My mom travelled two hours to this office a month ago seeking relief, and the doctor prescribed HRT. All seemed well, except the prescription never made it to her pharmacy. She has called multiple times but can only ever leave a message. The one time she did get to speak to someone, they insisted that they had sent the prescription again. Still, it's not there. Because of the issues with Palomar Health's online records, she has been told her only recourse is to show up at the office in person. But she lives two hours away! My aunt has gone on her behalf and still, 30 days later, she is no closer to having her medication in hand. I have no idea how Palomar Health expects to serve patients under these circumstances. I was in need of a new gyno, and my doctor's office referred me to Dr. Graven. Checking in was fine. Usual paperwork stuff. Front desk staff was fine. Not particularly friendly, but not rude either. Wait was a bit long, both in the waiting room and in the exam room. Finally, the "doctor" came in... who wasn't a doctor at all, and wasn't the person I had scheduled to see. It was a nurse practicioner. Unexpected. I had scheduled a well-woman exam, but also had a specific problem I was also in for. She asked some questions about the problem, made a quick decision about what was going on, gave me a prescription and that was it. I had to schedule to come back for the regular exam. Return visit was also with the NP. She has the warmth of a snow pea. An absolute zero on the warm and fuzzy scale. So after the basic exam, she says I should have an ultrasound and prescribes more meds. she seems to like to prescribe stuff. one was for a problem she says was detected on my blood work. Interestingly, I was sent a printed report from the lab and it wasn't noted as an area of concern. i later had a doctor look at the report and was told i had no such problem, that everything was completely within the normal limits. nothing with the NP left me feeling like i was in good hands. so i never went back for the ultrasound, or anything else. well fast forward a bit to when the bill comes. right in the middle of the list of items i was billed for... an ultrasound. that i never had. so i call up the office to let them know there's a mistake. the girl in billing said she'd have to talk to the doctor because it was on my chart that the procedure was done! huh? how is that even possible? I got a call the next day... I'm thinking to let me know they've fixed the billing issue. Nope, they were calling wanting to get paid. I said that I had called the day prior and spoken to someone about the issue and that I wasn't going to pay for a service I didn't have. "Oh? there's no note of that in your file." a few weeks went by and still no call back from them. eventually they called to let me know it was fixed... because they wanted money on a different bill. thankfully i also had the good sense to contact my insurance company, who got the charge removed for me AND let me know the matter was resolved. read more

Walking into the Women's Center... it's cozy and nicely decorated. Most of the staff was friendly, save for this one lady who I thought was an absolute bitch for no reason and she was the one who was interacting with clients the most. I've had a much better experience with the exam too. Sopp was nice enough, but awkward and rough IMO. I don't think I would come back to this place. I want to see a real OB/GYN next time. I like Dr. Graven, she's thorough and has a nice bedside manner. She takes the time to figure out the right amount of dosages on supplements and medications for your individual needs. Dr. Totman and Dr. Graven may be great doctors, however: (1) In 4 years, never was able to see either of them personally, even though I had scheduled appointments specifically with the doctors - there was always some schedule snafu, and I was seen by a physician's assistant. (2) Front office staff is poor. Poor customer skills, abrupt, and every time, messed up my insurance claims. Dr. Graven only saw us once during the entire time we went to her office (starting when I was 6 weeks along). After the appointment to determine the sex of our baby, something would always came up and we'd have to see someone else or we'd have to reschedule. The worst part of this is that I took my glucose tolerance test at her office in the latter part of my 25th week. It is now the beginning of my 29th week and I JUST FOUND OUT from my new midwife that I have gestational diabetes. No one from Dr. Graven's office ever called us with the results and they didn't even fax the results with the original request for paperwork. The only impression that I take away from my time dealing with this Dr. is that she or her staff are either careless and irresponsible or incompetent. There is no excuse for not notifying me of my condition. If you can't get in to see her partner, Dr. Totman, don't bother seeing her instead. They don't do switcheroos. read more

