Taste of Summer and Xyomie, their sales manager, on the other hand, were helpful and excited to work with us right from the beginning. First, Xyomie helped us find a menu that fit the budget and feel of our wedding. We chose a grilling menu that included chicken, steak, and shrimp as well as a few sides and appetizers. Xyomie promptly answered every email from me over about six months, including one the week before the wedding asking to add more to the menu. She also explained with a lot of detail how the day would go and gave us all the info we needed to be ready for the event. Our wedding was on the Cape so the company had to travel for the event and they were prompt and ready to work upon their arrival. The food was delicious and we have gotten so many compliments from our guests. One friend told us that we won the prize for best food out of all the college weddings. A chef grilled right at the buffet table so all of the meat was served right after cooking. The caterers even packed up leftovers for us that we're still eating three days later. When I walked up to the buffet, the lead caterer introduced himself and it turned out to be Dave himself, the owner of the company. We were so grateful to have the owner overseeing our event. The staff was also great with clean up and kept the food and alcohol - related parts of the event running smoothly and on time. Our only recommendation would be to get actual silverware if you are serving the steak. We used disposables and it was a little hard to cut the steak with the plastic knives, but that's not the fault of the caterers. You will absolutely be happy with the service, prices, and food from Taste of Summer!

The side dishes were also so delicious. I had potato salad, a regular salad and corn bread. Our venue had tricky logistics and they handled them with ease. The night of went flawlessly and people have been raving about the food at our wedding all week. From the apps, the tuna tartare in the cones, the lobster salad on potato chips, the truffle arancini and the grilled cheese and tomato soup were the biggest hits. People also loved the fish and steak served for dinner, and I personally loved the butternut squash ravioli. They really didn't miss, and they were worth every penny. Would absolutely recommend. Unlike most urban industrial parks, like the Cummings Center properties, Blackburn Industrial Park is almost completely barren of food places, and most of their businesses are spread out. So, this was the place to be if you wanted a home-made meal for lunch or a sandwich. I believe they serve breakfast now too. I always found the food delicious. I especially liked the special of the day. I had a co-worker, however, that found something to gripe about every day! She even would correspond with the owner via email to discuss what was wrong. I guess that's a sign of good customer service though if the owner is willing to take the time daily to talk with you via email! You've probably guessed a major drawback with Classic Cooks because of location: long lines. If you went around noon, you would be in line for at least 20 minutes. I always tried to go around 11:40. Another thing that always irked me was that sometimes you would get there and the food wouldn't be ready and you'd have to wait. If a place opens at 11:30 then I think their special of the day should be good to go. I rarely got anything from the regular menu, however, when I did, I always called it in in advance. One time, they were out of the special so we quickly ordered sandwiches and it took almost 20 minutes. Yikes! Another quirk- if you ordered in advance, you still couldn't go to the front of the line which was very annoying on days when the line was out the door. All in all though, the staff was always friendly and the food was really good. I don't think I got more than 2 items ever that I didn't like. Line would be ridiculous though on a daily basis if you didn't get there early enough. The prices for the menu items were high, but that's what you get when it's the only restaurant around. The specials were always great and had a decent price. If you work in the area, it's a good spot to try for lunch. And I'd love to hear how breakfast is- I always wanted to try it but never got around to it.

Ann was easy to work with, delivered on everything she promised. The food was hot & delicious in a plentiful buffet for our over 100 guests. She was like an old friend by the time I met her the night of the function as we'd been talking via phone the weeks leading up to the event. It was affordable too. Her website shows the variety of menu options and there is something for everyone & every budget. At the end of the meal, she packaged it all up in the kitchen of the hall and we were able to share the leftovers with guests at the end of the night. My guests all commented on how good the food was. Many guests said they were the best tips they've ever had. They had packed up all the leftover food and brought it into my kitchen after asking where I wanted it. I will be definitely be using them again. My only regret was not having leftovers! They made my wedding day smooth and perfect, covering the bar, serving tables, setup and cleanup. They even dealt with last minute adjustments to a constantly changing guest list and a sudden awareness to a gluten allergy the night before the wedding. They came highly recommended by Peirce Farm and it was clear as to why. I would work with them a million times over.
