The energy was electric and the chips, salsa and drinks were great! One of the bartenders (with braids) was more attentive to others at the bar; however, another guy (who was more so cleaning up) stopped what he was doing to take care of me. Kudos to that guy (wish I could've gotten his name!). Nonetheless, I will definitely return.

Other than that, she provided courteous, albeit somewhat frustrating service [she didn't look too happy to be there :( ]. Apps started with a bunch of guacamole and chips - WHOA to the GUAC! Incredibly chunky, fresh, and obvi delicious. Entrees ordered by our group ranged from average to below average, but were all pretty well-seasoned. The standout for me, particularly because I find it harder to see offered at Mexican restaurants I typically frequent, was the COCHINITA PIBIL...in ENCHILADA form. Say WHAAA?! Yummmm! Sooo flavorful and HUGE. It smelled so good I devoured it for a bit before realizing I had not taken a photo yet. I'll note though, even that great dish was too rich to eat too much of, so it was definitely shared and we still had leftovers the next day. Would I come back? Absolutely! We just hope we get a different server that is better informed about their menu and outstanding tequila & mezcal selection.

The fajitas were absolutely amazing--perfectly seasoned, sizzling hot, and cooked just right. Tender, flavorful, and everything you expect when you think of Texas fajitas done right. The drink was just as on point: refreshing, well balanced, and made with care. Even though the restaurant is currently under construction, the experience did not suffer at all. In fact, the manager came by to check on us and took the time to talk about the renovations, which are expected to be completed by the end of the month. That level of attention and hospitality really stood out. Great food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere--even mid-renovation. This was the perfect welcome back to Texas, and I will absolutely be back next time I'm in the lone star state!

Here's where things went a little rough. We ordered the "for two" but the entire was still in a " for one" portion. 3 pieces of steak, 3 chicken, one quail 2 rib portions. Definitely seemed off. The manager came by, and we discussed. On THEIR menu, the double portion is only 4 strips of steak, 4 of chicken, still only one quail, and two rib portions. The reasoning we were given is that people don't seem to like the quail. First, nothing about this is "for two." For 45.99 this isn't it. The chicken and beef were good, the quail was not seasoned well unfortunately, and the ribs were over sauced with a cheap syrupy sauce. Overall food was a no. But here's where I also have to give credit. They stuck with their defense, and while we discussed someone brought a plate of chicken and beef. While we weren't going to ask for anything, we do appreciate their thoughtfulness and speedy resolution. Maybe they knew it was coming , or maybe they just jumped ahead to make it work.