I am extremely confused by all of the negative reviews here. I have never felt the need to build relationships with doctors or be choosy with who I go to because previous to now I had a very boring medical record. I came to Dr. Graven by referral and after receiving what I thought was scary news from PAMF. Yes, I waited in the exam room for awhile, but she is worth the wait. I have never felt so comfortable or confident in a doctor. She is patient, kind, and willing to answer all of your questions. I ended up having an outpatient surgical procedure and Dr. Graven is a very skilled doctor. I had next to no pain during my recovery. I plan on being a long time patient of hers until she retires. read more

My original gynecologist no longer works here, so I began seeing Erica Brown. I only come here once a year for my annual, but somehow it's still a nightmare. I always schedule 12 months in advance, and somehow I still could not get in to see a doctor. They called me two weeks before my appointment, and rescheduled me for some reason for a month later. A week before that, I realize that the new appointment date coincides with my menstrual so I call to reschedule again - they can't get me in for THREE MONTHS. I guess they're understaffed? But seriously. I scheduled a year in advance for a reason. Also, the staff was very rude to me on the phone, and my voice messages went unanswered. I would find a different office if you actually plan on visiting your doctor. It's too bad, because Erica Brown was phenomenal, but I just cannot get in to see her. read more

I had two visits with this clinic and will never go back. I am thinking about getting pregnant in the near future and wanted to build a relationship with a compassionate OB/GYN team. The first visit, I scheduled to see Dr. Graven and she was at least 30minutes late. The exam was quick and she was okay. I did not walk away from that experience thinking she was a great doctor to have or a bad doctor. I simply was not excited that this was the doctor I had picked. The second visit was with one of her PAs Erica Brown. I waited about 20minutes before someone brought me to a treatment room. I waited at least 30minutes in the cold treatment room. I had to call the front desk with my cell to see if they forgot I was in the room and sure enough, Erica came right in. She could barely speak because she was getting over her cold. I wanted to just get up and leave but I decided to stick around for the quick follow up. I asked her why it ran so late and rather than apologize for the delay, she responded coldly with it's a Friday and we are busy on Fridays. She was certainly not kind and the whole time, I was thinking she can barely talk she should not be here. When she was done, it was a very cold make sure you don't leave without rescheduling. This office does not respect your time and lacks compassion. I am a health provider in the community and I was disappointed with this office. I will definitely not be rescheduling to be seen with that office nor will I refer my patients to this practice. read more

Dr.Graven delivered my son who is now 15 months. I had a great delivery, thank God. She is a great doctor. I must warn that she is not available most of the time for office visits, but she does really well in the hospital. The rest of the staff is also very friendly. I went in today for an emergency visit and they took me in right away, which I was very appreciative of. Thank you for making time for me! I would definitely go back to this office for my second baby, God willing. I am also a cash patient, and their office always worked something out for me when it was time to pay. I really like Dr. Graven, she's a super caring woman and tells you like it is, but the appointment wait time and billing "department" is an absolute joke. I just received a letter of withdrawal from care for a bill they claim they sent to collections - this bill is for the delivery of my child and I had paid half in advance, then went into early labor so I did not have time to complete the bill. When in the hospital (labor), Dr. Graven was away for a convention, so another doctor delivered my baby. I got the bill for this doctor at El Camino extremely quick, so I paid it and forgot about it. Fast forward two months, and I receive the remaining $400 ish due to Dr Graven. I called to straighten up the bill, explained I had paid another doctor for the delivery and this bill was actually half paid, but was for delivery that was completed by another doctor. They told me "you shouldn't have paid the other doctor, you pay us and we figure it out". I asked why I'd pay a doctor a delivery fee that didn't deliver and they simply said "because we cared for you through the pregnancy". After roughly 15 calls to the office, and several promises of call backs, I received the 15th "don't worry, we will take care of this for you and probably owe you a refund, we will get back to you if there are any issues". I never heard from Dr Gravens office since then and have had to call back several times regarding birth control I requested, with no mention of this bill since.....then I receive this letter. I was a part of this OB/GYN for roughly 3 months and have contacted and visited them for these billing issues more than I have ever had to with any other company. Now I have to continue to track them down just so I can attempt to save my beautiful credit score from being dinged - I've worked really hard on that, so you'd better believe I'm pretty livid. If you feel like taking on a second job as a billing consultant, feel free to join A Women's Center for your health needs. read more

