We got some samosas, Biriyani, Lamb curry and Nepalese spicy naan. The Biriyani was unlike the Biriyani we were used to and tasted good in its own way. Turns out spicy Nepalese naan isn't spicy. Infact it had ground fennel seeds and honey over your regular naan. The lamb curry was also mild and not too spicy. Overall, the food tasted great given the location and the streets are awesome to walk around after your lunch/dinner.

It isn't related to the other "Landing" restaurants that are around Toronto. There is a patio that looks out onto the marina. It's very lovely but we were afraid of bugs so we stayed inside. We noticed that another group that was originally outside moved in after it got dark. You can catch the sunset here though, very scenic! Inside they have normal tables and ones with loungey leather chairs. You tend to sink into the latter so it makes it a little harder to eat unless you're sitting right at the edge of the table. These would be great if you're just having a drink. Service was good. The waitress checked in on us a few times and our waters were always topped off. The food was the part that fell a bit short. The maple pork medallions were the best thing at the table. I ordered a pound of wings which is supposed to be an appetizer but was quite filling for me. Interestingly enough, I had wings earlier that day and this 1 pound of wings had more wings than the other place, so at least you got a lot more in quantity. In terms of quality, I had a garlic parmesean sauce. The bottom of the dish was almost all oil - I have to assume that this is from the parm oil. It almost looked like butter but didn't taste like it. The wings were pretty dry inside and out. I also found a tiny tiny fly mixed in with the cheese. Not sure if it was from the patio door being opened so frequently. My friend was also disappointed in the chicken pasta. It was pretty bland and she had to salt it a lot to no avail. We wanted to try the dessert to see if the meal could be salvaged. We ordered the caramel chocolate cake. This cake had a hint of soap taste to me. My friends liked it though. If you want something a little different than a chain restaurant, this wasn't bad. It wasn't as nice as other hotel restaurants but it was fine for a utility meal.

They don't usually take reservations ahead of the date but rather, they take it day of. However, since we were coming out of town, Tim made an exception for us! Thanks a bunch Tim! :D We ordered the Atlantic Cod and Deep Fried Mac and Cheese. Both were really tasty! I found the Deep Fried Mac and Cheese especially addictive (since they were in cute triangle bite-sized pieces, crispy on the outside and still cheesy and creamy on the inside) before we left to return to Toronto, we grabbed one for the road! We also tried the mozzarella sticks which were awesome when you had them freshly made and the cheesy-ness and stretchy-ness just added to the experience! The cod and halibut was good but they had Alaskan white fish which I thought was amazing. This is the only place that I know can get this fish. This is a must try. The prices are reasonable. The chips and the sweet potato fries were really good too. We also ordered the shrimp platter. It presented well but nothing special. They ran out of the crab cakes so we will try that another time. Will definitely come back for the Alaskan white fish.
