Such a beautiful couple and wonderful experience. We were visisting New Orleans last January 2025 and just brielfy looking at wedding rings. We had discussed wanting to avoid getting "cookie cutter" rings as we wanted to go unique or art deco. We walked past the outside of their store and had to walk in. We were greeted by Effy and automatically fell in love with his charm and character. My girlfriend of 3 years at the time automatically spotted a ring that she fell in love with and I spotted mine right after. Effy said that he could easily re-size them for us and that they were having a sale. The ring my girlfriend picked out was the art deco style she was looking for and mine was a unique shape with almost a "triangual" shape on the top with 5 large diamons in the center and a solid band on the bottom. It needed to be sized down quite a bit, but it was not an issue. He said he could get them done that evening and to us the next morning. My girlriend was elated! We picked up our rings the next morning with a text message sent promptly at 10AM and I ran down to the shop and slid my ring on with a perfect fit. All polished and looking fantastic. Couldn't be happier. We still love our rings even to this day. Effy's wife is such a sweetheart and the heart of that store. They make such a beautiful couple and make you feel at home. We have never been to New Orleans before, but we are so glad that we stopped in and made some new family/friends. We will definitely be back for some more jewelry and even just to say hi. A really fun store with an amazing collection of art and unique reasonably priced jewelry! I found a pendant, sterling silver with a red carnelian stone and a sterling silver chain, both discounted. Got this vintage Effy necklace at Naghi's. They were really kind with me as I tried on many of their pieces before settling on this necklace. A nice shop just down the street from our hotel. We stepped in on our morning walk and found two great guys running the place. Just good ole' New Orleans guys who were great to talk to about the items in the shop and the history of the city. We bought a beautiful pair of earrings for my wife's birthday. One of the great things about French Quarter Fest is that you end up wandering into places you might not have stumbled into otherwise. Enter Naghi's. What drew me in were the life size sculptures, which I assume are meant for a gorgeous mansion or yard. These things are beautiful and one day, when I have my dream home, I will own many of them. They also had a golden Buddha statue just hanging out on the counter that cost $3000 and a huge portrait of Prince. Yeah, this shop was randomly awesome. They had a display case full of gorgeous jewelry and the man who was working was very nice and greeted me and told me to let him know if I need any help. I'm not sure if I will ever have the financial means, but when the day comes and I have a mid-life crisis, I'm skipping the sports car and getting that Buddha. read more

This shop is a total win on so many levels! My boyfriend and I were having a lovely day strolling through the French Quarter and as we both have a love for antiques this place caught our attention immediately. The eclectic collection in this store is amazing-jewelry, art, sculpture, pottery, you name it, it's there. I found myself a beatiful deco marcasite ring which Dwayne gave me an amazing deal on. Now for the best part of our experience - Dwayne. We stayed and talked with him for probably 45 minutes about everything from his inventory, the city's history, his love of history and books and he even shared his family's time during Katrina. I find that taking time to connect with locals wherever I travel makes my experience so much more special and I am so glad to have found this shop. Go! read more

We walked by naghi's but this gorgeous chess board in the window caught our eyes. We wandered in and although we were a) obviously tourists and b) presumably don't have the financial resources to buy anything in the store, the clerk on duty hung up his phone, greeted us warmly, recommended things for us to do, pointed out that tourist dollars like ours were how NOLA was able to rebound after Katrina as quickly as it did. It was a pleasurable interaction and made me want to go back there if I'm ever in the market for some antiques. I don't know whether he was an owner or not, but the time he took with us, even though we weren't paying customers, showed that he cared about the store and about his patrons. read more

BEWARE!!! Right-hand ring to celebrate my second retirement, from New Orleans so there would be even more joy and significance. Purchased on Saturday, resized ring promised for Monday. After FIVE visits and a laundry list of excuses (broken hip, out of silver, marcasites popped out when stretching [if stretched to size, why did they need silver?]), I made my FIFTH visit to inquire about the ring, which was supposed to be ready at 5 the evening before, then at 11 am was supposed to be ready in an hour, but wasn't. I was no longer confident of the ring's quality after such a runaround (and popped out marcasites), so I asked for a refund: "We don't do no refunds." I finally was able to pick up the ring the next hour. I wish I'd taken a picture of the ring before it went off for sizing, some of the marcasites are black, and there are more black ones on one side than the other. Apologies? No, not really. Instead sob stories of how much resizing cost them. It will be a long time before I forget this sleazy experience! read more

7 years ago my husband and I purchased a new wedding ring from Naghi's we had such a great experience with that purchase that 3 years ago when our oldest son was looking for his engagement ring we knew right where to go. He found the perfect yellow diamond & sapphire engagement ring. We got such a good deal our son was able to come back and purchase an antique platnium band to finish off the set. On April 13 stopped in to look at the estate jewelry and found just what we were looking for. Jeff (the owner?) was very helpful, cut us a good deal on a diamond ring, found a matching wedding band and sent photos and cut another deal, and we trusted him to have the rings resized and mailed up to us in Wisconsin.