Dr. Graven delivered both my kids, via c-section. I had fewer problems, easier healing, and overall a better experience with the surgery than everyone else whose birth stories I have heard. She uses a local pain pump, which also enabled me to nurse without any risk to the baby. She is an amazing surgeon. She communicates clearly, and is willing to answer questions. I prefer her no-nonsense style. She does occasionally miss appointments. But having caused at least one absence with an emergency medical situation when she was taking care of me, I can excuse a fair amount of that. read more

I have only seen Dr Graven twice, but thought she was fantastic both times. I was referred to her by my PCP for an ablation consult. I made and appt and missed it (my fault) and the office diligently followed up to get my consult set up at my convenience. Upon arrival, I filled out the initial paperwork and was called back before I was finished. My wait time was less than 10 mins. I did have my two kids with my (ages 8 &4) and the office staff (& Dr Graven) were extremely patient with their playful curiosity and a nurse offered to entertain them for part of my visit as I had some questions about the procedure. I decided to go through with the ablation and Dr Graven went above and beyond to get me scheduled asap ( my preference), even agreeing to do the procedure on a day other than her typical surgery day. She patiently answered all my questions and I felt confident in having her do it. On the day of my surgery, she was about 30mins late, she was held up at a delivery, but I brought a book, so I didn't mind, She was alert and friendly and ready to go upon arrival. I really love her no-nonsense style, I would rather have a Dr who will tell me the whole truth and not try to sugar coat anything for me. I can see how some people mind be put off by this though. So if you like to have your hand held and be coddled, this probably isn't the right office for you. I found her to be fresh, open and approachable, not stuffy or judgemental as most Drs come off as in the beginning. She is also really funny, which immediately put me at easy and approaches everything with such confidence that you cannot help but feel confident as well. Unlike others, I had no problem getting a return phone call within an hour or two on the two occasions that I felt the need to call in after my procedure. Dr graven appears to have an in-dept knowledge of the latest technology and treatment options which I think is phenomenal. It amazes me that she can keep up with all of that on top of the constant deliveries, surgeries, and other day to day appointments. Speaking from someone who used to hold an executive mgmt position, I often had to prioritize my time, and unfortunately that meant delegating some meetings and tasks to my assistants, or in this case, the PA's. That is how the world works, the clients that need a higher level of knowledge and experience based on their condition will get priority when necessary, and those with routine cases that can be handled by an assistant, should be, to allow more flexibility to attend to to those that cannot. One final thought, to the reviewers who are upset about long waits and missed appointments, she is an active OB DR, so unless you have the power to control when someone will go into labor, there really is not point in getting upset about something like that. Put yourself in her place, would you want her to miss YOUR delivery in an effort to keep a pre-existing appointment at the office? I doubt it. read more

