Nacho Don comes to NASA every week or so & I love when they come! Everybody is so friendly & the food is great. They have a good special for NASA employees for a small nacho, churro bites, and drink. Very good!

Visited Nacho Don's food truck while attending the Inaugural Weekend opening of the Houston Grub Hub, a group of Black owned food truck owner/ operators. The service was good & the employees were nice. Because we were planning to try a few different options, we ordered the kids sized nachos. They were delicious We did the 2 meat option of chicken & beef. They were good, just as you'd expect in a nacho, but the best part was the flavor. It was a really good combination of spices and the cheese stayed soft to the very last bite. Will buy a larger portion next time because we left nothing bit residue.

It is after not being able to find a good Mexican restaurant here in Canton OH that is prompting me to write this review. Gringo had some of the best Mexican food that I have ever had. The food was always delicious. It was my first time hearing about, and tasting charro beans, and they had the most flavorful taste; and Gringos was never skimpy with the chips and salsa. I like how the chips came in sealed bags to keep the crisp and freshness for to-go-orders. Maybe one day Gringos can expand to Ohio to show us what real Mexican food tastes like (Pappadeaux eventually expanded to Ohio).

This location in Pearland is near a shopping center and has plenty of parking all around. The inside is well decorated and has high ceilings and well-made furniture, plus there is quite a bit of seating so even when it is busy there is a good bit of room. We went shortly before 5pm on a weekend and only had to wait a few minutes to get a table. You can tell by how busy it stays that this is a popular place. I opted for the Plato Soldado (soldier plate) since they were running a Memorial Day/July 4th deal where a small donation was made for every order. It included a steak fajita taco, cheese enchilada, and pork tamale. All were excellent and there was plenty of steak inside. The sides were also great. My wife got the El Dorado (chicken smothered with sauce and other toppings) and really enjoyed hers. We also got some cheese dip and enjoyed plenty of chips, plus they give you some other sauces besides just salsa. All of their prices are quite reasonable and service was very quick, so I get why this place is so popular. Definitely check them out if you are in the Houston area, as they have many locations.

Service was a bit slow and our young server didn't seem very familiar with the menu nor knew anything about any of the premium tequilas in offer, which was a bit problematic as we requested more info and pricing of several -- and, every single time, the young lady had to leave for a few minutes and come back with an answer. Other than that, she provided courteous, albeit somewhat frustrating service [she didn't look too happy to be there :( ]. Apps started with a bunch of guacamole and chips - WHOA to the GUAC! Incredibly chunky, fresh, and obvi delicious. Entrees ordered by our group ranged from average to below average, but were all pretty well-seasoned. The standout for me, particularly because I find it harder to see offered at Mexican restaurants I typically frequent, was the COCHINITA PIBIL...in ENCHILADA form. Say WHAAA?! Yummmm! Sooo flavorful and HUGE. It smelled so good I devoured it for a bit before realizing I had not taken a photo yet. I'll note though, even that great dish was too rich to eat too much of, so it was definitely shared and we still had leftovers the next day. Would I come back? Absolutely! We just hope we get a different server that is better informed about their menu and outstanding tequila & mezcal selection.

We got a large Beef Fajitas Meal with Brochette Shrimp, rice, refried beans, corn n flour tortillas, etc. Every single bite whether it was complimentary salsa n beans to the rice n refried beans to the meat mass was very delicious, fresh, juicy and made with love. I don't usually like guac much either, but it can mix well with stuff here. The pico, shredded cheddar cheese, etc. were all great. Every single fajita piece was so well-seasoned, tender, moist and packed with flavor and consistency. The tortillas were so easy to chew and not over or underdone in anyway. The shrimp were mainly for my dad, so I didn't try them this time, bc I was too busy with the beef. Great, friendly, attentive service from our server too.

But this is by far the slowest service I have ever had at any Lupe's across the city in the 20 yrs I've been a patron. Long time between being seated and being offered water/drink orders taken. Long time to take our food order. Food was delivered to the table and we let the server know that we hadn't received our queso. It took so long for them to bring our queso, I was almost done eating my meal by the time it arrived.

Bottom line, plenty of spaces. Side note, they're not all spaced the way you might expect. Walking in, the place was hopping. Much more crowded than the former business. Pretty good sized menu. They serve you the red salsa, but you can ask for the green. The kind that gives you heart burn for hours. Worth it. Both salsa were great, chips were fresh. We ordered house margaritas, and those were also very good. Pricing was average. For food we ordered the parrillada El Malecon. Mixed beef and chicken, with ribs and quail. Here's where things went a little rough. We ordered the "for two" but the entire was still in a " for one" portion. 3 pieces of steak, 3 chicken, one quail 2 rib portions. Definitely seemed off. The manager came by, and we discussed. On THEIR menu, the double portion is only 4 strips of steak, 4 of chicken, still only one quail, and two rib portions. The reasoning we were given is that people don't seem to like the quail. First, nothing about this is "for two." For 45.99 this isn't it. The chicken and beef were good, the quail was not seasoned well unfortunately, and the ribs were over sauced with a cheap syrupy sauce. Overall food was a no. But here's where I also have to give credit. They stuck with their defense, and while we discussed someone brought a plate of chicken and beef. While we weren't going to ask for anything, we do appreciate their thoughtfulness and speedy resolution. Maybe they knew it was coming , or maybe they just jumped ahead to make it work. Either way, we appreciated that effort. Overall, service was great, food was 50/50. Wouldn't do the parrilladas again, but would try other menu items.

When the young man brought my order to the car, I specifically asked whether the Snack Attack came with chips and salsa. He appeared disinterested, mumbled "yes," and walked away before I could check the bag. When I checked, I found only the chips that accompanied the large queso--no salsa and no additional chips for the Snack Attack. I called the restaurant for clarification, and the gentleman who answered apologized and said he would send out chips and salsa. However, the same employee returned with only a container of salsa. When I explained that I had requested both chips and salsa, he then told me the Snack Attack did not include them and that they were only providing the salsa as a courtesy. The issue was not whether the chips and salsa were included. Had someone simply told me they were not, I would have gladly paid for them. The problem was receiving conflicting information, being repeatedly told they were included, and encountering an employee who seemed unwilling to provide clear or helpful service. Even after I asked to speak with a manager, what should have been a simple fix remained unresolved. As a frequent customer who spent nearly $80 on this order, I expected better communication and customer service. This entire situation could have been easily resolved with a clear answer and the opportunity to purchase the chips and salsa I requested.
