I started out at the Clarksville store, where I saw a great-looking set of wheels, just not in my size. The store ordered it for me, and even offered I ship to a location more convenient to me. Much to my surprise, I learned that the former Bicycle Sport was turning into a Scheller's in my neck of then woods. Scheller's transported the bike to this new store. It's a great space, wide open with high rafters to allow in plenty of natural light. Brooke helped get me set on my bike, and after a spin around the block, I decided that it was indeed the bike for me. Marty Scheller himself took the time to introduce himself and say hello while I was in, adding to the local feel of the store. With lifetime maintenance, I know that I am not only happy with my purchase, but also with the great service that I will get in the months to come!

    We took our two road bikes to this location of The Bicycle Station. Main location is apparently in…read moreIndianapolis and Columbus Indiana. Believe me, next time we'll go to Columbus even though it's farther away. We came to pick up our bikes and pay the bill after being notified they were ready. The bill was over $500 for tuneups and new tires. I later realized that they do no work at this location, sending the bikes to another location for the work which took at least two weeks. When we arrived the person, Trey with whom we had dealt was on the phone. A young lady with a very pretty dog asked me if she could help me. I told her my name is Reiter and we were picking up our two bikes. She asked me again what my name was and I told her again, they she aske me again why we were there so I told her again. I notices that she did not seem to understand me, and I did not know why. When she asked me the third time what my name was I told her again more loudly as I feared she might be hearing impaired just as I am. She took offense saying there was no need to yell at her. I told her I was afraid she did not hear me as she asked my name three times. She accused me of being very rude. At this point, Trey got off the phone and I turned to him to conclude our business and leave with our bikes before things got out of hand. I told the young lady that if I had offended her I was sorry and she started in again about how rude I was. At this point, I paid up and we just got our of there, never to return. I can not comment on the other locations but I can not recommend the Jeffersonville location of The Bicycle Station. We have the two road bikes and two E-Bikes which we will be taking elsewhere for service and reapairs.

I purchased a used $2,000 SL e-bike, only to find out AFTER paying that they did not have a charger. It would take a few days to arrive. A week later I had to follow up and ask about it. I was told it would would be here the next day. I visited the store and they didn't have it and did not call to let me know. It ended up taking over two weeks to receive. Once I finally charged the bike and was able to ride it, I discovered it lacked the hill-climbing capabilities I was explicitly promised, despite explaining I needed to haul a kid trailer around my hilly neighborhood. I had them confirm 2-3 separate times the bike was good up hills. The SL model, which stands for "super light," unfortunately has reduced power and isn't suited for hills, much less with a trailer. This left me with a $2,000 bike that's unrideable. I requested an exchange for a more capable bike, even offering to pay the difference. It took over a week for a response. They offered to buy it back for a mere $1,200. Additionally, the bike I hoped to exchange it for was no longer on sale. I believe in supporting local bike shops, but find one that will treat you better.