This yelp is long over due- I have been a patient of dr graven now for almost 3 years. I was referred to her by my sister in law and endocrinologist as the best of the best for high risk pregnancies. First off let me start by saying, yes she is very busy. And yes she takes time with each of her patients and their families. Come on people, this is not a drive through. I have had nothing but a positive experience with dr graven her staff and even dr kilkenny. We lost a baby last August and it was needless to say a horrible very unpleasant time in our life, however dr graven and her staff were so supportive and patient. From the beginning to the end I felt VERY well taken care of. Know this, when you make the decision to work with this group of medical professionals you are coming to the best of the best. Yes they are going to run late and they will be busy, however you are treated with the most personal touch. My husband and I love dr graven and everything she has done for us, I'm at 35 weeks now and expecting a healthy baby girl, thanks to Dr graven. I have total confidence in her and her staff. It may seem weird that a guy would review an O.B. GYN office, but I have been to this office several times with my wife, so I believe I have some input to share. Dr. Graven has excellent bed side manner. She is friendly, concerned, intelligent, and caring. She puts her patients and their family at ease with her demeanor and responsive answers. While all this is quite important, and would leave me to giving her establishment, The Women's Center, a 5-Star rating, the office she works out of is disturbingly poorly run. The Women's Center is constantly calling its patients in much later than their scheduled time. With wait-times ranging any where from 20 to 45 minutes later than scheduled, it is exceedingly frustrating to be told that they are not ready to see you. If you complain, they may say that they will make sure that your next visit is on time, but they have yet to live up to this promise. Most of the staff is cheerful and respectful, but some seem to treat their customers as though they were an inconvenience. On the plus side, the office is pretty easy to find. If there is no parking in the small lot, it is easy to park on the street. And, if you are few minutes late, it will not even impact when they are ready to see you. (Just to be clear, that last line was filled with sarcasm.) Overall, Dr. Graven is an excellent, passionate doctor. However, the office she works out of, which lends to over 75% of the patient's experience, is not all that great. read more

I have loved being seen by Erica for my routine care the past three years. My husband and I are now expecting our first child in November and Dr. Graven will be delivering our baby. Dr. Graven is amazing. Dr. Graven is very knowledgeable, compassionate, patient - all characteristics that are vitally important given that I am going through my first pregnancy. I have been seeing Dr. Graven for going on 11 years now. I've been there for routine yearlies as well as surgeries. Dr. Graven has always steered me in the right direction as far as my care has been. She's a no non-sense doctor and I appreciate her straightforwardness. I saw at least one poster here gripe about Dr. Graven being late. Well, she delivers babies and does surgeries. Do you really want her to rush out of your delivery to attend to someone else's pap smear just because she might be late? I don't think so. I've seen office staff come and go. There have been front desk folks that were great and some that were not so great. But in the end the PAs and doctors here are stellar. Although I've moved from Los Gatos to the east coast, I still fly from NYC back to California because I truly feel that I'm getting fabulous care here. read more

This review is mainly for Dr. Graven's office, to be fair I've never seen her, but did speak to her once on the phone. The pros: Easy to get a timely appointment. Erica Brown PA is pleasant, professional, and really helpful when not being rushed. The cons: They must overbook or have a poor scheduling system. I was always taken 10-15 minutes after my appointment time, even worse then forced to sit in the freezing exam room for another 20 minutes past appointment time. The facility is dated. They try to make the reception area look cute, but it all needs an update. The exam rooms are tiny. And I am not claustrophobic. There is barely enough room for the patient, practitioner, and computer to maneuver around. One of the rooms has a gross crocheted afghan pinned on the wall (wonder how many germs and how much dust is hiding in it). The main reason I left this office is the front desk staff. Very unprofessional, always chatting about personal stuff right in earshot of all the patients in the waiting room. I once had to wait to get checked in, because they were passing around a hair piece to eachother -wtf. I was really upset when I had to call the office 4 times (in 9 days) to get a time sensitive prescription filled. Each time I would end the conversation, I was reassured yes, it would be called in. Only to waste my time at the pharmacy and calling them back, to talk to someone else saying oh so-and-so wasn't in today it will be taken care of tomorrow -- and wasn't. I don't know if it was the receptionists fault of not relaying messages or the practitioners following through, but there are serious communication issues at this office. Avoid. read more

