It took Mimi 3 hours to do my nails (dip) She had to redo a bunch of them because the quality of the product was so bad. The top coat is garbage; there were ridges and scratches all over. Avoid like the plague. Bad attitude and extremely low quality. They don't even clean the excess product off your fingers. I'm redoing my nails myself. read more

After my nail technician of 5 years left the country i had once again searched for somene who would understand my wishes, be friendly and coureous and just no have a typical "miami attitude"..(a rare sight, actually) And in 2 months i found her! Kim from Nails Concepts is a gem. She listened attentively to my desires, understood what and how it had to be done and, literally, overdelivered..I am in love. She surrounded me with warmth, giving her undivided attention with no rush; not only she understood the shape from the first glance, but carried it out gently and carefully without me asking to do so, as normally i had to. From the time i sat down to the time i left it was a wonderful experience - there were 3 more clients and 2 more technicians, and we all talked and laughed and enjoyed our time. I was grateful the shop took me in last minute; however, the tech was very rough with my nails. She kept hitting her tools (drill, file, etc) against the skin around my nails. I have difficulty not holding my fingers really stiff when my nails are being done. I realize this makes it slightly harder to do my nails; however, in 15+ years of having my nails done I've never had a tech go on and on about it. The others have laughed a little but that's it. The shop also didn't have a very relaxing atmosphere. read more

I love my nails every time. Usually I get Helen to do them, but the other day I went in without an appointment, and she wasn't there, and Andy did a great job. They have ANC dipping color (or color dip???), which basically outlives any of us, lol. And they also have chrome powder that they can add on top of ANC or gel or a regular manicure. They call it chrome, but chrome as defined on the Internet doesn't have multicolor tones in the light. The one I got does, so it would be more in the holographic category. Tomatoe, tomato. Anyhoo, my nails always last a very long time (easily, a month), and I'm not exactly a delicate flower when I'm taking things in and out of bags, etc. I live in NYC now, and I've yet to find a place that I really, really like. So when I visit FL, this is always something I do at some point. Another girl (I'll get her name next time) did my pedicure with gel and literally reconstructed one of my toe nails out of acrylic. You would never tell I had a nail injury or nail loss. Highly recommended! read more

I went to this place today to relax and obviously do my nails. The lady who seemed to be the owner seemed very distracted while doing my nails. Then picked up a phone call and left my power dip applied to 'air dry'. In addition she applied the powder dip on my skin in multiple fingers (out of the nail). When I asked her to please address it, another tech began filing my skin to remove the excess dried dip- imagine how that felt. after a while I told him to stop because he was actually smudging the recent paint job so the damage was worse than before. On top of everything he began complaining, arguing, screaming at the 'owner' about her not doing a good job and him having to fix it. She was shouting back and doors where slammed. All all this went on for s good 5 minutes. As soon as I got the opportunity I paid (for the horrible job done and horrible experience) I definitely will NEVER EVER go back her or recommend it. read more

Easy to get a walk-in. Guy who did my nails was pretty nice, but my first time getting dip and really didn't like how it came out. The french tip does not look straight at all to me. Was pretty bummed because dip is expensive and i finally decided to bite the bullet but after the powder and everything, i was waiting for the line to straighten and for me to love how they came out but i really didn't. $35 for dip, where most places charge 45+ so that's nice. Also couldve been great if i decided just to get plain nail polish, no french. read more

Kim is the best. Can't leave a review for anyone else but her as I haven't had my nails done there by anyone else. I would say that they run a small staff with existing clients so although walk-ins are welcome and appointment is encouraged. They are very good at keeping their appointment times and if someone cancels they will call you in case you want to come in earlier. read more

My new spot. If you do the nexgen (powder) then this is the place you want to have your nails done. I'm a smoker so I will only use the NexGen. If I do acrylics or regular gel polish by the second week my nails will start to yellow and look terrible. However when I do the NexGen my nails still look good 3 Weeks later but I have to get them done because of the new growth. Anyone who does the NexGen Knows that most salons have a very limited selection of colors. Not Nail Concepts since they specialize in the powder & gels they have the largest selection of powder of any nail salon I've been to in the area. Helen is the absolute best! read more

