So I had the Lamb Saag which is a spicy dish from Punjab made with lamb in a tangy-ish sauce. Fantastic! I could have used more heat but I just added some hot pepper. Along with that, I had an onion Kulcha, which is a bread with delicious onions and so soft! This was great for dunking up the delicious juices too! Very nice staff, super clean restaurant! Came in for my son's birthday celebration. I always have the Chicken Saagwala since I can ask for it to be made without dairy. I am also a lover of creamy spinach. Everyone else had the Goat Curry, Butter Chicken, Samosas, garlic naan, and more. I love the basmati rice that comes with all of the main entrees. I also love the freshly made naan. The restaurant is beautiful, the decor makes it relaxing (next time I'll take a picture of the decor). The service is great also. They have given me my correct order of non dairy when I order online and the message didn't get through (happened twice). read more

We stopped in Middletown on Thanksgiving Day and were looking for a nice place for dinner. The young lady at our hotel's check-in desk suggested we try Namaste...so we did! It was hands down the best Indian food we have in a very long time. The vegetable samosas were hot and crispy, served with a selection of condiments. The naan was to die for! Piping hot and garlicky. YUM I tried the chicken tikka masala and could not have been happier. It was rich and flavorful, but not heavy. Hubby had the Rogan Josh and the lamb was so tender! The wait staff were friendly and accommodating and even discussed the music videos with us! It was definitely a happy Thanksgiving! There is only one complaint: we live too far away to be regulars. read more

The moment you walk into Namaste you are greeted with a smile. Unlike other Indian restaurants nearby this one is bright and lovely. The decor is simple and classic. We had Prince as our server and he made sure he went above and beyond for us. Their attention to detail in service and food was amazing. I always order the same dish at an Indian restaurant to use as a barometer of the quality and taste. They truly exceeded my expectations. The food was amazing. I had the Chana masala and the rest of the table had the lamb chop and the butter chicken...all three of us were so taken back by the flavors. They had the spicy levels in point and for a person that spicy is not my thing, they really catered to me. At the end of meal we were given carrot pudding which was incredible. Great Indian food right off Route 211 in the Middletown area. I ordered a few dishes to go, and everything was absolutely delicious -- full of rich flavors and perfect spice balance. What a fabulous place to dine especially for authentic Indian food. The staff is incredibly friendly and extremely attentive to every need. The ambiance is inviting and the white tablecloths are a nice touch. The restrooms are always spotless which usually is an indicator of the cleanliness of the kitchen. My girlfriend and I have eaten there half a dozen times and it has never disappointed. It has become one of our go to spots. This was my second visit to Namaste for a takeout order. The young man who took my phone order and greeted me when I came in was very friendly. Like the first time, the lamb korma was so delicious that I ate it all in one day (after meaning to save half). The papadum (which isn't on the menu) was especially tasty! I have yet to eat in the restaurant, but it looks like a pleasant space with aesthetic decor. I'll just have to go back. My only issue is that I like to see more eco-friendly takeout containers, rather than all the plastic. read more

We got take out, so this is purely about the food quality. Seems a bit expensive to start with, so was expecting out of this world quality. Unfortunately for me it was just mediocre. Tried several dishes, and the tandoori chicken wasn't even cooked all the way through, was bloody by the bone. They went light on the spices the tandoori chicken just tasted like grilled chicken with lemon. Was excited for a new local Indian restaurant but was a but disappointed. I'm so happy to have discovered this restaurant. I just moved to the area about five months ago and I'm always on the lookout for a good Indian restaurant. I was very happy with the quality of the food. The entire restaurant is very clean and well kept. Not super fancy, but very nice decor and atmosphere. My family went there to celebrate a birthday, and the atmosphere was completely appropriate for that. The food was very flavorful and you have the option to adjust the spice level when ordering. My family and I were very happy all the way from mango lassis and appetizers to desserts and Indian tea. I have been to their other location in Saugerties where I used to live and they were excellent. But I have to be honest, their middletown location seems even better. read more

Ordered take out online, got a variety of dishes to try- bombay calamari, chicken tikka, chicken jalfrezzi (spicer than Ive had from other restaurants), aloo tikki chatti, plain naan, and the paneer. All was very tasty and good! Will definitely be getting more take out in the future. Saw a lot of good reviews on Google. The inside looked very nice but it is a smaller restaurant. The restaurant is very unassuming from the outside but the interior ambiance is excellent - beautiful tables set for a nicer (but not too fancy) dining experience. I had a vegetarian dish with eggplant and peas, my friend had shrimp curry, and we shared an order of naan. I learned layer that's it's only recently opened and I really hope it makes it.
