There are three Naga(yama) restaurants owned by the same group right next to each other across from the Shell station on Bandeira in Itaim. While all three restaurants offer high quality sushi, they cater to different audiences with different menus at different price points. Located at the corner of the intersection with Jesuino on the ground floor, Nagayama Cafe is generally the most popular of the three with a younger, livelier vibe and more adventurous sushi menu.
Come here to people watch for the young and stylish Paulista crowd while experiencing some of the most exciting sushi creations SP has to offer and grooving to a beat that will get you pumped for a night out. The tables here are pretty packed together, the wait is often longer than an hour, and the decor is pretty basic. The menu is focused on only sushi and offers both the classics like California rolls and more experimental rolls or nigiri like the foie gras tuna roll - get it quick before the foie gras ban goes into effect.
