I was invited to a birthday party here for my sons classmate…read more I was not impressed with the overall set up, but then again, I guess it's meant to be a practical set up. I expected it to go along with it's name... when you enter there are regular plastic banquet tables with attached benches set up on either side of the room. Rows of shelves line the walls on all sides with plaster molds for ones selection, against equally uninspiring colored walls. A little cluttered console table makes for a counter tucked before another seperate-just as practical room. If your main focus is to paint molds and chat then its great. If you're seeking a bit more whimsy and atmospher you can creat the same scene offered at home with a few thoughtful purchases from Target or Amazon. Aside from the serviceable air, my kids enjoyed their selves at the party. The staff were nice and although my sons little projects were hardly glazed... the kids were happy. I wouldn't return again.

This school has equipment for all aspects of the process (crucible / investment for casting wax into metal, wax injector, enamel kiln, polishers, tumblers, etc.). The founder of the school, Robert, has been teaching jewelry making for around 40 years so he can answer most questions and give advice for dealing with issues as they arise. He also teaches lots of techniques that aren't covered in other schools, such as different ways to set stones / diamonds. I'm still in the process of finishing my current course (360 part-time comprehensive jewelry course), but once I'm done I intend to keep coming for open studio hours.

I have been a student for over a year and plan on continuing to go to the studio for open workshop.

She was so proud of herself at the masterpiece she created that she beams every time someone comes over and looks at it hanging on our living room wall. Orit has a special way of connecting with children. She made my daughter feel like a star especially since she has been going through a hard time. I would highly recommend you bring your children here. There are a lot of art places around but what differentiates this one is how amazing Orit is with the kids. They were very professional and were super helpful from check in, breaks, to check out. There are lockers available for you too keep your things in. A small bag (backpack) can fit in the lockers very easily. The bathrooms are located right next to the testing room which is a plus. There is no microwave or fridge that you can store your things in but as I mentioned earlier the locker is good enough for this stuff. The testing center is slightly on the colder side so carry a light cardigan with you if you get cold easy. They have noise cancelling headphones available to use if you need them at all but it was very quiet in general so it should be ok. You'LL have your own cubical for the testing so that's very nice and free from distractions for the most part. Hope this was helpful.
