Wandering around hot and dusty and tired, in the middle of a piazza after lunch, with the Italian sun beating down on us, nothing appeals as much as a sign, 'Blue Ice.' Sure enough, it was a Gelateria. We went into the tiny shop, barely enough room for a few customers, and got a tasting each of a couple of flavors. I settled on my go to flavors of lemon and banana, which in account of them bring fruit, all gelaterias have as sorbets. My husband got his two usuals, pistachio and caramel, both gelatos. While I wouldn't write home about either the quality of the sorbets or about the customer service, both aspects are solid, and I have nothing to complain about. The prices are competitive with everyone else in the area.
