The furniture was a nice mix of new and old, giving a new place already a sense of presence and history and it's a cut above the ikea crap so many places in P-Berg suffer with. I'm going back for the chili, the ambience, and the music. A great selection of jazzy covers. And the large windows will be a good place to sit with a cup of joe in the coming winter months. We came in mid afternoon for a coffee and something to eat, but nothing could have prepared me for the treat which awaited me. I went for a weisse schoko-himbeer-schnecke - a white chocolate and raspberry filled enriched bread and... well, frankly it was life changing. One of the most delicious baked items I've ever eaten. I've hunted for the recipe online since returning to the UK but without success. Coffee was really good too and the service was pleasant. The weather was hot so they had big windows open at the front of the cafe, although quite a lot of sparrows had flown inside which were a bit of a nuisance. But the baked goods! You'd forgive anything to lay your hands on these. So good. Next time I'm in Berlin, this is my first stop.