I came to see Dr. Nadine Graven today. I waited two months to see her, which I did not mind because her name came out as a leading Dr. in hormone therapy. I drove from San Francisco. I was greeted warmly by her office staff and I waited 15 min before my name was called. I got my blood pressure and weight done by the MA then waited another 20 min for Dr. Graven. She came into the room and spent a great deal of time with me going over the reasons I was seeing her. She was warm, caring, knowledgeable and professional. I completely liked and trusted her. sad to see so many negative reviews..... I was referred here by a ex colleague of mine after I suffered a awful second trimester miscarriage at another clinic. Ending up having another healthy baby after that with this office. You really can't compare the staff with the doctor. They are not one entity. Well they are and they are not. They get paid to do their work and then they go home. Of course we all want to be treated with the utmost respect, care, compassion but seriously please name 5 places you have been in the past 6 months that actually are like this ALL the time. Humans are humans. We have good days and bad days. Took me a little while to get used to their check in process. You just sign in and wait to be called before giving them any information. I was always used to talking to someone right away, and pulling out my insurance info and co payment right away. No big deal... I got used to their style. I can honestly say I have never been disrespected here. It certainly is a very busy office and expect to wait. My review is for Dr. Graven and Erica Brown. Dr. Graven provided prenatal and delivery of my first child in 2003. I now have 4 children and still have nightmares about this physician. I count my blessings that I moved during my first 6 weeks post partum and never had to see this horrible Doctor ever again. When I recall the service this doctor provided, my heart starts beating fast and I feel out of breath. Please run from this office. During my prenatal care, I rarely saw dr. Graven herself. Always a PA. And never the same medical technician. Always a lot of turn around I suspect. Towards the end of my pregnancy, seems a Doppler (what you use to hear a baby's heartbeat) went missing. They asked me about it during a weekly visit. How would I know where a medical device ended up? During my final postpartum check before inducing delivery, this doctor had the audacity to tell me that they knew I took the Doppler and they wanted it back. WHAT? I've placed my trust in you during this whole pregnancy to ensure that I have a healthy outcome, I've never been late or missed an appointment and I've never complained about a thing and you accuse me of stealing from your office. How dare you. This office put a huge black mark on a part of my life that was supposed to be one of the most important milestones in a women's timeline. I would never be able to recommend this doctor to anyone. She has so negatively impacted such an important intimate part of my life. Run as fast as you can to another doctor. If you are looking for a completely checked out OB and incompetent office staff then this place is for you. To make this short and sweet here is a list of what you should and should not expect: Expect: 1. to be billed promptly for everything with minimal explanation of what you are being billed for. In fact there will be billing mistakes and you have to catch them and complain to get the error fixed 2. Excuses instead of apologies each time something is done wrong. I even received a gift card to starbucks once because 8 months pregnant I waited for Dr. Graven for an hour and a half after telling them that I was in a hurry and had a lot to do that day. Dr. Graven simply stood outside chatting with her staff about Cherry Pie until I came out of the room and let them have it. Do not expect: 1. to be seen on time (Dr.Graven usually runs 45min to an hour and a half late to all appointments) 2. Dr. Graven to know your chart or what procedures have already been performed 3. To be called back when promised 4. Any sort of follow up (you have to call them each time and let them know you're upset) 5. To be seen or receive a call from Dr. Graven after you deliver. I had to call her asking for certain medication and even then I only received a call back a week after delivery. Zero care for the patient!! You have been warned. This office is terrible and I gave them plenty of chances to prove me wrong. I have been Dr. Gravens patient for over a year and have stuck with her through all the terrible experiences during my pregnancy. If I could give negative stars about Dr Graven I would, only to warn other woman to stay away from her and this practice at all cost. I saw Dr Graven back in 2004 to delivery my twin boys. She and her office staff were completely unprofessional and disorganized. Two instances stand out to me, one is medical the other pertains to her incompetent staff. At the end of the day, this woman needs to have her medical license revoked, she is very dangerous. 1) Dr Graven had notified me that I was scheduled to deliver by C-Section on a particular day in 2004. The day before I was "supposedly" scheduled, I still had not heard back from Graven's office regarding any prep that I should, etc. You know, the basics that most professional Docs would call with, so I called the office and they stated that I was NOT SCHEDULED AT THE HOSPITAL OR WITH DR GRAVEN!! She had completely FORGOTTEN to schedule my C-Section on her schedule or the hospitals schedule!!! The staff had to call for several hours to find a #2 Surgeon (since I was high risk) to accompany Graven in the Op Room and was finally able to find someone last minute. In addition, after doing my blood sugar test I had never heard back from Graven's office as to whether I passed,, so I assumed I must have or they would have called, right?? Well, on my next appt and some time later, I asked how my blood sugar test went and only at that point did she realize that she had forgotten to notify me that I had failed the test!!!!. Very dangerous!!!!! Come on Graven, this is just basic follow up for standard medical care!! 2) Dr Graven's billing staff has billed me incorrectly after my C-section. I worked and spoke with her billing staff for a few months, trying to correct the issue. Finally, the office manager called me to say they had to fired the billing person and they would get back to me. That was in 2004. I never received another call or bill from her office until recently (late 2010), after the statute of limitations was up for this bill. 6 years later they finally called back and tried to make me feel that this was my problem!!! They had never officially resolved the billing issue and now wanted me to pay the entire bill!!! It never ends with this office! Shame on you Dr Graven for making what should be a wonderful time in a woman's life living nightmare that seemingly never ends with your office. read more

