Tempura and spicy chicken teriyaki

Loved the food. Got 7 prawn tempura and spicy teriyaki. The prawn tempura was crisped nicely. The spiciness in the teriyaki was seasoned perfectly. The salad was fresh and crunchy. Will be back!

After visiting several of the teriyaki places around Gig Harbor Nagoya is clearly stepping away as my clear favorite by a mile. Great place kinda hidden in the strip mall next to Fred Meyer, very nice owners and very good prices and large portions. The spicy chicken teriyaki is the first dish I order at any teriyaki place and Nagoya's is far and away the best in town. Great sauce, just spicy enough and you can order it small and large which is great depending on your mood. The gyoza, teriyaki chicken and yakisoba are all great as well. Definitely heading back and the 5th star may be added as I try a few more dishes. Edit: September 3rd 2013 5th star now added. I have now been to Nagoya numerous times and it is far away my favorite place for teriyaki in Gig Harbor. Everything I have ordered has been great, very well priced and always perfect in every way. Great teriyaki place, I always recommend them first to anyone in town. Edit: September 2018 I eat here about once a week, some times more and it's still incredible. Easily the best place in the harbor. No one can touch their portions sizes and prices on every dish. Super nice people running the place. I am surprised at some reviews saying the lady is rude. Quite honestly I don't think she speaks much English as she is very quiet when we go in, that may be some peoples confusion if they're asking a lot of questions. Always smiling and helpful.

Great yaki. Call in your order about 20-30 mins in advance or bring a friend to get you thru the long wait.

Best Teriyaki in the harbor. They're actually Japanese people that own it.

A little spot with tremendous selection. The food is great. If you get the chance try the spicy chicken balls.

Our favorite place in the Harbor for teriyaki! We've tried other teriyaki places around town and none could match. Keep up the good work.

We asked for another dish and the server said she didn't think it was possible but that she would ask the owner or manager to come to the table. Right away the woman was rude and said it looks like 3 bites were taken so we would have to pay for a new dish and it would take a long time because they were busy-- it wasn't. We asked nicely and she was rude and I think it was embarrassing for everyone, especially for my daughter who is 26 yrs old and not very picky at all. At this point my daughter said she will pass on another dish because we would have to pay for it and everyone would be done and not even enjoy it after this fiasco. So then, I asked for a refund and she refused. Now everyone in the restaurant was staring at us and I got upset with who I assumed was the owner since she was so greedy. I said I would post very bad reviews on Yelp and Google so she finally (out of embarrassment from customers listening) said she won't charge for the bad teriyaki but no replacement. My daughter sat there hungry so I shared my food with her and got the hec out of that place. Never again!!! I have never experienced this in ANYWHERE!

We were greeted and seated immediately (had a reservation). Our server arrived with menus and water quickly. I chose the seafood salad, my wife the grilled chicken burger with bacon and avocado and fries which we shared. The service continued at very high levels and we will be back. Easy parking here and reasonable prices.

We were excited to get together with these friends and sup at the Greenhouse for this first time. Due to the popularity of this establishment we were seated about a half hour after our reservation time. Later seating probably and also had to do something with it being New Year's eve. The front-of-house team from maitre d' to table servers were pleasant and efficient. She-who-must-be-obeyed ordered a Mixed Green salad whilst I ordered a Spinach, Beets, Goat Cheese salad with a yummy raspberry vinaigrette although kitchen might have been a wee bit heavy handed with dressing. Alas, both were lovely salads. Wild Seafood Linguini Alfredo was my partner's main course and thoroughly enjoyed. I ordered Classic Seafood Cioppino and whilst it didn't quite hit the high bar set by my beloved Sotto Mare Oysteria & Seafood in San Francisco, it was definitely a dish I would recommend and will order again. Our meal was completed with a lovely by Creme Brulee ordered by my partner whilst I happily ate a cup of Madagascar Vanilla ice cream and Raspberry with Blackberry ribbons sorbet. The Greenhouse was for us a wonderful discovery and we shall return.

The seating was bench and table, not too busy early afternoon to sit where we wanted. Ordered Pho (Combo & Brisket), Banh Mi Chicken and a Bubble Peach Tea. The food took longer than a typical Pho restaurant takes. The boba tea came out right away. The drink was grainy, which leads me to assume they use the powdered mixture. The Tapioca balls were mushy. Not recommended as this drink gets a 2. The Banh Mi was good 3.5, meat was not dry and plenty of fillings. The negative was the mayo, a little too much as it overpowered the taste. I needed to add sauces to counter. The Pho bowls were excellent 5, the regular was still a lot. They need to add a smaller bowl. There was a lot of meat, more than normal. The broth was not greasy. The side toppings were fresh and not wilted. Highly recommend trying this place out. We happen to drive by and the colorful windows caught our attention. We only ate Vietnamese dishes, but they have other items fried rice to tenders to satisfy any party. Next time I come out, I will try their noodle bowls.
