Very nice coffee, nice croissants and I promise next time to try some cake or their self made icecream as well. In the middle of the restaurant is a big hob on which staff is cooking in front of you, which adds to the entertainment factor the owner seems to look for. Really big show in there and at some times strongly frequented.

Ich liebe Guterhof!…read more Guterhof is an awesome bar/ restaurant. It was one of the first places to go in Schaffhausen and I always enjoy my time here. They have amazing decor and the ambiance is so nice. The indoor seating is cozy yet elegant and there are places to sit outside with warm cozy blankets. The two bars are bright and well decorated. The HUGO was the first drink I tried here. It was absolutely amazing. I'd never had something like that before!!! It was also one of the most expensive drinks I've ever had (13CHF, thank you Switzerland) but worth every penny. (Actually my boyfriend's sister told me the ingredients and I bought them at Coop and made my own... and it tasted just as good!!! :-O! ) But I have heard that Guterhof makes HUGOs especially well. Anyway, I also really like the setup at Guterhof. There are several different sitting areas and they all have their separate feel. There is a small area for high chairs and table tops, the bar, the cozy and comfy seating, the "deck" seating (also used as a dance floor) and nice dinner tables towards the back. I was also told that it used to be an old station? of some kind? The interior is old looking wood adorned with glamorous furniture and pretty lights. Guterhof's always fun.
