I'm very sad to write this review. I ordered a special 60th birthday cake, started the process 5 weeks in advance. The order was a custom order placed on their website (via email). Communication was lacking, it took longer than their 48 hours advertised to get back to me. First time it was 3 days, second time it was a week (I also stopped by in person and left a written message to give me a call), this last time it's been a week and I haven't heard a word. I ordered a white cake (not yellow)...the cake decorator Karalee indicated they only have white vanilla cake, they do not have a yellow cake so not to worry. Order was for chocolate buttercream and raspberry buttercream (specifically said not preserves) with chocolate writing. See photo for what was received: white writing, raspberry preserves (not buttercream), and yellow cake. I was a little surprised at pick up with the white writing, but whatever. I was very disappointed when we cut into it later that night. For $100 and an 8 inch cake, I would expect to receive what I ordered. I called and asked to speak to a manager before I left a negative review with my experience. Alyssa said there wasn't one there. I asked to leave a message to have a manager call me back. She said that wasn't possible. Is there no manager?? So I emailed Karalee the cake decorator a week ago who said she would speak to the manager to make this right. I haven't heard a word. There is no communication with customers at this store which is disappointing. Cake tasted fine, it just wasn't what I ordered nor expected. My work offered to buy us some sort of dessert for winning at award at work. I chose these unicorn poop cupcakes. The unicorn poop itself is hard, which is not my favorite. But it was sent to Chicago from MN, and I was surprised by how moist and yummy it still was. The colors are so bright and I'm impressed they were even able to get it that bright. It tasted like a vanilla cupcake. And it was one of the best cupcakes I have ever had even though I didn't like the unicorn poop, so that says a lot! They packaged it with ice packs and a bag that sort of seals in the cold. My door man had put the package on its side and stuff and the cupcakes were not messed up, so they do a really good job at making sure the cupcakes are still really high quality and not messed up when they ship them to you! read more

I've been to Nadia's many times and been satisfied in the cupcakes. I stopped yesterday with my daughter. Both of our cupcakes were extremely dried out and old. I also bought a cookie dough bar. Every worker always greets you with a smile and patiently waits for you to pick which cupcakes you want - because let's face it - you want them all, but your wallet can't afford it and you're indecisive. We were originally going to buy 2 cupcakes but we saw that they had a couple 4-pack boxes of day old cupcakes at $5 when typically the cupcakes are $3.50 each. We decided to go with that option. Upon trying them, I think that overall they all tasted good but not amazing. The most interesting one was definitely the chocolate stout. The beer flavor came through nicely in the frosting and the dough. I did find the frosting to be way too sweet for all of them but especially on the carrot cake. I had heard how good their cakes were and I was not disappointed! They had 6 - SIX - gluten free flavors and another 4 gluten AND dairy free flavors. I was in heaven. I got the gluten free chocolate chip cookie dough cupcake and it was delicious. A lot of times, gluten free treats are either way too dry or way too moist. This particular recipe was spot on. You couldn't even tell it was gluten free! I loved it and will be back for more. The folks I was with who are not gluten free we're raving about their cupcakes as well.
