At Renaissance Hair in Leed, I received what can only be described as five star client service! I was late for my appointment and they were so accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. Liz stepped in to cut my hair which was a restyle and she did a fantastic job, providing exactly what I asked for and it's a long time since I walked away from z salon with a genuine smile on my face. They are a little pricey, but I didn't mind paying as the cut, and their treatment of me was worth every penny. I will definitely be back soon. Give them a try, I'm convinced you'll also walk away happy!!! 10/10 from me!

While living in Leeds, I've flitted from salon to salon on a budget, never really ending up completely happy with my haircut or hairdresser. One day after looking at Google reviews, I decided to give Renaissance a try, and boy am I glad I did! I was booked in with George, who asked me loads of questions about what I wanted, what I did and didn't like about my hair, how I style it, etc. George was really friendly, offered to get me a drink (including wine or beer - how good is that?!), and just completely made me feel at ease. I was really happy with my hair when George had finished - it looked exactly like I had in mind. I've been back several times now and been really happy each time, it finally looks like I can stop flitting from salon to salon! It wasn't expensive either, though I think it's recently increased to around £34.

I might have like more concentration on the feet specially. I think the Thai massage has more pressure and is done over towels. One nice thing was they have a shower where you can wash off all of the oil. Very good price and no appointment was needed during weekday.

Hands Tanned do everything you could ask for in a nail bar. As you will see from their displays they sell a number of different and varied 'nail art' bits, at the moment for only £10 too. Dazzling! They are also selling varnish for £6 and have some delightful colour options. As well as nails Hands Tanner fit semi permanent eyelashes, which I must admit I'd be a bit scared to have done, but it sounds pretty interesting! Finally, they also do bikini lines, including their advertised 'heart shaped' bikini lines which are now available... Well where do I start?…read more My boyfriend bought me a gift voucher for Hollywood lahes (worth £85), on the hollywood lashes leaflet it states a patch test is a must at least 24hrs prior, so I tried ringing no answer so I left messages no response, this went on for around 3 days, so I decided to go in and book a patch test. When I arrived at the salon the lady who dealt with my request for a patch test said "there is no need for a patch test" and basically they didn't have the time!! On the day of my apointment I was running a few minutes late so called 15mins before my apointment to let them know she replied "it will come out of your time!!', so at this point I had a feeling it was gonna be a rushed job! When I arrived she said ''we can do all the paper work after''.. ie allergies etc(very professional I thought) So I lay on the treatment table for my lashes to be applied... all going well, 45mins later she has finished.. (or my time was up) hollywood lashes take at least 1hr to be applied correctly.. As I went to sit up my hair is stuck to the treatment table with glue!!! she spent 5mins scraping the glue off and trying to free my hair without having to cut it out..(no apologies) So I look in the mirror and notice on one eye that theres no eye lashes in the corner, I told her so she quickly got me on the bed to put a few more lashes in.. When I got home I noticed the ones she rushed to put in was not applied the correct way so now have eye lashes that look so stuck on its unbelievable!! To some this salon up: customer service is poor, the treatment I had was poor, the salon was cold and un inviting...

Now I…read morecould say maybe work out a little bit more or cut down on the vino, but hell what would be the fun in that. What I'm really talking about is some good old hardcore pamper action. I'm telling you the gospel according to me speaks the truth and you can go forth and spread the word at Mint. It's a lovely salon on Boar Lane and knows what it is dealing with. We want treatments, we want them now, we want them at times that fit in around our busy lives and we want them at a good price. Hoorah for common sense. An essential manicure sorts me out though you can have longer sessions. Then it's a good old body massage because all this writing, eating and drinking is enough to wear out the body and soul. They can even sort out my rampant hair issues (I'd rather not talk about it, it's too distressing), and no one is any wiser. If I have to move onto the back wax though, I'll know the hormone treatment has gone too far. Check out the facials, tints or nail art too. And that's just for the men! Well maybe not but there is enough on offer to keep the boyf in tow if his rather piddling pain thresh hold is up to it.
