Let's just put it out there: The British need to make up their minds on the "U" factor. Is it color…read moreor colour? 'Cause either way, it seems like I'm always wrong here. (Or would that be wroung?) "Without or Without U..." as Bono would say. Anyway, once you get over the lack of U in The Color Company, you'll find yourself in a nice little printing shop. It's listed in Google as FedEx/Kinkos, which seems to either be their partner, model, or recent acquisition. Whatever the case, it was super-Bieber-awesome to find everything from printing and faxing to passport photos and overnight FedExing. ...Especially that overnight FedExing. Clutch.

Last night I had a small but rush job due to an unexpectedly molasses-slow printer, and the Curzon St branch in Green Park gave me a couple of quotes very promptly. I ended up not confirming till this morning. About 30 mins after I put in the order, a very sensible person suggested that I should try to do this at Fenchurch St instead, much closer to my final destination on Bishopsgate. When I contacted Curzon St to say I wouldn't need the docs anymore but I'd of course pay, they said "Don't worry about it at all and here is the name of the staffer at Fenchurch St who comes in before 8am, just email her and it'll be fine." And indeed it was - and when I was at Fenchurch St to pick up my print job, the woman also paying said to the staffer, "Great job, thanks as always." Thanks Phil, Marcin and Anna for your help last night and this morning. Looking forward to using The Color Company again for our future printing needs.

I immediately ook the parcel back to the shop on Lower Marsh (with the receipt) expecting a refund for the lack of fulfilment of the service I had paid them for. They refused and blamed it on Royal Mail, so I took the parcel to the local Royal Mail post office who told me that Mail Boxes Etc had not put the correct 'international' franking on it, which was why the Spanish postal service had not delivered it. So I went back to the Mail Boxes office and they denied that they had made any mistake, and still refused to refund the postal fee. Don't waste your money with these people!

Yesterday I came to pick up a delivery after receiving an email just over a week ago advising of its arrival. I was delayed collecting it due to being out of London - and the package was an unplanned missing part of a previous delivery. On arrival the lady was on the phone and, on me asking for the package, did not hang up but rudely began talking ABOUT ME to the person on the other line (Who I assume was a colleague) saying how long the package had been there and how long I'd taken to collect it. I was a bit shocked but told her that I had only received the email last week, to which she replied that she had 'personally' sent one out much earlier than that. Then, instead of just collecting the package for me, went to her computer and started scrolling through her emails looking for proof of this ... unsurprisingly she could not find it. After being charged an additional £12.50 late fee, she came round the counter to the main customer area and fetched my box - which was piled up alongside other customers' boxes behind some sort of cardboard cut-out in the corner. This is not secure as anyone could just take them. I could also see there was plenty of space in the area behind the counter where deliveries are meant to be kept. I would also like to note that earlier this year I recieved an email about a different delivery waiting to be picked up - I travelled from North-West London to Waterloo to fetch it (Waterloo is the closest branch to me that takes deliveries). On arrival the lady, without apologising, said that the email was meant for someone else and walked away. At the time I just put this down to human error but now I really wish I had said something considering they are not willing to extend me the same courtesy. I've decided to close my account, even though I've been using it regularly, as its more hassle than its worth ... and I've noticed the two ladies working there are not always that pleasant with other customers either. Real shame.

The guy that came (think his name might have been John) was lovely. The rate was reasonable for a few hours work, and he text me the evening before to confirm that he would be arriving at my house at the allotted time. He was really friendly and we had a good chat on the journey to the new flat, where he quickly unloaded all of my crap and wished me the best of luck. Would definitely recommend if you're looking to move - the service was faultless!

I had to move to the the block of flats next door and had been struggling with shifting stuff. As I could not face moving the sofa bed I called the man (actually men!) and van team. They went though what was needed for the move and were very responsive on email. For a price of £60/hour they provided two men and a van with a day's notice and moved all of my heavy stuff in less than two hours! They took great care over the items and took care when moving doing a job that that my friends and I would have taken the whole day to do and potentially damaged items. In terms of practicalities, there is a minimum spend of £90 with £30 of this paid by PayPal as a deposit, the rest is in cash. There is an extra charge for weekend (10% I think) and congestion area jobs but your 10% yelp discount should take care of that. Otherwise happy moving, this company makes it much easier!
