10/4/25 Saturday We…read morearrived around 6:45 PM and stayed for about an hour. There were a lot of vendors, but only some of them served dumplings, so the event name is a little misleading. The $60 pass only gets you unlimited beer, not dumplings. Only tried one dumpling truck and it has mostly typical flavors we could get elsewhere. Not to mention it took one hour for us to get our food. Parking near the venue filled up quick, but there is another lot a short walking distance away with plenty of spots. However, the entrance and exit is the same spot and only allows one car to pass, so be careful. Free performance near the blossom hall and on the other end of the festival, there is a live DJ and Kids Zone. No entrance fee for this festival, thankfully.

Furthermore, the line to get your food is extremely long which is not worth your time. Food prices are extravagant for pork dumplings, crepes, etc. Plenty of parking in and around the event. Overall, it's a small nice event for the SGV-Mission district community. I'd say visiting it once in your life would suffice.

I just wish time wasn't being counted when we had to watch long videos/listen to audios during the experience. It would be cool too if there were multiple puzzles for people to complete so everyone's occupied. Ausdon was super helpful! Definitely want to come back and do the other rooms. The themes looked so interesting! They also offer karaoke rooms and a bar. If you book another room/time after completing your current room, I believe you get a discount!

Our group has done many escape rooms, we seek them out and are always looking for new exciting rooms. The panic room was disappointing - felt like re-hash of other puzzles in other rooms you've been in before - but yet unsatisfying in a strange way. It was a pretty different experience from the setup, logistics, type of VR, the technology, the equipment and event the space (although there was a shell of the former spot). It was a pretty decent experience for a first timer with little VR experience, but it was objectively not as great as the previous place. The spacing and detection software was less accurate and the shooting game was almost unrealistic in terms of our ability to keep up with storyline and not die.

Been going for several years to attend a couple of their Huntington Gardens summer concert series…read more Wonderful performance :) Only downside for this year is that since the event was well attended- music was faint in some sections for the lawn seating. But the venue was fantastic since we could bring lawn chairs, wine, and other picnic items to enjoy. Also, a portion of the museum is open for display during intermission. Tips: bring bug spray if bugs find u delicious and students (college IDs ok) get a discounted concert price of $10 for lawn seating. We had tickets for loggia seating once but opted to sit in the lawn area with our foldable chairs since its way cooler and more comfortable. Overall a great experience for a summer night of entertainment.

Not worth the $80+ price tag after applicable fees for general weekend admission…read more Driving into World of Illumination was a breeze because we had the first time slot of the day (6pm). No long line to enter as it took us roughly 10 minutes from the entrance to the start of Reindeer Road. The entire drive through experience lasted maybe 15-20 minutes. There is a specific radio station to tune into which pairs with the dancing lights. If this is your first drive through Christmas lights experience, I could see the appeal but there are much better ones around SoCal for almost the same price tag (Nights of Light OC was amazing last year and there were even live actors included, Santa, "snow" etc.). Can't justify the price tag and would personally not recommend this particular Christmas light show.

Some signage would have been helpful except that only exists at gate 1. 20 minutes of playing find the entrance.. the worst part, we spent more time finding the place than driving the actual lights! We finally check in and slow drive through, it's not busy. We got the $59 pass from Costco but I added the lightning and 3D glasses package so it's a $100 trip, we take my friend and our kids and go! The website says the show is 25-30 minutes? Seriously, no. We started at 8:01 pm this was when we woke the baby up to see the lights and we were done by 8:13 pm. 12 minutes? What a joke. The lights were cool but some of them were broken, kind of ruined the effect for some of the areas, for the price I would at least expected it to be maintained better for the length of their show. C'est la vie. Next year I'll try a different show, but this was less than expected for the price!

I love all the creatures. My fave one was the one that took place in DTLA 3 years ago. That venue was spacious and beautiful. The only concern I have is the 2 hour time limit. There's a lot to see and do in 2 hours, plus, you gotta make sure you get all your mini cocktails included in your admission. All the rooms are spectacular and the shows are fascinating. It is always hard to solve the mystery since you have to talk to all the characters for various clues. This year, we decided just to enjoy everything.

Premier Tickets: My 2 friends & I had Premier tickets; No line, expedited entry, as well as 5 craft cocktails of our choice (non-alcohol or alcohol) & truffles curated by a chocolate sommelier, yum! The truffles had me at hello, so delicious! One of my favorite drink combos of the night: Clever Fox Rum, Pineapple, Banane Du Bresil, Coconut, Liquer & Lime! Yum! Bartenders were friendly & we tipped them at each station! Dress Code: Your choice of Halloween Costumes, Cocktail Attire or Period Piece Attire! I combined two & was a Princess; wearing an elegant gown I purchased for the event & a sparkly crown, which I already owned! My friends went all out, dressed as 2 of the characters from a popular movie! Fun! Vibe: The crowd was amazing, friendly & often complimented each others costumes, as well as took photos together! Fun! I even had a few people bow/curtsy because of my costume! So funny & friendly! Also, the venue was so spacious; there was a ton of space to move about throughout the venue! Lights, Camera, Action: What a show! Whether the actors were on stage performing, including singing(incredible voices!) or walking around in phenomenal costumes & staying in character, I was excited at every turn! I was in awe of the details & energy that went into the costumes & performances along the way, as we navigated numerous rooms on about 4 floors of the venue!(Wear comfy shoes; stairs!) Interactive: There is a storyline; characters walk around giving you clues & tell you stories! While watching an onstage performance, they called for volunteers & my friend was incorporated into the scene, which was awesome & she had fun! I will admit to screaming a few times when the characters would suddenly appear, while walking through the maze, but it was good fun! Hahaha! Fancy & Talented: Chandeliers were everywhere, which I love!! The rooms were moody & had a glow about them! There were mazes, stories that were told, numerous photo opps, spectacular theatrics & so much more! There were even dancers pouring drinks while twirling & doing acrobatics while suspended in the air! Wowsers! Incredible! Overall: Loved House of Spirits at Casa Vertigo! The event was above & beyond what I had imagined! The production & presentation of it all was impressive on every level! I'm looking forward to going again next year! Fun times with friends! Happy Halloween, Everyone!
