He suggested I first get an MRI, so glad he did as I had a a significant rotator cuff tear, steroids would have masked the pain and made things worse. He provided great step-by-step detail on the procedure and what to expect wrt pain and recovery, and has been very present post-operation. The podiatrist barely even looked at me before saying "it's a sprain, you'll be fine by Monday." I angrily told him it was NOT a sprain, that I knew my body and something was wrong. That night had me back in ER for excruciating pain. Enter Dr. Friedberg the following week who, after some manipulation of my foot, and some questions concluded that I had a fascia tear that would probably take a few months to heal. Man was I glad I went to Dr. Friedberg! My foot did take a few months to heal, but he was nothing but kind, gentle, and professional through the entire process. He offered tips and tricks on how to regain strength and reduce pain, showed me my MRI images, and explained things in very simple and detailed ways. I cannot say enough good things about him, especially if you need a second opinion.

After speaking with numerous doctors in the Los Angeles area where I live, my research convinced me…read morethat my best option for my ankle issue was going to be Boston Sports and Biologics so I booked the flight to Boston from Los Angeles. Dr. Sussman performed a Tenex procedure on my right ankle for a Haglund Deformity/bone spur just a week ago and the healing process and results have been amazing. I had minor to moderate pain for just a few days but much less than I had expected. I have been able to return to normal activities in less than a week and the pain I lived with for more than a year due to the haglund deformity is gone. All of the other doctors in Southern California told me that Tenex was not an option and that my condition required an open surgery under general anesthesia and I would have many months of pain and healing. Dr Sussman performed the procedure in less than 15 minutes under local anesthesia, numbing the ankle area only. It was well worth the flight to Boston and back home to Los Angeles. I highly recommend Boston Sports and Biologics. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Dr Sussman is probably the premier physician in the country, if not the world, using this procedure.

Due to traffic, I was 10 minutes late and he wouldn't see me. I, too, was upset. But I realized that others were waiting to use the procedure room I was supposed to be in, and it had been passed on since I was late. I haven't been late since! But, after 11 years, he's STILL the best around, in my opinion. I hear so many times from family and friends of doctors who aren't helping them. I always refer them to Dr. Hummel. After all these years, he still takes the time to talk with me and find out how I'm managing my pain. I was in the hospital for knee replacement surgery, and THAT doctor left me in pain for 7 hours! When he finally got the meds changed, one nurse read the order wrong, and was refusing to give it to me! THAT'S a bad pain doctor! I'll never switch from Dr. Hummel.

My wrists did not require surgery but my index finger did. Being a former US Marine and have had a few surgeries over many years, Dr Deitz is an outstanding Doctor and a true professional. Second to none in my opinion. He treated me for my wrist and and told me that I would not need surgery and advised me to do physical Therapy for a time and come back to see him. Dr Deitz answered all my concerns and was very patient with me. I did all that he told me to do to have mobility and strength in both my wrist. He was right on in regards to the time it should be heald and when i could get back to doing what I do. I wasn't so lucking on my index finger, there was a problem. Dr Deitz showed me the ex rays and advised me what he planed on doing. I told him what ever you think lets do it. Dr Deitz put 4 pins and some screws in my finger and when I saw him before pre op Dr Deitz said " I think i am going to put it off for a week and let the swelling go down" I agreed. He was right because waiting made my recovering a lot less time. I cannot say enough about Dr Deitz, but iff you are looking for a Dr that will make you feel at ease then he's your man. Also all the staff from the New England Hand Associates were so professional and made sure I had directions to all there facilities and a special thanks to Suzan, Thanks for the attention ( you know what I mean) Jim Leeber Westford,MA
