Tom did such an amazing job on my nails! The design turned out even better than I imagined--clean, creative, and such great quality. The price was very fair, and the service was so friendly and welcoming that it made the whole experience enjoyable. I've gotten so many compliments already on my nails! Highly recommend Tom if you're looking for both talent and great customer care. Don't let the aesthetic of the shop sway your opinion--just means they aren't going to charge you overhead to pay for their marble floors like some other salons will. I got my nails done with an appointment here 3 days before my wedding. I've only gotten my nails done once before so I'm pretty much entirely new to the process but the staff was able to help and was extremely nice, friendly, and funny. Despite the busy day, they were all in great moods and didn't seem stressed. My nails held up perfectly and are still looking flawless after the wedding (I've been careful with them). HORRIBLE. Extremely overcharged me. Paid for a pedicure that included several features which they did not do. They did not wrap my legs with the hot towel, they used a regular towel to wipe off the lotion. My feet were not scrubbed or massaged after I paid for exfoliating and the $40 package. I also got an acrylic fill and it cost me more than a new full set. It was a ridiculously bad experience. read more

I am pretty experienced when it comes to nail salons. I've had my nails done for years, and can say that I have experienced some top notch salons. This is not one of them! I was in a hurry, and this place is so close to my home, I decided to give it a try. I am very particular about my nails, and want them done my way. This is not a salon to try if you want things done differently than your nail tech wants to do them. Overall, the nails look fine, but I've definitely had better. I'll keep looking for a salon who wants to do what their customers want, rather than what takes the least amount of time and effort to do. read more

I have been visiting Tom and Kim at Nail Care for many years. I was first impressed with their pricing as compared to some other places, and their very cheerful greetings when you come in to the salon. They are very happy to see everyone, even if they are busy - and they will tell you to please have a seat and they will provide service, no matter how busy they are. I've learned that if there is something I want to simply tell them or show them a picture; they've always done their very best to accommodate even some of my crazy ideas - with great compliments from others when they are done. I've even had a nail tech determine that she was not the right artist to finish my design, after trying a few times, and asked another to help in order to provide me with what I was asking. It's not a big fancy nail salon, but I've always enjoyed going, like the people, and continue to prefer supporting a Platte City business. read more

Love this place so much. Relaxed and spacious environment. Tom is hilarious and Monica is an artist. They are cheaper than tips to toes and do a mug much better job. Monica (I think her name is) compares all the nails to each other to make sure they are exactly the same size and exactly what you want. She does a really great job, and all the other employees talk to you and each other while they work and they have a good selections of colors and don't take too long. read more
