The best set I had done was a lovely lady whose name was Tu (spelling may be wrong) and I will try to see her next time I go. I believe a regular acrylic full set is around $35, which is a great price, I had a gel acrylic infill with two repairs and shellac for $50. The salon is clean and bright, they run a screen with movies so you don't get bored, and each time I've just been a walk in, and have only waited 5 minutes or so. The salon is located on the top level, near Myer.

I have complained about her specifically, other staff members have been ok in the past. It felt personal after a time. She needs a different source of employment.

The collection of magazines (half the reason I go to the beautician, let's be serious) is as up-to-date as is humanely possible; not that it's necessary. In my vast experience with Glenrose Beauty Gallery, I've never had to wait for more than ten minutes. Plus, recent history tells me that you can ring and demand an appointment that very day, and they can usually accomodate you. The services offered by Glenrose Beauty Gallery are extremely comprehensive; in one pink and silver coloured world, you can get waxed, made up, manicured, Botoxed facial-ed or fake tanned. Although I only use a fraction of these services, it's nice to know that if I chose to become a fake tanner, I could do so immediately preceding my wax.. In line with the luxury suburban experience, the prices aren't cheap. But then, the quality of the goods and services rendered are not either - whatever I've had done seems to last just that little bit longer than when I've gone for the cheaper option elsewhere. This professionalism extends to the staff - although Glenrose Beauty Gallery is a family run business (with a mother and daughter on staff), the level of professionalism is extremely high. All the beauticians and receptionists are exceptionally well groomed, as well as engaging in a good standard of professional banter - all the usual questions are asked (What are you doing on the weekend? How good/bad is this weather!), plus some more innovative ways to pass time (Who are you barracking for this weekend? What kind of music do you listen to when you go out?).
