Delicious pho in a comfortable setting with great service. Hit the spot on a rainy Saturday! Highly recommend the tofu spring rolls and vegetarian pho.

Delicious Vietnamese food cafe right across TAMU campus. The portion sizes are large and everything I ordered was fresh and tasty. The veggie egg rolls were crispy and vermicelli tofu bowl was served with an assortment of bean sprouts, pickled carrots and cucumber. The staff is friendly and plenty of seating available inside. Parking outside the cafe is limited.

Overall a great eating experience. The good was delicious and freshly made. I wish the pho had a slightly deeper flavor and the vermicelli had a stronger flavor profile. Helping seemed nicely portioned for the price. The cashiers, servers of food and person cleaning up the table seemed attentive and friendly. The table had full siracha and hoisin bottles which is really nice. The bathrooms were down a very narrow hallway and small (1 person at a time) Parking lot is small.., about 10 slots so parking behind cars is common. I'd recommend and would return.

We are always looking for good Vietnamese food, so during our visit to College Station we took the advice of fellow Yelpers and gave the Nam Cafe a try. Parking was a challenge since it is limited to a few spots in front of the restaurant. We eventually found street parking a block away. Once we got to the restaurant we noticed that more experienced diners, double parked behind other customers and wrote their contact information on the clipboard on a table by the door. The system seems to work. The restaurant was busy on a Wednesday night, ordering was done at the counter and food delivered to your table by the kitchen staff. Everyone was friendly. We ordered summer rolls and pho. The summer rolls were fresh and the pho was hot and tasty. The restaurant was clean and the decor is pleasant. We would definitely dine here again when we visit College Station.

The spicy pho soup bowl from Nam Cafe. Delicious!

I've been here a couple times now and the bowls seem to be the way to go. They pack so much food in there that you'd better be hungry when you walk in (like I am). I got the pho spicy soup bowl. It was so hot I had to step away and blow my nose in the restroom because it was getting to me. I eat A LOT of spicey foods, so it really surprised me in a good way. I ate the whole thing and it didn't even jack up my stomach. I'd like to try some of their other items that aren't soup but it's just too delicious. I'll be back for sure. I believe the bowl was $15 which is a bit high for lunch so i'll need to hustle and bussle some greens before I make it back over here.

Took my girlfriend to eat here. I am not one to eat Vietnamese food, but it was great. Food was brought out very quickly. A little pricey though.

I love Viet food so I go to Nam Cafe pretty often! I decided to takeout a Tofu Vermicelli bowl & it's full of nutrients and freshness. I wish that there was some sort of sauce to pair with it, as it can be a bit dry! I asked for some Hosin sauce on the side & that helped a bit. It is a bit pricey so keep in mind before you go, this place has great food nonetheless.

A local college favorite! I came here on visiting my sister and this is her go to. We started off with the Fresh Spring Roll, I personally thought they were pretty lackluster, not much flavor even when dipped in the peanut sauce. I also tried the tofu bao and pho bao. The tofu bao didn't have much too it either, although the avocado and tofu textures went well together, there wasn't much flavor either. The pho bao I would get again. The beef was very tender and the crispy bean sprouts and hoisin sauce all balanced out very well. The chicken vermicelli was decent, didn't really stand out to me either. A large portion size though. Decent college restaurant.

