We were having trouble finding someplace with vegan options near our AirBnB in Mestre so when we located Nami Zhao the vegan in my party said that would be perfect because you can always get things like veggie rolls and edamame.
I ordered a sushi/sashimi dinner (medio) which was the perfect amount for my appetite. The fish was fresh and tender, the rolls were tasty. My companion ordered a plate of edamame, and a veggie roll platter. We washed it all down with sake. The sake was probably Junmai-shu, but it tasted fine and complimented the rest of the meal nicely.
The decor (contemporary) and comfort level were above average and the noise level was quiet even though most of the tables were occupied. We were seated immediately upon arrival and there were enough open tables for all who arrived after we did. The price point was comparable to similar sushi places in the United States. Besides sushi, I believe there were some noodle or ramen type dishes on the menu. The also have a full bar and drink menu.
Overall I thought the meal was good and the service was fine -- not the best sushi I've ever had -- but still good enough that I can recommend it to anyone visiting Mestre if that is what you are hungry for, or if you need pescatarian, vegetarian or vegan food. read more
