I like stilleto so that often makes it difficult too. I called and set up an appointment two weeks before the date. I asked if they used the dremmel tool and I was told yes but if I didn't want it that it would be okay. I don't like how weak it makes my nails. I showed up to my appt a few minutes early and I saw her reach for the dremmel and I explained that I don't like to use that and I apologized. She said no problem started buffing the top layer of the nail polish and then let me know that they just still your hands in the acetone. Not ideal but okay. She files them and I am so pleased with how she is doing it. However, I notice I am not getting my cuticles cut or anything besides a polish changed and a file. I honestly was thinking maybe they paint then do them (I was so surprised). She told me the cost was $30. I saw on the board that it said 25 for shellac and asked why the difference. She explained that $5 was for taking off someone else's nail polish and I then said what about cuticles and such and she said that you have to specify if you want a manicure there. I looked at her in surprise I am sure because she then said that most people who get shellac do not want a full mani. I have never heard of this. I have even been told by my nail tech that she hates when I just want a polish change because it doesn't look as finished. My appointment was with Cynthia. All the reviews I saw were amazing. I am unsure as to what happened but I feel like she was upset from the beginning about me not wanting to use the dremmel tool. My appointment was yesterday. You can see from the photo below that it is not ideal for having a fresh mani (or lack of one). I am out $35 bucks and I still don't have a manicure.

I am giving this place one star because they offered me a free cold diet coke. Other than that...if…read moreyou want any service done here...don't do it. Not sanitary is the big concern. I have been to some pretty shady looking nail places in the last 30 Years of getting manicures every six weeks and I am willing to overlook a lot but this place is ultimately the #1 of worst nail places. First, "Lance" soaked my hands in a bowl of 100% pure acetone instead of wrapping each finger to remove the shellac. Then he walked away like I was going to sit there like that the 8 MINS he disappeared after that. He was physically offended I felt I uncomfortable with soaking my fingers in 100% ACETONE for more than 30 seconds let alone 8+ mins he left me there. He said that is the way he removes all shellac for the last 20+ years. I was his "first complaint in 25 years that someone didnt like to soak their hands in pure acetone. Anyway..and then cutting tools come out and they look dirty. And..literally over my shoulder is a guy who looks straight off the Zac Brown Band stage (no offense to the band, but that's definitely "a look"), he is scrubbing tools in the sink with soapy water very casually and this told me 100% this is how they are cleaning nail cutting tools. Folks, these are the owners Lance and Yoko (assuming accurate names). I had started to get nervous and discussed the cleanliness and get this....they suggested I was unhappy and they...kicked me...out of their store. "You are unhappy, we can tell, you should go." I wasn't all that unhappy at that point...but I was just inquiring. I said I was fine and that we should just stick to paint and no using cutting tools. They said no and kicked me out. I wanted to at least pay for the cold Diet Coke. I am no Karen. This place is horrible and I would avoid even if you were in my situation of looking for ONE place open on Sunday afternoon Memorial Day weekend. Don't settle and choose this nail spa. If this is "new management " don't believe that either. Crazy enough, I would actually take my time out and figure out who to turn this business into. Someone's going to get an infection.
