I travel to Antwerp every month for business and this is my go to place for Indian food whenever I'm in Antwerp. It's centrally located on the Square, prime location in Antwerp. They recently revamped the interiors and I really like all the changes. I highly recommend it, my favorite is Jalfrezi with Garlic nan.

Even when I didn't particularly like a dish, I couldn't actually fault how it was made. I have yet to try the buffet because the menu is so affordable and full of interesting delightful dishes! I could not praise the food enough. And the price point is frankly unbeatable. But the service! Today, my party of three went in right around opening time. There were only a few parties. We were told we could sit wherever we wanted. We put in an order. Over an hour later - literally, not exaggerating - still no food. I have seen a table seated after us receive their dishes. A waitress comes over - is she going to apologize? No, she's going to reseat us at a worse table and leave. I don't care about being reseated, but she jetted off before anyone could ask where our food was. Another waitress came back to inform us they could not make half the food we ordered. No alternative was suggested. Just "We're not making that, we're out." They couldn't tell us that right when we ordered? We came just as they opened, how were they out? It took an hour to figure out that they couldn't complete our meal? We substituted two other dishes. Eventually our half order came out and we asked for plates - this has never been a problem in the past. The waitress said "Yes of course!" and then ignored the request entirely. We waited another ten minutes or so before one of our party just went and grabbed what we needed from the buffet area. Our substitute dishes came out almost immediately - making me think our first try ordering wasn't even communicated in the first place. An earlier time we arrived and were asked to wait until a table opened up for us. We waited. And waited. And stood waiting. Staring at the man who told us to wait. He never said anything to us again, another waitress came out confused as to why we were waiting and seated us. There were plenty of empty tables in the back, and we hadn't seen anyone leave. Maybe a half hour after taking our order someone told us part of our order was "too difficult to make." The first time we went, the waitress didn't keep track of our order and didn't know what was on the menu, so at the register we had to take a menu out and read out what we got. Another staff member was just seated staring at her and didn't help. The staff seems to consist of one professional waitress and people who just seem to be helping out. I have no idea what the kitchen is like - it must be chaos if they lose orders for hours at a time. The food really is amazing though. Come, and if they're busy get the buffet. If it's a little dead try out the menu. Don't expect professional service or apologies for anything that goes wrong.