If I could give 0 stars I would !!! this place 1. VERY dirty 2. Owner VERY rude 3. Prices for 5 minute polish change $10 OVERPRICED. Went in for a polish change, and a fill. I asked for an experienced nail tech, and was given someone who had been doing nails no longer then a month max. I told the owner in which she proceeded to throw me out of the salon. She also made me pay for my polish change, even without completing my full nail service. I suggest finding any other salon than this one !!! read more

My husband is super picky about who does his manicure because he essentially has no nails and wants the cuticle skin around the nail cut well. He found Kim and loved her. I started to go to Kim soon after that and never disappointed. Have referred her to friends who are also very happy with her. read more

Do not by pass this place! It's not the newest and hippest but hands down the best pedicure I've ever had. My feet were a wreck and she filed them down and fixed them up proper. This place was weird. I went in for a mani pedi with regular polish. She cut deep into my cuticles to the point that it was painful, and wasn't really nice until her other customers came in for powered gel manis. She rushed through my mani and handed me over to the other owner to finish my pedi. They were a bit aggressive with their tools, and I could not tell if their tools had been cleaned or not (she used what was on her table, nothing was taken out of sterile packaging). Also, I don't recommend a regular mani pedi there. I had to switch the polish that I chose because it was super old. The male owner had to use pliers to open the bottle and he polish was thick and gross when she opened it...and she still tried to do my mani with it! I came here because it was close to home, but I will continue to go to the place next door instead. Just take a pass on this one, folks. read more

So lucky to stumble upon this gem! Mimi and her husband were great! My cuticles were horrible and Mimi took the extra time to fix them... the right way... I tried the powder hell for the first time and love it so far. As she was buffing my nails she noticed that she missed a spot and went back (re-dipped) to make sure all my nails were covered...first class!!! I've experienced other salons that wouldn't do that! Love this place and will definitely be back! As for those leaving bad reviews about not taking them as a walk in... If you call to see if they are open, why not make an appointment!?!?!! You can't assume they won't get other customers that walk-in our call to make an appointment... And then get upset when they are full... Be an adult and know it was your bad, next time make an appointment! read more

I forgot and returned today despite the horrible customer service and the fact that this place is hot and feels like a terrarium. I asked for a $30 pedicure and as soon as I got to the nasty guy at the front. He looked at me with the same arrogant and shady face as last time and said "your total is $75". He got super nasty with me when I asked him how it could be double. Spoke to me like I was stupid. This man is a con artist and he does this to everyone. I'm not even sure how this disgusting salon is still open. I felt low class even being in there and arguing with a MAN about him trying to steal from me. This place is dirty, hot and muggy, smells terrible, and the owner is the worst part. He is so gross for doing this to people. I will never return here.

At my most recent visit, the owner was present and a sign was posted stating a "convenience fee" would be charged for credit card payments. I asked if I could use my debit card (not a credit card), and was told no. I pointed out that this kind of fee should be communicated ahead of time, at booking or confirmation, so customers can plan accordingly. This isn't the first time either. When prices were raised previously, there was no notice given. Same owner. Same lack of communication. When I mentioned this as a basic customer service suggestion, the owner literally shrugged. That kind of dismissive attitude says everything. If it weren't for Lindy's professionalism and talent, I would never return. She deserves better, and so do her clients.

The pedicure started off good but as soon as it was time to start my nails... I was passed off half way through them because another client came in. I wanted coffin style black french tip but the lines were totally uneven so I asked if it could be changed to the black and red cat eye. The guy doing the tips threw the ring of nails on the table and started yelling in mandarin. So the original women finished them but used the wrong color and didn't shape them correctly. These are not coffin style nails, there are bubbles in the nails and the nail dip is uneven. I wish I hadn't gone here because they didn't even apologize for the guys scary behavior and they aren't what I asked for!