The noodle bowl is the best. Tons of flavor and ingredients with the vermicelli noodles are just amazing. The popcorn chicken is delicious, nothing special. The shrimp tempura is delicious and has an amazing crunch. The Xiao Long Bao is more of a soup dumpling dim sum style. It was pretty delicious, but it didn't taste really fresh like you'd get from an actual dim sum restaurant. The staff are friendly and fast. Lots of tables to dine at. We stopped in and were overwhelmed by the menu. There were only 2 others dining but we decided to go ahead and order. The place was clean but there was a major concern: the silverware is placed on the tables in a stainless steel holder and it seemed unsanitary. Also, I hated the napkins. Now the food: the menu is absolutely overwhelming. From soup to baos to plenty of appetizers to bahn mis to pho to beef and chicken dishes, it's a little too much. I will say there might be something for everyone. My mom has the sizzle beef. It was oddly chewy. The bell peppers were great and the rice was perfectly cooked. However, it was served on lettuce and tomato which didn't add to the dish at all. Solid 2.5/5. I got a bulgogi bahn mi and it was tiny but exactly what I would go for at a Vietnamese restaurant. I paid $11.50 for it (added an egg) and that was brutally priced. We got the loaded fries and they were so underwhelming. No flavor at all from the fries and bulgogi...the egg didn't add anything either. I would give it a 1.5/5. There were a ton of people coming in and grabbing to-go orders for delivery services and I believe most of them ordered the pho. I think that's where we messed up. For $51, it was quite a lackluster experience. The customer service was great but I don't think I'll be back.

I've been here in the BCS area for 4yrs now and we don't really have a lot of Vietnamese restaurant selection here unless you venture out to Houston or other major cities. We just noticed this place driving by so we gave it a try. We ordered the Special Pho, Banh Mi w/ Pork, Grilled Chicken Rice Plate, Spicy Beef Noodle (Bún Bò Hué), Singapore Noodles, Shrimp Summer Roll, Cheese Puffs (Rangoon), and Gyoza. Everything tasted ok. The veggies and vermicelli noodles within the shrimp summer roll was falling out every time I was dipping it into the peanut sauce which didn't naturally come with fish sauce. The pho and spicy beef noodle broth wasn't clear like it should and anyone that knows authentic Vietnamese dishes, knows the broth is everything. The broth was still good, but you can taste the big difference and the portions were lacking. I was expecting a traditional combination pho which had tripe and tendon and a plate with tons of veggies, but instead, got what looked like veggie scraps or leftovers and soup that had little pieces of meats and garnishes . The Cheese Puffs were basically Rangoons, but unusually sweet. The Singapore noodles and chicken rice plate were ok. It was a bit bland so we relied on the fish sauce and shoyu. The banh mi was decent, but there were more bread and pickled veggies than there were meat. The buns seem like it was toasted a while ago so it looked nice and crunchy, but it was actually soft. Overall, pretty disappointing experience especially because I was in the mood for some delicious pho. It was pretty damn cheap considering the amount of food we ordered. We actually accidentally ordered too much banh mi because we misunderstood our waitress and the lunch specials. The staff is super friendly and fast. First bad service, they forgot about me and my wife on Valentine's Day. Didn't even get our water or our order taken for almost 20mins and they weren't even busy. Today's experience was worst. We got seated fast and got our order taken and got our waters. Then 45mins go by, we still don't got our food and we only ordered 3 items (noodle soup, banh mi sandwich, and egg rolls) for me and my son. Then I literally watched 3 separate customers arrive 20-30mins later and they got their food first so I'm waiting for our server to come by, but he didn't even come by or if he did, he doesn't even check on us once so I catch the attention of another worker and told him I've been waiting 50mins now since ordering and pointed out that the other customers that practically ordered the same thing, got their food already. At this point, I'm super pissed and I finally get my soup bowl, but my son doesn't have his sandwich yet and I see the kitchen still dishing out everyone else's order including other sandwiches. 1 of the customers that came after me almost 30mins later, already got their order which was similar to ours, ate it, and paid their tab. My son's sandwich finally comes out and when I complained to our server, he states that he placed my order in, but he doesn't know what happened. He doesn't see me sitting there staring at him walking by me, oblivious that I haven't been served yet. This guy is not fit to work the floor by himself because he is incompetent to multi-task, doesn't even say sorry until I leave, the kitchen staff that he blamed, can't even prioritize orders that came in first. The service SUCKS A$$! Having bad service twice within 1.5 weeks is ridiculous. Don't come here unless you wanna wait 30mins for your order to be taken and another hour until they realize they forgot about you. I'm all for supporting small businesses, but f*ck this place.
