Last September I contacted Winston Brown remodeling for an estimate for some beams in my living…read moreroom. The person from the front office called me back and set up an appointment with Abby. Took Abby about two weeks before she contacted me with an exact date. When she arrived, She took measurements and said it would take about 10 days to get the estimate back to me. I never heard another word from her. Finally about a month later I get a text that she's still waiting for materials information. That's fine, I can accept that. After that, I never heard another word from her. I left her three text messages which I know she read, but refused to get back to me. Two weeks ago I called the office and left a message asking for information on what was happening with my request. Once again, silence. I sent Abby another text asking her what was going on and why was she ignoring my text messages. She texted back saying she had family problems and was only working part time at Winston but would give my information to Jolene on 27 December. As of today I had not heard anything so I called again. I got Abby on the phone. She acted like nothing had happened. No apologies for the delay. No apologies for not getting back to me...nothing. I asked when Jolene was going to get back to me and she said Jolene's not back until the third. Not once did she apologize for ignoring me. I was very much looking forward to getting decorative beams in my front room, but I can say it's not going to happen with this company. Time to move on and find someone else. Update, Abby just called me back with amazingly she had the estimate! When I told her how upset I was that for months, I've been waiting for this estimate and after I call, she amazingly pulls it out of the air to send to me and that I wanted to speak to someone higher up in the company. Her exact words were, I think it's best you take your business elsewhere.

Was told this was the "only" business…read moreI could get it from locally - only to find out that Winston-Brown in turn ordered it from another local wholesale company! I could have done that myself! Jake at Winston Brown NEVER returns phone calls, is unfocused, unprofessional and if you go to their facility, you will have to wait until the receptionist finishes her personal phone call before she will acknowledge your presence (happened to me twice). Now I have a door that took 10 weeks to arrive (Jake told me 4-6 weeks) with hardware I didn't want because he wouldn't return my call so I could give him the number for the assembly I wanted. Tried to talk to him about it, but he couldn't have cared less! Forgot to update, so here it is (it just keeps getting worse)...the door arrived (late as above-stated) and guess what? Winston-Brown ordered it as a right-handed door. WRONG, the door is a left-opening door, so the pilot holes were and brackets were on the wrong side in order to hang the door. They assured me they would put a rush order in on another door (didn't happen) and after 6 more weeks the door arrived, was installed and I will never call Winston-Brown again.

Looks beautiful, but poor quality…read more We hired Hinkle to pour a big round patio with a seating area and a grill station. We went ahead and went with the most expensive bid (Hinkle Hardscapes--just shy of $12,000). Problems from the very beginning... First, poured the patio 4 inches taller than the rest of the patio....lol (they fixed the mistake) Second, crew backed into our mailbox and just left it. Thank god we had a nest camera (they fixed after I showed them the footage) Third, crew left a huge HUGE hole in the concrete (hidden under the egress ledge so hard to see). Hole collects water and is now leaking into our finished basement. ...now, of course, causing mold issues. Ken, the owner, said they'd come out and fix the hole.... That was 2 months ago. Again, nice people.... The end product LOOKS beautiful. But for 12k I never thought I'd end up with this many problems + water into the foundation.

They covered our light poles and shed to protect them from splashback, and they laid plywood throughout the yard to prevent the equipment and crew from tearing up our grass. The finished concrete looks beautiful, and we truly appreciated how much attention they paid to protecting our property and making sure everything was done right. We would absolutely use E&B 3 Brothers Concrete LLC again for another project we have planned, and we highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality concrete work and a crew that genuinely cares about their customers!

That was way too late and I decided to not have them come out. Because of the good reviews, I decided to give them another chance. I contacted them again on March 8, 2025 and they were supposed to be at my house between 2-3 on the 9th, At 3:02, I was told they would be there in 50 minutes. I had been waiting on them and had somewhere I needed to go, so I stated I was hoping they would have been there between 2-3 like was scheduled. I pushed my plans to later and said they could come out as long as they were there by 4:00 and then they changed the time to 4:10. When I again said that was fine and asked them not to push it any further out, they responded with "Nevermind" and blocked me. They even blocked me from their Facebook page, clearly to keep me from leaving a bad review. I find it very unprofessional to not keep your appointment time more than one time and then block a person after taking up their afternoon because they were waiting on you. I would never recommend or work with someone who can't even have the decency to show up when they suggested, not offer one apology and then turn around and do what they did.
