Totally picky about my eyebrows due to horrible past experiences. It's a nice small salon with fairly decent prices for LA. The salon itself is located on the main road and parking can be a hassle since they have extremely limited parking in their very own parking lot which is located on 24th street. I have been avoiding to get my eyebrows done since I been in LA for almost 3 months now but finally I had to get them done before I started looking like an ape haha. Thanks to Groupon, I purchased one session of eyebrow threading for $4.20. That is a decent price considering most places in LA charge way more than that. I feel so bad for forgetting the name of the girl who did my eyebrows. She was the only person at work that day (I cannot seem to recall the day) and it wasn't busy at all. So my wait time was no more than 5 mins. Sweet girl, I definitely enjoyed chatting with her. read more

It's important I preface that I've gotten this type of service in the last 17-20 years in other places, therefore, I'm familiar with the type of method technicians use (e.g. directing customer to help with holding down areas that are being worked on). I'm also cognizant of cultural implications that can be present for myself and the technician-- in other words-- I don't think shit personal. This review pertains to services I've received twice by an employee who is a senior. My first time there was a month ago. I went for full face and eyebrows threading, plus under arm wax. The second time (a couple of days ago), I went for full face and brows. Soft wax was used to remove my under arm hair. She applied the wax 4-5 times on the same area, used thread, and then proceeded to use tissue paper to rub off the residue. Needless to say, she burned me and irritated my skin. Regarding the threading, both times, particularly this last time, she had no regard to how rough she grabbed and positioned my hand on my face to help hold. During the face threading, I could hear her threading off some of my long (scalp) hair along the side of my ears. In revealing the outcome, she threaded too high on my side burns. I didn't an issue there to begin with. To add, when working on my upper lip area, she proceeded to thread hairs revealed on entrance of my nose without asking -- this was painful. She made me bleed on the side of my chin and then proceeded to use her nail to scratch the area that bled (reason unknown). She was also too rough on my right eyebrow, made it bleed, and left scratches. To be fair, she did a descent job on my eyebrows. I payed full amount and for whatever reason, tipped her. After my first experience, I decided I wouldn't get waxing services with them. After my second visit, should I decide to go back, I will ask to see another technician. I hope when they read my review, they take this as an opportunity to learn and rectify this. I think this place is decent-- what I didn't enjoy and I'm sure every customer would agree, is the roughness, burns, bleeding, and scratches. read more

Unsanitary practices. The lady that did my eyebrows did not wash her hands or even some hand sanitizer after the last client. She finished and called me over without washing her hands and was touching money right before putting her hands on my face. She then proceeded to pop a pimple I had with those same dirty hands without my permission. She just decided to pop my pimple and now I have a weird bump on my face. I've never had a bump like that even when I do decide to pop my own pimples. I had a great experience with the other younger ladies which is why I came back but I'm never coming back. read more

It's hard to find that perfect eyebrow place but Namaste Brows Studio is definitely mine. + It's very cute and clean inside! The price is extremely reasonable. I had to wait to write this review from how upset I really was with my eyebrow service. I had the elderly women assist me today first time she ever does my eyebrows and I'm going to try to make this short and simple. This comes from a professional who has ran and works in the customer service industry. I went in with full brows. Probably 2 months in grown first exchange of words was PLEASE DO NO SHAPE MY EYEBROWS I JUST WANT THEM CLEANED: Through my service I could feel that she was getting thread happy, just by the pain I felt service finished she gives me the mirror, my worst nightmare my eyebrows look like I'm back in 11th grade thin... she said they looked good like why was I complaining I'm trying to process I said let me pay you and walked out and talked to the owner. I only got an apology from her and to next time come to her or the other girl there. Let just say this to the lady who did my eyebrows and the owner. LISTEN TO WHAT YOURE BEING ASKED TO DO, not what YOU LIKE OR THINK A CLIENT IS GOING TO LIKE OR WHAT YOU THINK IS BEST! I started coming here when I moved to the USC campus. Back in my home county, I went to the best wax/threading place. Coming to LA, I thought it would be super easy to find a comparable spot. Boy was I wrong. Then my friend introduced me to Namaste. Run by two lovely cousins, this place is not only hygienic and extremely reasonably priced, but they do amazing work. They managed to thread my janky eyebrows into a beautiful shape and the Brazilian wax is not only painless, but they use a technique to ensure no double dipping. One of the ladies also has the MOST adorable dog named Coco she'll sometimes bring to visit. It does get busy so if you're in a rush, go on their website and book an appointment to avoid long wait times. I'll always be a loyal customer read more

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. I walked out of this studio with two completely different eyebrows after the woman who did my eyebrows said "you are going to kill me for these." Some of the ladies there might be competent, but the fact that they allow someone to do brows that is incompetent and would say something so inappropriate to a customer is beyond me. read more

Honestly this place is wonderful the area might fool you but the studio is top of the line with experience in the brow industry. I usually get my brows done in Glendale for more money but I just happen to be in the area and can't say enough good things about this shop. They only charged 8$ vs the 15$ I normally pay, makes for an even better tip. read more

Do not recommend this spot. Went once left them good. Went another time they were okay. Went again today and I left with two different eyebrows. No one wants to go to a spot where they are inconsistent, not knowing if they're going to leave your eyebrows good or not. Luckily didn't have to pay but it's disappointing leaving with a bald spot. Very up to standard with other places I've been across the country. My person (sorry I forget her name!) was very nice and thorough. Hello my fellow Yelper's!! Wanted to give you my feedback about this place. I was on Groupon and found this place that does Brazilian waxes..sweet!So I made an appointment to get a Brazilian wax for Friday at 11am. It's unclear of where to park at this place, so I ended up parking next door where there is a corner market. I was greeted immediately when walking in. Now mind you, I got there quite early from my appointment, however, they still took me in(brownie points for being accommodating peeps). I was directed to a room where my waxing would take place. I may be somewhat of a germaphobe, but, I notice the wax machine was uncovered and exposed with the wax stick already in there. Thoughts came in my head like "OMG how long has that been sitting in there?"and "will they use that on me?" I inquired with the worker if they use hardwax instead and they do not :( Needless to say I went thru with the wax fearful of what the aftermath may be. Thank the Lawd , I had no reaction however I probably won't go back. The 3 stars was for the customer service, they need to offer more variations of waxing, and the place needs to be sanitary. read more