My first appt I waited 35min past my appt time in the waiting room and another 20min in the freezing cold exam room. When Dr Graven finally showed up she rushed in (no apology for running an hour behind) and spent no more than 8min with me and rushed back out again. I asked her about a concern I had regarding my health and she said she'd get a blood test run, have me in for another exam and 'her part would be done'. Nice. When scheduling my next appt (which I wouldn't have done except it was a follow-up to the first) I made certain to choose the 1:30pm slot as the front desk told me that since she'll be coming from lunch she won't be running late. They were 10min late getting me from the waiting room and I was left sitting in the exam room again for another 25min. I ended up calling the front desk from my cell phone to ask what the hold up was. She breezed in about 5min later (again no mention of how long I'd been waiting). Her bedside manner is a bit like a service tech doing routine maintence on automobiles. I don't sense any warmth and I'm really not at ALL a fan of how incredibly late she seems to run behind schedule. Looking for a new doctor (sigh). read more

Depending on what you need, this office is either pretty good or near-dangerous (if you consider unnecessary surgeries dangerous). For routine exams and "emergency" female issues they are very accommodating which may be why some people have mentioned there are long waits. I haven't experienced that much more than any other doctor's office and greatly appreciate their squeezing me in when I desperately need it. I've dealt with two of their PA's for years and I think they're both very well-qualified. When I first met Dr. Graven it was when 3D ultrasounds had just come out (about 7 yrs ago?) and she knew how to do them. My sister was pregnant at the time and wanted to take an in utero look so she saw Dr. Graven and I went with her. Dr. Graven seemed personable and competent so I changed to her office. Over the years she monitored a condition I had and when it took a turn for the worse (or so she thought), she recommended surgery to take care of the problem, with a possibility that it might have to be "the" surgery. I went to get a 2nd opinion at a doctor she didn't seem to care much for and lo and behold, I simply needed a hormone adjustment. My new-doctor-to-be diagnosed it sitting at his desk and confirmed with blood test and ultrasound. He also explained why, on a physical level, what Dr. Graven was saying was happening in my body could not be the cause of the symptoms. It's been about 2 years now and no need for surgery and no symptoms! I can't believe I almost had a surgery that would keep me out of work for 4 to 6 weeks when not warranted. I have been going to this office now for about 3 years. I usually see Erica Brown the PA. I've only seen Dr. Graven twice. Dr. Graven was very nice and to the point. She was thorough and answered all of my many questions. She took great care of me during my surgery as well. The office staff is always very pleasant and professional from what I've experienced. The wait time is not too bad. I'm usually in and out within an hour. Today would be the reason I give this office only 2 stars. I had my annual appointment with Erica Brown. Every annual appointment I like to have my annual blood work done. Well, Erica decided to voice her personal opinion about me requesting this blood work. Asking me a ton of questions as to why I wanted it done etc. and saying I'm wasting money by having an unnecessary test done. Then she proceeded to tell me that "I'm the reason the insurance premiums are so high" it was extremely uncomfortable an unprofessional. It turned into a bit of an argument between us. Look I'm all for personal opinions and views but today's encounter was ridiculous. I don't care if you don't agree with me wanting my annual blood work done. Keep it to yourself. I didn't come into the office for you to try and push your beliefs on me and tell me my test is a waste of money and that I'm the reason premiums are so high! AWKWARD! I'm here for my check up and I should not have to defend or justify my requests for annual blood work because the PA doesn't agree with my choice to do so. I'm scheduled to go back next month for an appointment with Dr. graven and I'm seriously considering going somewhere else. :/ read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Erica Brown's for almost 10 years and I love her! I've also been seen by Dr. Graven a few times in those years and she's also great... here's my issue: THIS IS THE WORST OFFICE STAFF EVER!!! I saw Dr. Graven in July, I want an IUD, we talked about it and Dr. Graven said she'd get the ball rolling with my insurance. 