Your service is horrible and when I had enough and asked for Mike the owner to contact me, crickets! Never a response! I could have bought my own RTAs and done the same or better job. I told them this because we built a bar area smaller in our media room! The quality of the cabinets were not to my standards for the price. My wall had to be repainted which they should have offered to pay for since the installer made marks all over because they sold me long floating shelves that was never installed at that length so had to install different brackets and notch the shelves to fit the brackets. 3times out here to install two shelves and 3 1/2 cabinets. I was set for me and my daughter to follow with full kitchens but we are going elsewhere now. Over $60k worth of lost business, not sure who wants that! The plans were ready to be executed. If you are looking for a good look and good quality this is not the place!!!

The cabinets we ended up with are extra custom. We wanted a more modern kitchen than I expect is very common in Nashville (several cabinetry companies our contractor typically works with could only give us Shaker cabinets, which isn't what we wanted), but Builder Supply Source had flat panel cabinets, which is the modern look we wanted. When they didn't have the exact stain color we wanted, they worked with us to create some samples based on some Pinterest/Houzz pictures I sent over. A few days after I sent the photos over, we had four samples at our house. We really liked three of them, narrowed it down to two, and finally picked one. I really appreciated that they were willing to work with us to get the color just right! We had a few little issues (one small panel of wood came slightly scratched up), but Builder Supply Source took care of everything. We worked with Will, who was great from our first meeting with him (we were in his office for about an hour talking about options and coming up with the best cabinet layout). And - at the end of the project - we're just in love with our cabinets (as well as with the hardware we ordered through Builder Supply Source). They were great to work with and the final product is exactly what we wanted. I don't think we would have ended up with the kitchen we had in our minds if it weren't for Builder Supply Source!

The first project went very well so I elected to work with them again. It's been a few years and the people who worked on my first job were gone. Unfortunately the new group was nowhere near the standard I expected for the prices they charge. Poor communication, forgetting about key elements of my project, and trying to upcharge me for providing no additional value are a sampling of the problems I had. I basically felt like my job was unimportant to them and an inconvenience. Again, the work itself is of high quality, but unless they fix their serious customer service problems, I can't recommend working with Hartert-Russell. I will not hire them again in the future.

We made many changes and his guys were never flustered by it, but actually liked the chance to bring their creativity to the job They came up with some wonderful custom modifications that added the "next level" feel. He also remodeled the master bath and did a very creative install of multi section mirror/cabinet on a wall with a pocket door. And the floors, AMAZING FLOORS! The repaired, sanded and beautifully restained the entire white oak first floor. I was there when his team was working and they had great care and passion for their work and it shows. Shelving leaves a lot to be desired. only a couple were of great quality and were banded all around. Others were just smoothed wood on front with rough edges on the other three sides. This does not allow for flipping the shelves during their lifetime if one side of shelf has an issue. Even after showing Andy the shelving, his comment was "are you really going to be able to feel those shelves way up there?" What?!! I paid for basically a new car's worth of cabinetry...I expect new car quality in my products! Shame Timberland!
