floor. Or sympathetically handing a ball of breath to some poor child that's trying to figure out what the happy meal toy actually does?. The image of the restaurant.. If you'd call it that definitely has changed over the years.

That makes me chuckle. After never having a kebab we went here one Saturday night because it always smells so good when you walk past. We both had the special which was about £8 each. Quite expensive! But it turned out to be on of those silver dishes with pita bread filled with every type of meat imaginable. Chicken, lamb, beef and that weird stuff they shave. I'm not sure what meat that is? With lashings of sauce and salad, it was a huge meal. Neither of us finished it but it was pretty damn good. The meat was tasty and tender, not the chewy, tasteless crap I was expecting. The menu also offers pizzas and chips too, and it seems quite popular as there was a constant stream of people going in and out while we waited. I would think the true test of a kebab is if it is edible when sober. Therefore, this place passes with flying colours.

I have never actually been there in person so can give no details on what the restaurant is actually like inside, but the food tastes great, and that's the most important thing. Me and a vegetarian friend found that there were plenty of options on their menu to be tempted by and I eventually opted for chicken chow mein and found that the dish was great and had lots of flavour to it. What's more is that it came with lots of vegetables, which made me feel justified in eating it all. The delivery time was quite long, taking about 40 minutes but the price was reasonable and would definitely order again from here.

AVOID. Absolutely shambolic from start to finish…read more Ordered at 7:31pm via Uber Eats. Food arrived just after 10:30pm. Nearly three hours for a takeaway. Tried calling at 10pm -- automated message saying they're not taking calls. Repeated attempts later, I finally got through. Was actually questioned on how we'd "waited three hours" when the app said it had been out for delivery for 90 minutes. Because the clock starts when you order -- not when you pretend it's been dispatched. Driver then called asking me to come to the car park to collect it. After a three-hour wait? Absolutely not. When it finally arrived, we were told they'd taken 40 delivery orders at the same time. That might look good on paper, but all it means is 40 angry customers. If you can't handle the volume, stop accepting orders. Basic business. Then the real disaster began. * Two items missing. * Entire order wrong. * Vegetarian dish came with chicken. * Lamb dish was chicken. * Wrong naan. So not just slow -- completely incompetent. Called again. Told it was "impossible" because they photograph every order. Apparently I've got nothing better to do than invent missing food after waiting three hours? Promised call backs that never came. Hung up on. Told refunds "aren't possible" from their end (not true -- they just don't want to take the hit). Then had the audacity to say if we still wanted food we'd have to order and pay again. £56 spent. Nearly three and a half hours wasted. Wrong food. Missing items. Rude staff. Zero accountability. I've worked as a chef for 21 years. Busy services happen. Delays happen. Mistakes happen. What doesn't have to happen is arrogance, overbooking orders you can't fulfil, and treating customers like they're the problem. This wasn't just poor -- it was dysfunctional. Order here if you enjoy gambling with your money, your time, and whether you'll actually eat that night. Never Again!!!