4 weeks or so go by and I haven't heard anything from the office, so I called and they hadn't even ordered it yet!!!! They tell me it's going to be another 6 weeks or so. I wait 6 weeks, call again. Apparently the person that "handled" the IUD's is no longer working there so they are trying to "find" someone to handle these.. seriously? I'm told to check back in a couple weeks. I call back 2 weeks later, sorry! we haven't found anyone to take this job over yet. How can you tell your patients that are waiting for anything that "we're sorry, there just isn't anyone in this office that can order your IUD!" Really? So, I wait another 2 weeks or so and call back... same answer but this time they say, we'll have someone call you back today and give you more information. No one ever called. I waited 3 days, called back, and was told it would probably be a good idea if I found a new GYN because they just don't know if they can order my IUD. ???????? DR. GRAVEN: I hope you are reading this because your TERRIBLE staff is telling patients to find another GYN in order to get an IUD! Ridiculous! I can't believe how awful this office is. No on has ever been helpful, this isn't the first time I've had issues. If you need a prescription called into the pharmacy, forget it! It'll never happen. So now I am waiting until Tuesday, 11/17/15 until they have their big "meeting" to see whether or not someone in that damn office will order my IUD. This is so unacceptable for patients. If nothing is resolved on Tuesday, I guess I'm going to find a new GYN. Sad and unacceptable. read more

All this doctor cares about is money! I chose Graven as my OBGYN 6 years ago after my OBGYN of 15 years had retired. In these 6 years I have only seen her once. I am an older woman and I would like to see a real doctor even for my routine pelvic exams. So I make appointments to see Graven rather than one of her PAs. However, every year when I show up for the appointment, after waiting for 30 to 45 minutes her staff informs me that she was called to a surgery or delivery and won't be able to see me. I either have to reschedule to see her another day which still doesn't guarantee a visit with her or wait to be squeezed into the PA's schedule. Graven has simply over booked her practice and does not have time to see all her patients. She takes a lot of mom to be and pregnant patients because more deliveries and C sections bring more money. she leaves her none pregnant, none money making, older patients to the PAs. If you are not pregnant, forget about picking her as your doctor because you will never see her anyway. Another give away about her hunger for money is the display of beauty products in the waiting room. I am disgusted by her morals and her lack of respect for her patients and their time. read more

I have been going to Dr. Graven for over 10 years. During that time she helped me through a twin pregnancy and delivery with no c-section. I find the entire staff in Dr. Graven's office to be helpful. I am especially impressed with the Physicians Assistant, Erica Brown and Shawna Sopp. Over the years I have switched to seeing one of the two of them for my annual exams, as it is easier to get an appointment. They are kind and gentle, thorough and patient. During my pregnancy, I saw Dr. Graven for almost every appointment and she made it to my unexpected and fast delivery even though she was not on call. Her expertise in delivering multiples made me even more grateful she was my doctor for this pregnancy. I understand what other posters say about waiting to see Dr. Graven. She delivers a lot of babies and they come on their own schedule. This means sometimes regular appointments get bumped. I think the combination of excellent Physicians Assistants and a wonderful OB in Dr. Graven make this a great practice for all of your needs. read more
