One of the best pedicures I have had in a long time! As you would expect for a Sunday, it was quiet…read morewith one other customer inside. I was seated in the first spa chair near the window, always my favorite spot. My nail lady was very nice, without all of the billion questions most technicians had with a new customer. She She asked my preferences, checked that the water was suitable and let me rest with the massage chair in motion for two minutes. She offered me tea or water she returned. The chair was new so it got out some knots and tension in my back. Yay! Most salon technicians will scrub the bottom of your feet, then massage both feet and legs with a scrub/lotion mix for maybe 30 seconds. This she did, but for at least five full minutes. She even massaged the toes! She let my feet soak in the swirling warm water while she moved on to my manicure. Nothing overly spectacular, she did a perfect job. After she cleaned, shaped and massaged by hands she went back to my feet. Towel dried them then did a once over again on the nails, making certain all cuticles were perfect. She was very thorough! Anyway, enough about my toes. The salon is clean, organized and bright. There is low level music on in the background. It is located on Dominion Road, so be warned about the street noise. All basic salon services are here, waxing, mani/pedi, lash extensions, acrylics etc. There are a handful of gel-nail polish, so if you want a particular color bring it.

I tried telling her about the pain except she held me down and said it is normal and it will be less sore when I go home. She also applied multiple eyelashes on to one eyelash with big chunks of glue which irritated my eye the whole time I had the extensions. Cheaper isnt always better, especially when it comes to things to do with eyes.

We saw their regular customers being offered a cup of tea while we just sat there with no drinks. I saw other customers who didn't seem to be regulars that also didn't get drinks. We started with a pedicure and it was the most uncomfortable pedicure we've got. The girl who did my friend's put HOT WATER in the tub and nearly burned my friend's feet. The tubs aren't attached to the chair so it kept moving and we had to put our weight on it to keep it steady. Clearly it was not a relaxing time for us. We then moved onto our gel manicure. They seemed to have lots of colour options but they actually didn't have quite a number of them in stock. Best to check with them before picking a colour. The ladies who did mine and my friend's manicure cut our fingers but didn't even apologize for it and didn't put rubbing alcohol to prevent infection. They just proceeded with the rest of procedures with the blood on our fingers... It was also the most expensive manicure we've got for a simple one colour gel manicure. I wouldn't recommend this place to my friends and wouldn't come back here again...

Even if you just go in for a basic file and polish, they do it so carefully and with absolute precision, and the manicure comes with a killer hand massage. Equal to the results you get is the service. The women working at Sassi are so friendly and polite, and obviously make a real effort to keep the salon looking clean and fresh, and stocked with plenty of new, quality mags (always vital!). The products are OPI-based and they stock a full range of OPI products including Gelcolours and the ever-delicious Avojuice. They also do a mean Shellac and offer all those extensiony fake things too. The prices are at the higher end, but it's superb value for money.
