Dr. Wang appears to be a short tempered doctor by our experience. She clearly has quite some room to improve in the years to come.

Thanks to his quick action, skill, and dedication, my hearing has gone from 0% to about 70% in just three weeks -- and I'm well on my way to a full recovery. For patients that get this suddenly, 90% of the time there is no known cause and recovery is 50-50. Some may not recover but in order to give yourself the best shot aggressive steroid treatment started within the first 2 weeks is critical. Dr. Van Tassel was all over this and tried everything for me- more than willing to go the extra mile for his patients. Dr. Van Tassel is not only an outstanding ENT specialist, but also a deeply compassionate human being. He genuinely cares about his patients and takes the time to listen, explain, and ensure you feel comfortable and understood. His passion for helping people is evident in every interaction -- nothing ever felt rushed, and he treated me with the utmost kindness and respect. I highly recommend Dr. Van Tassel for any ENT needs- he is truly a rare top shelf Doctor.

For instance, last night I only slept 3.5 hours. I am not tired throughout the day but may get sleepy around bedtime. Maybe this is normal for me. My watch complains about my poor sleep quality. When I arrived the P.A. was extremely excited for me to visit and repeated this many times. She was oh so very very happy and excited for me to visit them and assured me multiple times that they would help me and extend my life. She was oh so very very happy I came to them and expressed how wonderful it was I was there. They would take care of me and help with my sleep issues. I opted for the home sleep study and they found mild sleep apnea. I selected the machine rather than oral insert or surgery. Nothing was found about my lack of sleep. That night I got to sleep at my usual time, 10pm and woke at 3am. I was so upset I texted the PA and noted that I need to go to another clinic to deal with this. She texted that she would escalate. Weeks later I had not heard anything about the machine but got a voicemail from someone named Steve. I returned his call and left a message with him. A woman called me back and seemed extremely agitated that I had called. Sometimes I don't read people correctly but she did seem upset and kept asking if I wanted to leave a message. I thought I had already done so but chose to do so again. I told Steve that I appreciated his call but I need help with why I cant sleep anymore and feel that I need to go to another clinic to deal with this. No one has called me back about the machine and I wanted to pursue it. This was a couple months ago. No one ever called about the machine. Steve never called me back. It is like I don't exist. I have been ignored.

There was not much he can do to diagnose my throat discomport. I'm very dissapointed with him. He charged me almost $900 in about 20 minutes. Not going back to this doctor.

I've only seen Dr. Yun twice but both my visits and email correspondence were positive. I came to…read morehim in February for the first of several ear infection in a three month period. I agree with the other positive reviews about his bedside manner and proactive-ness. He said the ENTs at PAMF should have given me a reason for wanting to remove my ear tubes in 3 instead of 2 years (despite a perforation that required at tympanoplasty 2 years after my first set of tubes) other than "that's what we always tell people". Even better, he said I can leave the tubes in for as long as I want if they are not causing problems. I love a doctor who has the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" attitude as I don't want to undergo unnecessary surgeries/procedures. Given that both he had Dr. Janas have treated multiple ear infections during the few months I saw them and the CT I had earlier this month showed mastoid fluid in both ears, it's possible I may need them removed in the future and he agreed that they would need to come out if infections persist. It's hard to find a doctor - especially an ENT - who both doesn't push unnecessary procedures/surgeries and isn't afraid to consider that route if the problem persists. Finally, I love that he gave honest recommendations for ENTs in/near Walnut Creek when I gave him some names of ENTs in network with my secondary insurance that MM doesn't accept (and I'm losing the primary they accept next week due to a new job). I told him what I want in a new ENT and appreciated that he didn't hesitate to steer me away from doctors who either had poor reviews or were sub specialists for issues that I don't need treatment. Several of the ENTs who have thrown their hands up over the years were sub-specialists (the 2 main offenders were a laryngologist and facial plastics) so Dr. Yun definitely understood why I wanted a general ENT. Some of the past recommendations I've received over the years - including an ENT I know personally who didn't even treat me as a pt - were biased and didn't take into consideration the qualities I want in a doc. Hopefully his recommendations will prove true when the time comes!

Chronic, recurring upper and lower respiratory infections with symptoms that lasted for weeks, if…read morenot months, coupled with round-after-round of antibiotics prescribed by my primary care physician. That was the story of my life for years. Then, I was finally referred to Dr. Kamboj in February of 2016 and since then my conditions have improved exponentially. From the moment Dr. Kamboj accepted me as a new patient he and his staff (who are AWESOME btw) have taken an extremely caring, professional, and educated approach to diagnosing and treating my conditions. Dr. Kamboj exhibits a nonstop medical prowess that flows into every conversation I have with him. He did not stop at his initial diagnosis of my condition (which by the way was spot on). He continues to go above and beyond leveraging his vast knowledge and experience with research, trials, and evidence-based medical treatment. He ordered additional tests, scans, and sent me to an Ear, Nose, and Throat specialist. Dr. Kamboj was and continues to be very involved in my related care outside of his care for me speaking with and reviewing the other doctor's medical notes etc. He made sure the other doctors' office received and reviewed his notes and test results (good communication makes for great results). Dr. Kamboj continually convinces me that he will take all the necessary steps to provide me with a multiple-approach care program that gets results. In addition to all of the above here are a couple more reasons I think you'll be encouraged to become one of Dr. Kanboj's patients. - When I have an appointment with him he puts his laptop and paperwork aside and actually talks to me. He speaks to me face to face and engages me with focus. The only time he looks away to his laptop or test results is when we are looking at them together and he is showing me something. He makes me feel as if I'm his only patient. That to me is a sign of a good doctor. - When I visit Dr. Kamboj's office to see his staff (who are AWESOME btw) for my allergy injections he makes a point to try and come over to chat with me. He likes to check in and see how I'm doing. He practically has memorized my medical chart and the details of our last conversation (his memory is greater than or equal to an Elephants when it comes to this). That to me is a sign of a good doctor. In closing, I have a tremendous respect and admiration for Dr. Kamboj. I have to admit when I first schlepped myself into his office I had no optimism what-so-ever towards getting better and Dr. Kamboj sensed this right away. However, Dr. Kamboj sincerely explained to me that my health and well-being were very very important to him (and he proves it time and time again) but in order to have a therapeutic relationship he needed for me to think the same way. Never before in my life have I had a medical doctor start off caring for me in that way. I agreed with Dr. Kamboj on that first visit and committed to being a good patient. The results and rewards have been numerous. Should all doctors be this way! Sincerely, A very healthy and satisfied patient.
