When you have the front desk being unprofessional and discourteous to parents, this impacts your access to the Doctor, quality care etc. Sadly, I would not recommend this practice. Great Doctors, but if you can not access them due to the horrible, unqualified staff that try and make decisions that should be left up to the Doctors. We want to entrust the utmost level of quality and care for our precious children, if you want that, look elsewhere!

We've been coming to this practice since our daughter was born in 2015. It's obvious they care…read moreabout the children they see. Making appointments is easy, whether routine or sick visits. The nursing staff is extremely warm and welcoming when we come in and is happy to give advice over the phone. We've even found ourselves needing after hours assistance a few times and their nursing staff who monitors the phone has always gone above and beyond to make sure my child is healthy and safe; not to mention very reassuring to stressed parents in stressful situations at all hours of the night. It never feels like an inconvenience when we call. The doctors on staff are equally well trained and knowledgeable. When going through our visits they make a point to speak to my child and get her input directly in how she is feeling and make sure to never push her if she is feeling anxious about certain parts of the visit (I.e. checking ears if not truly necessary). They also keep the parents in mind, making sure we understand the full scope of whatever we're dealing with and preparing us with all the necessary resources to give our child adequate care. I really cannot recommend this practice enough. From primary care to sick visits, we've never had a bad experience.

What makes CHOP Kids First stand apart is that when any issues that arise Dr Ingersoll is on the phone talking to me , explaining everything. She gives you thorough information so that you can make an informed decision. When my youngest child was born Dr Ingersoll visited my baby in the hospital. There is just not enough I could say about them! I've tried others (because I moved into Montgomery county and wanted to try something closer to home), but I ended up right back. I have since relocated to Arizona and my girls fly home to visit for their primary care physician, Dr Ingersoll that's how much I believe in them!

From basic treatments and checkups to their 24/hour on call services, we've been extremely satisfied in every way. First on Dr. Beth and Jessel. They are both extraordinary and I'm never concerned getting scheduled with either one. They are knowledgable, caring, sensitive and sweet with our kids and bring that same level of care when you have to call them at 3 am with a screaming baby. I get the sense Jessel may be more experienced, but it honestly hasn't mattered who we see. But I suppose for a really serious matter that's who I'd want to talk to. The staff at the office is also great. I've gotten great over the phone help from nurses and even the crew behind the desk is very nice. And overall the office is cheery and nicely decorated. Finally, when my wife gave birth to our second, we never got to St. Peter's hospital where they have rounds and instead had to go to RWJ in Somerville. Even though they couldn't go into the hospital to see us, we got fabulous support from Dr. Jessel when the baby was having some difficulties. She was available on the phone, super supportive and provided our baby wonderful care. Can you tell we love them? My wife and I say that nearly every time we leave.

Dr. Jessel now has her own practice in a beautiful new office in Bridgewater (by the Bridgewater Mall). Her calm demeanor, professionalism and knowledge of pediatric medicine are excellent. She has worked with us very closely through medical issues with our second child and gives us the comfort of knowing we are getting the best care possible for our children. She is extremely responsive and always makes us feel like our concerns are important. We recommend her highly to anyone looking for a pediatrician as an expecting parent, parents who are new to the area or are looking for a new doctor for their children. Finally, I love the patient portal which allows me to see my children's upcoming appointments, check in for an appointment, see their medical history, request a refill and send questions directly to Dr. Jessel. She has been the pediatrician for my daughters from newborn to teenager. She is just wonderful with them and I couldn't be happier with the care they have received. Dr. Smith is also very kind and caring and good at making my little one feel safe and comfortable. Unfortunately, he is a little too much of a growth chart stickler and made me panic unnecessarily. He also misdiagnosed a common condition which didn't respond to the treatment recommended. Dr. A is my daughter's regular doctor and she has been much much more conservative with the growth charts, balances seeing the child as a person more than a data point, and also correctly diagnosed her issue. So while both doctors are good, I like Dr. A better so far, and Dr. Smith I'm not so sure yet. Maybe he was just having an off day. Overall this is a great practice.
